I need help restoring comments (4 days of work) that disappeared in the Acrobat web app. I added many comments only in the web browser (Acrobat online storage). I made sure it was auto-saved.In the file list it shows Last modified: Aug 14, 5:18 AM (JST), but the file’s Properties show Last modified: Aug 10 (KST).<file list><file properties>Now all of my comments made after August 10 are gone. I didn’t intentionally revert or delete anything.I tried to look for version history but the file does not show Version History or View Details. This is the document I NEED to submit early next week and this happens...please can anyone help how I can restore the comments made until yesterday? 

Hello! We publish PDFs (initially converted from either PowerPoint or Word) which have few font variations, but many images, hyperlinks, and bookmarks. Pre-compression, the space usage audit shows about 25% goes to images, 33% to content streams, and 33% to structure info. When we use our desktop Acrobat to compress (either with Optimizer or Reduce File Size), regardless of how we tinker with settings used, we can never compress the files nearly as much as when we simply use the free Acrobat online PDF compressor with "max compression" settings. Discarding bookmarks, hyperlinks, and images are not an option.Is there any way to duplicate the level of PDF compression achieved with the online compressor on our desktop Acrobat? Does anyone know what settings are used by the online compressor? For security reasons, we'd prefer to do the compression on our machines rather than rely on the online compression tool.Many Thanks!

We have User #1, User #2, and User #3.  We have an Excel files that we all use to create purchase orders.  We .pdf the tabs of the Excel PO to Adobe Pro to print say 3 .pdf pages.  We then bring in a background of our PO form creating the final version of the PO.  Everything lines up perfectly for #1, and #2, but User #3 the alignment is way off - by inches by the time it gets to the bottom of the page.  We have checked everything we can think of - scaling, advanced settings - everything appears to be the same between users.  The excel file is the same.  It happens during the .pdf conversion from Excel to Acrobat.  What are we missing?

Our users on RDS are getting this error randomly throughout the day. The suggested fixes to ensure access to the %temp% dir have been tried, but Distiller should already have access to that location. We have upgraded Acrobat to the latest version and uninstalled Adobe Reader. The issue persists, and the error just randomly appears throughout the day for all users, whether doing something Adobe related or not. Curiously, it does not appear to be affecting the functionality of Acrobat or printing.Does anyone have any ideas on where to look next?

Hello all,After filling out form templates and saving them I always go into the optimization settings to compress the files so they take up way less space and can be attached to a gmail without the need for a google drive link or anything. The documents are flattened (term borrowed from photoshop as that is where my forms initially were), but it just removes the editability and makes the forms read only.  The past couple weeks I have noticed that after compressing the files, something changes though. Letters in words are removed and replaced with apostrophes or periods. I have only noticed the changes being made to text fields, but all my forms have been affected. I tried adjusting the settings in the advanced optimization dialog box, but nothing seems to be helping. In the mean time I have been saving the files as images, but I am curious if anyone else has seen this or if there was an update/setting that I am now missing. Hi Acrobat communityCan someone in the community please confirm if ADOBE intentionally removed "Remember Last state of the all tools pane when opening documents" in the 2025 version of Acrobat pro. ? if so, then how do we modify .pdf documents to stop them continuously opening with the left hand tools pane opening. this is very frustrating.  any feedback from the community is appreciated. regardsJA   

The other day Acrobat Pro DC turned on (by itself, unbeknownst to me) a setting in Edit, Preferences to "Restore last view settings when reopening documents."  After some frustration I found that option and turn it back off. All was fine, and that setting has remained turned off.Around noon today Acrobat began opening every single PDF in single-page layout, regardless of the file's initial view settings.  Other initial view settings, e.g., Navigation tab, Magnification, Open to Page, are reflected as set when PDFs are opened.Restarting program, rebooting computer haven't helped.Any idea why this is happening? Windows 7 Professional, Acrobat DC update version 17.009.2044.Thanks.

Is there a way to edit the entry list under "Fill & Sign"? Under Settings / Forms, I see the option to Edit Entry List for Auto-Complete. However, my Entry List under Auto-Complete does not show all the things that come up when I auto-fill a PDF. Please assist.

Using Acrobat 11 Pro for some years without problems.    Lenovo CarbonX1 laptop; updated to windows 10 some time ago.   Recently updated to the newest version of Win10  (Creators', I think).    Since then - coincidence or otherwise - I am unable to print to the AcrobatPDF printer driver (through Distiller, I presume) as I get the error message quoted  (Unable to create the temporary folder:  Error: 183 - cannot create a file when that file already exists).   Furthermore the system then largely hangs (keeps coming back to the same error) and the easiest thing seems to be to reboot.Zillions of things on Google about similar errors but nothing seems too similar to this situation.Anyone have any thoughts?

