Does a feature exist to put interactive “spoiler” fields into a PDF document? By that I mean that while preparing a PDF document you put a black box over some text, save the file, and that then later any reader of the PDF can click on the black box to instantly reveal again the text underneath?
I need to crop a group of PDF files. The crop often (not always) does not match the drawn rectangle but is offset to the left. I’m using acrobat 26.001.21431.
I click on hyperlinks inside the pdf but Microsoft edge opens it instead of my defult browser Chrome.I already sat chrome as the defult opener for HTTP and HTTPS.
I'm looking to mail merge into a fillable PDF form with addresses in an Excel file. I had Acrobat 9 but was advised this functionality was only available in newer versions of Acrobat so upgraded to Acrobat Pro 2017. However, still cannot find any options to perform a PDF mail merge. Is this possible?
I’m trying to follow these instructions: However, when I open the form in step one, I don’t see a “button tool.” This is what I see: What am I missing? This is so frustrating. I suspect I’m missing something very simple, but I can’t figure it out. I have Adobe Acrobat Pro through a Creative Cloud license, if that matters.
My PDFs have this grid on and I have no idea why it started, but I would like to turn it off.
I have designed a 20 page A5 brochure. I would like to save out an A3 version & thought this would be a simple matter, but it seems it is not.I followed some instructions on the Adobe site which essentially sent me to the print dialog box, wherein I can type the desired percentage. Unfortunately, that only gives me the option to print at the larger size & not to save the file. (I am familiar with the dropdown menu where you choose a printer containing the option to “print” a postscript file but it’s not there in this instance.)Should that work? Am I missing something obvious or is there another way?

I am getting an error when I try to delete a page in a document: There was a problem reading this document (15). Is there a way to actually delete the document without having to re-do the whole thing all over again?

Why does the Accessibility Auto-Tag make tags that fail the Accessibility Checker? Every little thing is wrapped up in TH, TR, and TD tags unnecessarily. Workarounds?
Hi,I know this has been asked before and I’ve used those responses to get to this point but I’m still getting a syntax error. I have a list of physicians in a pull-down list. When a user selects one of them, I need their NPI and license number to populate the next two corresponding fields (“NPI” and “License,” respectively). I am attaching this on the “Validate” tab for the “Physician” field referenced above and I have the options set to “Commit selected value immediately.” The error when I try to save the script is “SyntaxError: syntax error 12: at line 13.” This is the script I’m using (values changed to generic ones):var NPI = this.getField("NPI");var License= this.getField("License");if(event.value == "Dr. A"){NPI.value = "123456";License.value = "Alicense";}else if(event.value == "Dr. B"){NPI.value = "654321";License.value = "Blicense";}else if(event.value=== "Dr. C")NPI.value = "7891011";License.value = "Clicense";}else{NPI.value = "";License.value = "";} Thanks for the assis
How do I get back the traditional Acrobat Pro app [version 2025.001.20756] on my desktop? I've uninstalled it because of continuing and recurrent bugs, and wanted to install the new app. Only, the Creative Cloud thing seems to be the only [cursing removed] app thing available now! For info I work on an iMac (24-incl, M1) with macOS Monterey v 12.7.6 My subscription to Adobe Acrobat Pro ends in May 2026 and will definitely not be renewed. This system has become cumbersome and a [cursing removed] nightmare to use. I'll use it until the end of my subscritpion though... paid enough for it. Pity, I've never had any problems until this year. Not being technical at all, I don't know why these problems. All I know is that it is becoming to disruptive in my work (I write a lot). I don't want a creativity app... I want something practical and that works. If someone can help me get the app back on my desktop, that would be much appreciated. In advance, thanks. C
Hi GuysI have a Surface Pro 4 (Win10) with Acrobat DC v21.0 running. I also have Acrobat Reader v2001.001.20145 in case I am signed out of CC on the road and want to read a pdf quickly (without going through the sign-in procedure). I have had this configuration for several years.I have started to get sporadic warnings of multiple instances of Acrobat Distiller running over the last couple of months. Below is an image. The Control Panel verifies only DC and Reader are running. Has anyone seen this before and can anyone advise how I can troubleshoot to stop this? Any help would be welcome.Regards,Graham
I am running Adobe Acrobat 64-bit, version 26.001.21431 on Windows, and Acrobat crashes every time I open a PDF, go to Prepare Form, click on a field, and attempt to open Properties to rename it. The program freezes briefly and then closes completely.I have already tried the following:- Updated to the latest version (currently showing "No updates available")- Repaired the installation via Help > Repair Installation- Uninstalled and reinstalled using the Adobe Cleaner Tool- Deleted my original PDFs, re-exported them fresh from a PowerPoint file, and tested again -- same crash- Tested with a PDF created and sent by a coworker on a different machine -- same crash- Updated security preferences as recommended in various support threadsThis happens with every PDF I have tested, including brand-new files I did not create myself, so it does not appear to be a document-specific issue.I am aware this crash was reported and supposedly resolved in build 25.001.20937, but the issue is clearly pe

I have ١٢٣٤٥٦٧٨٩٠ appearing instead, this is only happening in abode and started today. It does seem to affecting the letters just the numbers. Does anyone know how to fix this? All the best Charles [moderator corrected subject for clarity]
I'm working with Adobe Acrobat Pro DC. When editing documents, the default characters for numbers always give me Arabic numerals despite my English text. Even if I cut and paste standard English numerals, the result is having them converted into Arabic numerals. Hopefully there is a quick fix.Regards,Will
Hi, I am running Acrobat Pro (continuous release - version 2023.008.20470) on Mac OSX 15.7.5. Online search results point to a Preflight profile called 'list of fonts' located within PDF Analysis section in the Preflight pane, however I cannot see or find this profile, even with searching in the preflight window. Does anyone know if it is there, how to locate it, or if not how to create a profile that simply lists fonts in a PDF that i can export to a text file for font audit purposes.Online searches state the ‘List of Fonts’ is a pre built profile that lists the fonts used in a predefined format Font name (including subset prefixes like AAAAAA+) Font type (Type 1, TrueType, OpenType, CID, etc.) Whether the font is embedded / subsetI cannot find the list of font preflight does anyone know where it is or how to recreate the same preflight from the custom checks thanksNoel
I will scroll to the far upper left corner, and zoom in one or two clicks, then BAM I'm back at the center of the image. Makes everything take 3x as long.
Acrobat is without a doubt the worst software I have ever used. It crashes literally nonstop, it’s super slow, like gouge your eyeballs out slow, it will randomly delete letters of text and bullet points when you go to save/export the file, its UI is just about as awful as it gets - think of every other standard you come to expect from a software, and it is different in acrobat, it really is a very unfamiliar program - and the compress feature is HOT SHIT. Acrobat’s idea of compressing a PDF to make the file smaller is simply to delete 80% of the elements in the document! Case closed! You get a white piece of paper with random boxes and that’s it. For instance, I made a 2 page document it was 48 MB, so I thought I’d compress it… Acrobat spit out a completely white document that was 45 MB. I literally laughed out loud. Adobe seriously needs to retcon this piece of shit and start over. It’s honestly embarrassing.
Adobe is too slow and takes long time to respond to any command, file size 3.22GB. Same issue is happening with different files. Thanks for help
