Normally when I post on here it's out of frustration with a bug or an unwelcome UI change. However, I just want to take a second to give the devs some love for their update of the proxy toggle button in the source and program monitors. Now, finally, it's completely clear whether proxies are turned on or off (no more trying to remember if blue means proxy footage or master footage). This is a very welcome change. Thanks!

I can't seem to find an export setting that properly displays both photos and text animations. If the animations work, the photos lag. Please let me know if anyone has advice! Thank you. 

I have a Lenovo Legion T7 computer, Core Ultra 9, 64GB, 4TB, RTX 5080 16GB. I'm having trouble exporting videos.

I have installed the most current versions of Premiere and After Effects.  I start with having both programs open.1. Right-click a clip in the Premiere timeline.2. Choose 'replace with After Effect compostion'3. A composition populates in After Effect but there is no clip.I tried doing this by starting with After Effects not open.  Same result.  

I can't open the "Text" panel to edit my captions. I've tried Window > Text. And right clicking on the caption layer in the timeline and selecting "View in Text panel" but nothing happens. No window pops up. No new tab is opened. And I don't get a check mark by "Text" showing it's open. Any solutions to getting this window open so I can better edit captions and (the reason I realized I don't have a Text panel) so I can export just an .srt? We used to be able to do this through File>Export>Caption, but that's not there anymore. Working in Premiere version 15.0.0.Thanks.

Anyone else have issues with audio tracks in premiere? This has been an issue for me for a LONG time. It seems as if there is NO difference between:READLATCHTOUCHWRITEOFF I've been working around this for a while but it's frustrating. Current frustration? Mute a track to listen to another. Now that toggling on/off of the mute track is written into the sequence. Yes, I have it in (what would assumed be the correct mode). No matter what, it defaults back to touch. Which doesnt make sense. Toggle on and off a compressor to get it dialed in? That toggling on and off is writen into the sequence. I've tried every mode possible and they all do the same thing.

Hi,   My team and I make up to 100 videos every day. We have a selection of up to 1,000 background videos that we can use, and I wanted to ask if there is any way to have these background videos sorted randomly each time we make a new video, because right now they are always in the same order.   I've already searched for plugins and found one, but it's not available in the EU and has problems with more than 50 videos in a folder. (File Order Randomizer | Adobe Exchange).   So I wanted to know if anyone can help me or knows a solution for this? It would save us a lot of time, because we have to sort the clips manually for each video.   Thank you very much.

A friend of mine uses Davinci and we were doing some editing on my PC which uses Premier Pro 2020. He commented on the fact the timeline does not show the individual frames of a video. (see attachments) So, is there a way to show frames in Prem Pro?

I am encountering a persistent issue with importing MKV files into Adobe Premiere Pro and Media Encoder. Previously, I was able to import and edit MKV files without any problems. However, after reinstalling my operating system (Windows 11 Pro) and the latest versions of Adobe Premiere Pro and Media Encoder, I can no longer import MKV files. Whenever I attempt to import an MKV file, I receive the following error:"The file has an unsupported compression type." Here are some additional details: All my MKV files were working fine before the OS reinstallation. I have already tried updating all my drivers, including GPU drivers, and ensured my system is up to date. The issue persists across all Adobe applications, but I can import and work with the same MKV files in other software, such as DaVinci Resolve. Hi, It has been over a year that I have this issue, almost every time I work on premiere pro, my PC always crashes at least once, in a very singular and particular way. When I use premiere pro, there is actually no problem, but the problem occurs when I switch windows/programs. If I just happen to ALT + Tab or click on another program in the task bar, I have like 1 chance out of 15 to crash. When I crash, what happens is that everything except my mouse freezes for 2 seconds approximately, then the mouse freezes too. At that point, It can stay frozen for 15 seconds up to a minute, then my screens both turn to black. Then there are multiple outcomes that can happen after this, it depends on my luck, and those outcomes are: - My PC entirely crashes, and I lose all my unsaved data,- My PC unfreezes with one screen inactive that becomes disconnected from the PC, I don't lose my unsaved data, but I can't use Premiere Pro to see the video preview so I am forced to restart the progra

Hello, as anyone figured out how to stop the program panel from zooming while using a middle mouse when scrollling backwards or forwards in the timeline. The only work around that I have found is to place the cursor over the blue hours/mins/sec while using the middle mouse which is extremely time consuming. If I use the middle mouse anywhere else the video zooms in and out. thanks 

I've been pulling my hair out trying to figure out why I'm getting dropped frames from my sequence. I wanted a legit machine for my home. I picked up a M4 Mac Mini Pro. Installed premiere and I'm getting hundreds of dropped frames on playback. Footage was shot on an Arri 35 camera, Anamorphic, ProRes 4444, 23.98fps. So the video files are intense but my main machine, Mac Pro M2 Ultra and also my mobile machine, M1 Max laptop, both handle this sequence easily no dropped frames. BUT on my M4 Mac Mini Pro it drops frames like crazy. I run the sequence and media off an SSD. I thought it might be my SSD but no, I tested on my other machines and they performed fine, no dropped frames. I even went out and bought an M2 Max Mac Studio thinking it would solve but even that machine drops frames, less than the M4 Pro but still. What is happening?! Apple nerds said the memory bandwidth could be the issue on the M4 Pro? Thats one of the reasons I picked up the Mac Studio M2 Max.

