Questions

No matter format I shoot on, whether it is H265 10 bit (MOV) or 8 bit (MP4) or RED format, no matter what the frame rate or HD or 4K, frames or constantly dropping in playback and and the footage looks heavily pixelated. Most of the footage also plays with lag in Window Media player as well, but my computer has NEVER had a problem playing 4K footage before now.

Hi,I have recently upgraded to a ROG Zephyrus Gu605cw laptop and installed the hard drive where I keep my project into my new laptop. I installed Premiere 26.2.2 (Build 3). My project opens up without any problem any everything works well for the first 5 minutes. But then the timeline starts freezing even at 1/2 mode and the Play button won’t work at all. I click on a different time stamp of the video or drag the timeline but the preview window isn’t updated. I keep seeing the same footage/image on the playback window. Play button won’t work. However, all other functions work just fine in the meanwhile other than this issue. On the other hand, when I try to close the program, it gets frozen too. The only way to exit the program is to force close it with Ctrl-Alt-Del.Clearing cache, reinstalling the Premiere, shifting between different workspaces, changing resolution didn’t help. Hello!  I seem to be having trouble with this AI Object Mask tracking data.I work in office and at home so I switch from a PC to a Macbook depending on the day.  When working on my PC and making Mask Tracks, everything works great when I close the project and re open it.However, when I open the project on my Macbook, the Masks are just no longer there. Everything is linked, there are still track points, but no mask.  I’ve made sure it’s assigned to opacity and everything,

Whenever I sync multiple audio tracks down to the nearest sample using "show audio time units" and THEN move my clips to a different part of the sequence, to a new sequence, duplicate the sequence, or even just close and re-open my project file, all the audio in my sequences un-syncs back to where it was originally, to the nearest frame. It's like premiere just forgests everthing about where I moved my audio track to at a sample level and only remembers information at the frame level. All my audio is in 48 kHz and it's not a drift issue. All the clips just un-sync when I do any of those things above.Anyone have a solution or workaround for this, or is it just a bug in premiere they need to fix?

Premiere Pro V23.0.0 - Build 63iMac Retina 5K, i9, 64gb, 580X 8gbMonterey v12.6Transcribing sequences works like magic and is pretty accurate but I have to edit them. The split and merge buttons do nothing anymore. They used to work fine. Sometimes rebooting the machine temporarily solves the issue but they always stop working after a short time.Also, editing speakers to change the names themselves or to change who a block is attributed to stops working usually after the first edit after restarting Premiere. After closing and restarting Premiere I can usually then edit who said what and what the speaker names are but being able to do so only lasts for one or two edits before I have to restart Premiere again.Working in corporate video transcripts is an essential part of our process. I love the feature but currently dread having to edit transcripts in Premiere as getting corrections made is so inefficient.

That said, I came up with an idea to fake in a morning sunrise on an old church I had photographed in full light with some dramatic clouds. I'm wondering if it is possible in  PP to open a sequence with the morning image and gradually replace it with the full daylight, and if so how? Or is this better in after effects at which I am worse than PP. Any and all replies are welcome, good, bad or ugly. I have dozens of text items that I would like to reposition with one command rather than moving each individually. Is that possible? Using the Master Style tool I can adjust their color and fontof all text items simultaneously, but somehow Master Style does not include any text alignment parameters. Intuitively, you would expect that you could select all text items and then just go to the Effects panel to transform them as you'd do for a single text item. Sadly, that feature isn't implemented. These text items are burned-in Closed Captions that I created manually because the editing of built-in Closed Captions is a mess, but now I'm seeing that the text tool might be limited too. When i open Premiere Pro 2026 it says "Premiere Pro requires access to the following folders: Downloads".The folder "Downloads" already has permission to write & read and also the app has Full disk Access, but its not working. I also tried restarting the computer. 

The Paint Bucket effect disappeared from my Premiere; it’s not where it should be, and with its disappearance, all my presets that used the Paint Bucket are also gone. I use this effect a lot; it makes no sense for them to remove it from Premiere. My current version is 24.6.1

I need to install Premiere Pro 2023 / version 23.x, but it is not available in my Creative Cloud app. I can only see version 25.x under “Other versions”.I need version 23.x because I have an exam in Premiere Pro, and the exam computer will use the 2023 version. Is there any official way to download or install Premiere Pro 2023?

Hello, just want to know if this has happened to anyone else before too. I think my file was corrupted from Premiere Pro not functioning.I have a sequence (B) in a sequence (A). I went to try to open Sequence B, and it would preview it in the project window but not really open it. Closing the project and re-opening it then caused the Sequence B to already be open, but not Sequence A. So I tried searching for Sequence A. After scrolling through my entire list in the project window (because every Premiere Pro user knows that the search bar doesn’t actually work), I found it, but it did the same glitch and refused to open Sequence A. Restarted my whole computer and it went back and forth deciding which to open and which wouldn’t.What can I do if this ever happens? Did my file get corrupted somehow?One last note, is that as always Premiere Pro rearranged the order of my sequences upon startup. But this time an usual amount were not opened. This has happened in After Effects before too but

I'm trying to do the karaoke style of captions, and it seems like there is no way to do this in Premiere without duplicating 100+ times and manually typing the captions in for each line  This CANNOT be the actual workflow, surely?? Surely you can create captions that using a .aegraphic files without paying $150 for Captioneer. Someone please tell me I'm just being a noob, because this can be done automatically in free apps.  

Hello, everyone! I’ve been tearing my hair out over Premiere since yesterday! I filmed an interview with someone wearing glasses. There are blue reflections on them. I’d like to reduce them by creating a mask and tracking. But when I try to change the shape of my mask (which I initially created with the Pen tool) and select another keyframe, the mask’s shape changes on all the previous keyframes. Thanks for your help. 

Hello Premiere-Pro community. I've been working on a series of short information films which must be captioned, and consistency is of importance. In earlier versions of premiere the captions I worked with was per-line and the boxed semitransparent background behind the text always merged. I like this style since it's easy to read and doesn't cover to much of the picture. There has been a lot of upgrades with the caption tool (I mean it’s finally usable. Thank you Adobe) but I can’t find a way to merge the background boxes. When I increase the size on the background boxes they start to overlap. I can choose a size that overlap by a pixel. Hardly noticeable but it’s there and the box can’t be bigger because then the overlap is too apparent. Now, this irritates me to no end because I can’t for the life of me understand why anyone would want overlapping boxes for the caption background AND its inconsistent with the style I used in the earlier films. I have added some audio to my Premiere Pro project as you can see below. It plays perfectly in the Preview but it does not get exported. Why? What’s up, please?  

i’m using premiere 2026 and we use a base sequence for multiple newscast everyday.  This sequence has text, music and several graphic elements that stay the same other than getting moved around on the sequence and the text getting changed.  We then add video that changes from show to show.  We are currently using Avid and have a template saved with all the elements that we just drag in to a timeline.  Is there a way to do that in Premiere 2026? 

Hellllppp, please!The video clips that I have imported in my Premiere Pro project are all distorted (stretched horizontally) when exported. I have tried everything like setting Pixel Aspect Ratio  to Square Pixels (1.0), New Sequence From Clip, Modify > Interpret footage, but nothing changes. All my videos show stretched horizontally without keeping proportions, and not filling the screen vertically.

I’m trying to set up so I can text base edit I can create a transcript in Dutch but from here I cannot edit.I need to Generate text-base editing transcript but as soon as I do that it puts every thing in englisch not in Dutch. I cannot find the solutions for it, any input is highly appriciated
