Video Transition Handles is a new feature in Premiere 26. Great if that’s your style but I’m doing hard cuts 99% of the time. The icons keep getting in the way of dragging the clip as well as extending or trimming the clip. Looking for a way to turn it off. 

Hi,I have a radio event filmed on camera plus the radio station’s audio file of the same, and the timing is slightly different. If I sync up at one point it’s not long before one track outpaces the other.How to coordinate precisely?DC

I attempted to post this to questions, but apparently it should be a bug report? The community expert told me I posted in the wrong forum, but didn’t tell me where it belongs.At any rate, I have a gazillion extra preset copies in my essential sounds panel. I haven’t the foggiest idea how they got there. I can delete them one by one, but it would literally take me the whole day.  How can I resolve this on the finder level?  

ISSUE:Text-based editing transcript selection stopped translating to timeline selection in Premiere Pro 26.0.1 (Build 3). Workspace setting changes every time I export a videoEvery time I export a video, one of the panels disappear and I have to choose a different workspace, then choose another one in order for the panel to reappear. It's been going on for months, even after updates.

In the latest version, I'm trying to use the Mosaic effect to cover faces in video. Previously, when you selected the Mosaic option in an Adjustment Layer, it gave you the option to create shapes and resize and rotate them as needed. Now, in both the new Mosaic effect and the Mosaic Legacy effect, the option to create shapes or masks has disappeared.

Why do I get such crummy playback in Premiere? Do I have something set up wrong?My computer struggled to do basic playback in Premiere so, when I built my next system, I looked for specs that should have allowed smooth 4K editing. But playback was still ****.Figured it was my fault so, this time, I decided to let someone else build it.I just purchased a workstation from Puget Systems.Intel Core Ultra 9 285K 3.7GHz 24 Core 36MB 125W 96GB  Kingston DDR5-5600 MSI GeForce RTX 5080 INSPIRE 3X OC 16GB Windows 11And … it struggles on playback. I have three tracks:1920*1080 MOV file exported from Animate. A single voice over track (.WAV or .MP3) A single music track (.WAV)I’m playing back in a tiny little window (30%) and half resolution. Playback stutters. Sound frequently drops out altogether.Do I have something set up wrong? How does this problem persist no matter how much RAM and horsepower I throw at it?Thanks for any insights. 

Is it possible to make dubbing video in Premiere Pro?  

Just opened Premiere to edit a video and the beginning of one of my clips is slowed down or delayed (whichever you call it), which isn't the case in the video file on VLC or the YouTube video I downloaded it from. I did not slow it down myself, that's the raw clip. It's only the beginning of the clip that's slowed down/delayed, the rest of the clip is fine. Win 11 25H2, Premiere Pro 26.0. Bonjour à tous, En essayant, sur les conseils de l’un de vos experts, l’export d’une vidéo avec comme réglage d’encodage de débit le VBR 2 passages (pour une meilleure qualité d’image en rendu final), j’ai constaté que la vidéo exportée était bien plus sombre que celle d’origine.Je m’explique : les clairs deviennent plus foncés, et les foncés sont très accentués par rapport à la version d’origine ou même la vidéo sur laquelle j’ai travaillé ce que, évidemment, je ne souhaite pas. Est-ce normal sachant que lorsque je fait un export VBR 1 passage, je ne constate pas ce problème ? Comment puis-je y remédier ? Autre question : depuis la mise à jour vers la dernière version d’Adobe Premiere Pro, j’ai remarqué que même en sélectionnant VBR 1 passage, j’ai deux débits qui s’affichent. Le débit cible et le débit maximum. Or avant, un seul s’affichait dans ce cas présent. Et j’aimerais garder, sur mon travail actuel, un VBR 1 passage pour justement éviter que l’image s’assombrisse exagérément. 