I'm pulling my hair out (and I already don't have enough of it) trying to get time remapping speed keyframes to work. I think it's a bug rather than me. See screenshot - the 100.00% isn't in blue and can't be changed on Effect Controls. Instead I have to change it down in the sequence window. First clip, fine, no problem. Second clip I'll pop a time keyframe on there but it doesn't appear on the timeline white line (with the two halves that can be pulled apart to create a gradient) like on the previous clip, and so I can't edit the gradient to ease in/out - and if I drag up/down that white line, it just changes the opacity - goodness knows why! (I haven't added any kind of opacity effects or keyframe to the clip as you can see from screenshot) Anyone with any clue what's going on, would much appreciate it - it seems to have become impossible to speak with an Adobe employee  in over 10yrs. 

I have an Insta360 X5 that can produce a 360 degree jpg, which can be viewed on a Meta Quest 3 (MQ3). I'm using the VR Rotate Sphere to produce a 360 video of moving the POV to make an interesting video. The problem is that the resulting video is very jittery and jumpy. I have tried various Export quality settings (ending with the highest). "Frame Blending" did not help either.I tried changing the Export frame rate, (29.97, 30, 59.94, 60, 120). 60 seems better, but still jittery and jerky. 120 was actually worse. Any advice on how to get a smoother looking output video?

A lot of my media has gone offline, because premiere is now (for some unknown reason) expecting my footage to have lower case file extensions.  I have never touched the file extensions, or the source media at all. Not moved it, not switched drives, not changed the name of the drive (heck, not even unplugged the drive!). This is a production, and there is another editor, but the same goes for them on their end. Why would it do this? I now have to relink a bunch of clips one by one. This just started today after months of work. Not sure if this is a bug or not.  It's not even for all clips, just some.  

So the Mosaic effect can't be pasted into the Source tab (is that what it is called? had a hard time googling, especially distinguishing it from the "Source Monitor") in Effect Controls panel, but Gaussian Blur can?Why?Are some effects paste-able but some are not?The panel allows me to copy it from the master clip tab (again, is this the proper name?) but then doesn't allow me to paste it into the Source tab?Any insight is appreciated. Screenshots below.   

We have a team of 6 editors, 4 are editing on PC's and 2 on Mac's. Premiere Pro is failing to open a number of projects on our 4 PC's. It gets stuck loading at anywhere between 69-75% before freezing. Occasionally Premiere Pro also crashes and we have to use Task Manager to end the process. Interestingly our Mac user's are not having this problem at all and are successfully opening the projects we're having problems with. The projects are all semi recent projects (late part of 2022 / early 2023) and the problem only started happening 2 days ago, before that we were having no issues whatsoever with any of the projects.  The only thing that changed during this period was that we upgraded the RAM in our QNAP NAS server from 8gb to 32gb, and we've determined that this can't possibly be whats caused the issue. Question to understand better how Premiere works on this.When you enhance an audio clip (Essential Sound > Enhance Speech > Mix Amount), the audio clip gets a tag "(Enhanced)". Obviously, this is not a new asset, but I am wondering where this data gets stored, and is there a way to locate the exact file?

The green line issue has been present for months and is a major major bug. Hi! I suck with computers and I need help!I've been using Premiere Pro for a few years now and I've recently started to use Proxies to help smooth out the editing process. It has been going well but recently I've started to get an issue that keeps coming back. I try to make proxies of my videos and Media Encoder starts but never finishes it. Today it stopped after a few seconds. I paused in the queue, started it again to see if it would restart but it didn't. I then stop it and remove it from my queue.Here is my real issue: Not making Proxy is not a big deal but the problem is that this issue affects Premiere Pro somehow. let me explain.I try to close media encoder. It freezes. After a while, I force it to close. Then, the next time I open a project (ANY project, not just the one I tried to make proxies with) my render line turns red even though I already have proxies made for that project and my render line was yellow just before!!! In PP 25.5.0 (Build 13) on a Macbook Pro M1 Ventura 13.5, I am putting 60fps footage (interpretted footage as 29.97) onto a 29.97 Timeline. This results in the Video and Audio playing back (on the timeline) at half speed ie. slow-motion effect. This is what I want (both audio and video to play at half speed). However, when I export the clip, the final video plays half speed (as desired) but the audio is now heard at regular speed. I had adobe tech support take remote control of my Mac yesterday for an hour to try to fix/explain this and they couldn't figure it out.   I later learned if I made a new Project file and tried the same thing, the Export would correctly give me what I see/hear on the timeline.   So I guess this is a random bug?