Since the update on Acrobat to Pro DC, I keep having to click on Revert to Image, which would be fine but sometimes to revert to image, it undoes the changes I may have recently changed. The only workaround I found was to make changes on the picture (in Photoshop) then save the PDF, close it and reopen to make additional changes. I cannot stress this enough, I NEED the fonts to stay outlined so I don't get any errors when transferring postscripts from PC to Mac. And I'm talking about files that are exported from other programs, not scanned.Anyone know how to disable the Convert to Text option?

I have a user having an issue where when they open a fillable form they can click on the first blank and be able to type something but when they click on the second box it won't select the box.  It puts the cursor above or below the box but there is no way to select the box.  They are using adobe reader. The weird part is that when I log in as my admin user on that computer I am able to use the form no problem.  I have tried uninstalling and I have ran the Adobe CC Cleaner and tried a fresh install again.

I subscribed to Acrobat Pro, but in creative cloud and on my locally downloaded app, I just have access to "Acrobat".  I am trying to add headers to pages in a PDF, following these instructions: https://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/using/add-headers-footers-pdfs.htmlBut on my "Edit" menu there is no "ADD CONTENT" as it says there should be in the above help file. Could someone please explain what I am not doing correctly? If if makes a different, I am on a Mac.

Hey, Im trying to request e-signitures but keep getting the error : E-signing services are temporarily unavailable. Please try again later. My device is connected to a network with ethernet, I've also tried on different devices that have never used adobe before, and i still get the error message,  all of them have a stable internet connection. There are no outages reported in the entire country, I've tried signing in and out again, re-installing all adobe services. Maybe something account related? My plan is for Acrobat Pro. Anyone got any other ideas or possible solutions to get E-singing working for me again?  Thanks in advance for any responses.

Bonjour, Depuis qu'Adobe développe l'IA, de nombreux Pop-up et rubans s'affichent à l'ouverture des documents ou en cliquant sur l'icône "recherche", de sorte qu'il faut parfois en fermer trois, puisqu'ils s'ajoutent aux onglets "pages" et cie. Est-ce qu'il y aurait une fonction pour les désactiver ? Je ne l'ai pas trouvée. Merci d'avance et bonne semaine!

Hello everyone! With the new Adobe Acrobat, I can no longer automatically publish or post comments. Now, every time I enter a new comment, be it a note or a text replacement, I have to either click publish or do ctrl + enter, otherwise I can't enter new comments. is there any workaround? I really publish a lot of comments in a short time, I do text editing. Thank you very much 

Until just this week, I was able to choose "Save As" and "Convert to pdf" while in an open email. The option to convert to pdf has disappeared from the list of save as options.   My IT dept says it's a setting in Adobe Acrobat Pro to allow the conversion.  I can't find anywhere in Adobe to make that setting.  Ideas?

I just uploaded a bunch of docx to convert them to pdf. I was not able to bulk download them - well. But now I am also not able to bulk delete them. Whenever I select all files, any more button is gone. How do I do this?  thanks

Hi all, I've searched this issue in this community and it seems to be a fonts issue that occurs. But I don't understand how it is in this case. Our CEO's assistant writes her document in Word. Then prints it as a PDF. She then inserts that PDF into another PDF she created. When reviewing the PDF, some text of the inserted PDF is rendered as blocks and unreadable. The weird thing is, it only shows like that on her PC. Everyone else who reads it doesn't have the same issue. If it were a font issue, surely it would show on other users Acrobat? She's not using any odd fonts. Just the Microsoft standard fonts. And why should it show on hers when she has all the fonts she using installed on her laptop? Has anyone seen this before? Should I reinstall Acrobat? Thanks!

How can I insert text boxes into a PDF so others can fill it in when it is sent to them?

I have paid subscriptions to Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator.  So I am signed into Adobe on my device. However, when I open the free version of Adobe Acrobat on my device, just to view a PDF.  I am forced to SIGN OUT of everything, just to view a PDF.  This does not make sense?  No I do not want a free trial turning into a paid subscription of Adobe Acrobat just to view PDFs. Is there a workaround for this?

Suddenly my menues have move around and also been replaced by a more cuddly/soft/childlish app feel - feels really inefficient, at least for me.Is this due to a new release? If so, is there any way to manually change it so it looks mor like it used to (I want the pages on the left, additional menu parts on the right and more text menues on top)?If it is due to something else - how do I change it back to normal?

I have a pdf that has layers. I want to only have one of the layers visible then save so that the print shop can print in large format. When I save with only selected layer visible, the file still has all the layers showing. How do I fix this?

Without having ordered any product, an amount of €108.84 has been withdrawn from my bank account. Adobe is in fact taking extra money from anyone’s account whenever it can.?  Adobe In 4 months got 181.42 € from my account .

Why am I paying a yearly fee to drive myself crazy trying to edit a document that should take minutes. Every thing I click on causes an not responding error. It has taken me 30 minutes to add 1 text box with 10 letter in it. Very frustrated. Tried checking for updates, fix installation options. No help at all. Anyone have an answer to this issue.