Hi everyone,I’m experiencing heavy lag in Adobe Premiere Pro 2025 and I’ve narrowed it down to captions/subtitles being the main culprit. I wanted to ask if anyone has found good workflows or workarounds so captions can stay visible without slowing the timeline too much. Observed behavior:Timeline playback initially lags but becomes smoother after a few seconds.Moving clips or repositioning video layers becomes very delayed.Typing text becomes extremely laggy + delayed.When I hide the captions track, everything becomes smooth again immediately. I actually need captions visible while editing for extra comprehension (lol), so keeping them hidden isn’t ideal for my workflow. Questions:Is this a known limitation of captions in long-form timelines?Are there recommended workflows for editing long podcast/multicam projects with captions enabled?Are there caption settings or preferences that reduce timeline redraw or processing load?Any advice or workflows from editors who regularly cut long-f

I don’t know how this got through QA testing, but it’s practically impossible to use either rolling edit tool or ripple edit tool because of the gigantic timecode overlapping audio waveformPlease fixA workaround is to have your pointer over the audio cut instead of the video cut(Windows 11) 

Whenever I create text layers - for L3 or other on-screen copy, like credits - and send to Media Encoder to export, the text layers seem to not export. However, if I export within Premiere it's fine. Anyone else having this issue? Or any workarounds?

 Premiere Pro 2025 has been working perfectly with Media Encoder 2025, but having upgraded both to 2026, all of my renders fail. I think its not connecting to the Dynamic Link Librari. How can I solve this, please?

Hello, I have been editing a documentary on and off for the past year. Last march, I booked a recording studio and recorded a majority of the voiceover directly into the timeline of my project. I have been working on the project in chunks, and I finished a chapter today. When I returned to my voiceover sequence, I learned that the main file had gone offline, and that the individual chunks of audio I had been using seemed  to have been cached by premiere. I regularly go through files on my computer to clear program caches, because editing takes up a lot of space and disc power, and fear that I may have accidentally done away with my voiceover. I was wondering if someone with more insight into premiere pro’s file management can give me insight into what may have happened here, and if this information is at all recoverable… It will be another expense and lots of lost time to rerecord this file!! I want to set in/out points for an image and add it to the timeline, but I've noticed occasional one-frame discrepancies. My specific steps are as follows: setInpoint = 0setoutpint to 14000 frame, using ticks, calc by timebase * frames.insert to a 23.976 fps timeline, the image will only length with 13999. The ticks should be the most accurate, but there still seems to be a one-frame deviation. Inserting frames 10000, 13990, and 30000 works without errors. However, frames 14000 and 14899 do produce errors. It seems to be due to a rounding error somewhere.Does an image have a frame rate? It seems not? Or is it a problem with how it's calculated? I also tried obtaining the time object of the next segment and its ticks to fill in the gaps, but there was still a frame discrepancy, which is quite strange.  Does anyone have any thoughts on this? I am needing to use Roboto in my project. It is showing up as a random font. I have tried everything - deleting and re-installing the dont, tried adobe font, deleted cache, rendered. Nothing will change my text to the roboto font even though it is selected  

I'm using Premiere Pro version 25.2. I need to edit a 13 minute talking head video.There's only one mp4 file consisting of one video and audio clip linked together. I transcribed the audio and sequence. Automatic in/out points are selected. I tried doing it with "follow active monitor" selected and also without that option selected. I re transcribed the clip and sequence twice already.I restarted my laptop twice already.I restarted premiere pro twice already.If I remove pauses, then it correctly edits the clips on the timeline.But if I delete words from the transcript, those changes are not selected in the timeline. Toggle track is on for the audio clip that I'm trying to edit for. Can someone please tell me why my text based editing is not working???I don't have the time to cut out all of the mistakes manually in all of my talking head videos!

So I made some lower 3rds a couple years ago, that always showed up in Graphic Templates/my templates on Premiere. I used them several times in other projects. However, my hard drive crashed a couple weeks ago and I had to replace. I still have access to the files on the old drive, so I’ve been slowly copying files over that I need. However, I cannot find those the lower 3rds I’ve been using. I’ve went through AppData (Yes, it’s a Windows machine), and all the folders suggested to try did not have anything. What are some  other places I can look? Or am I out of luck and do I have to re-create these graphics again? 

I have a macbook pro M1 Max with 32 GB of ram and mac os Sequoia 15.7.4 and I cannot download premiere 26.  until now I was using an intel mac with no problem.  What can I do to my new computer to make it work with premiere?
