I saved a PDF file in Acrobat Pro (ver 2024.001.20643) to reduce file size and get a message that says it will not reduce the size of attachment.  I have no reason to believe it should have an attachment (it is a PDF created by saving a PowerPoint file to PDF). However, I cannot determine how to find an attachment in the PDF file, and instructions at adobe.com and in Acrobat are not helping me.

I have Abode pro.  Everything became slow recently and often get Out of Memory popups, especially while editing pdfs.

When will Acrobat have a global setting to permanently disable the bookmarks sidebar (also called the navigation pane) for all PDFs? its quite a pain in the rump to have the bookmarks open on every doc that has them causing a part of the page to shrink, and causing me to stop what I am doing and having to close it.GIVE US THE OPTION TO GLOBALLY TURN IT OFF, OK?????

Product: Acrobat PDFMaker 26 for Word / Distiller 26.0 (Windows)Bug: When the page size is changed from A4 to a custom trim (6×9 in) during PDF creation, PDFMaker updates the page MediaBox to the new size but leaves the TrimBox, BleedBox and ArtBox with the original A4-based coordinates. The resulting boxes extend outside the MediaBox (e.g. MediaBox [0 0 432 648] but TrimBox [0 206.583 432 829.197], whose top edge ≈ 292 mm exceeds the 228.6 mm page). Downstream validators like the POD platform “Streetlib” that read the TrimBox (e.g. StreetLib) then reject the file: "height should be 229.0 mm but is 297 mm". Expected: TrimBox/BleedBox/ArtBox should be recomputed to fit within the new MediaBox when the page format is changed.

Hi,We have a Business Adobe License for Adobe Creative Cloud. I can see in the apps included in my subscription that I am supposed to have access to Acrobat Pro, but it’s impossible to download it from the Adobe CC desktop app, or even online. It says that I need to have a subscription, but I do have one and Adobe says that I have one included in my subscription…How can I solve this? Thank you so much.

Apart from earning shitloads of money from their clients, applications and services have degraded for many years. even on brand new high specs Macs, several Adobe apps just fail to work properly.Adobe Acrobat DC crashes upon launching, Lightroom doesn’t even start (except when I reinstall macOS and then it works for a few days). If you revert to the web version because of this bullshit, half of the features are not available.I also never had to customise anything on my Mac in the past; everything worked right off the bat. Prices were, lower, support was still crap. If someone can suggest decent replacement tools I am happy to throw Adobe in a deep hole and then piss on it. What an absolute joke this company has become.

It there a way to remove this from Acrobat?  

Hello,I am currently using Adobe Acrobat Pro Version 2026.001.21691. I’m trying to change the fill/background color of a text box (without having to use the “Add a Text Comment” tool).When I right‑click the text box, I do not get a properties option. Using the Edit Tool only lets me add a background color behind the text boxes, not inside the text box itself.I need to know:How to change the fill/background color for new text boxes I create. How to change the fill/background color for existing text boxes in a PDF I received (the document already has content and text boxes, but I cannot find any option to change their fill color)Is this feature located somewhere else in the 2026 interface, or has it been removed?Thank you. 

Dans un pdf, uniquement sur smartphone (sur pc c'est bon), je ne peux pas changer l'ordre des pages. La rotation fonctionne mais pas le glissement. Le problème est récent, la mise à jour est faite 

When I try to print a booklet, every other page prints upside down. I've set it up as f&b, short edge bind, legal/landscape, with booklet selected.

Update: Cant find a way to delete the post but after contacting my customer to let them know I have a support case open they were after getting in contact with adobe who fixed it after two calls. The first person tried a couple of things and it didnt work but the second technician was able to show her a new way to achieve the same result that doesnt cause the application to freeze. Its annoying because it takes twice the amount of work but at least it works. I’m quite stumped on where to go next with this issue. A customer of mine was having an issue where adobe frequently freezes after she creates a pdf from her scanner and immediately password protects the document.We first tried troubleshooting the application including clean reinstalls and potential windows issues where we deemed it best to reload her operating system as nothing we did worked so we cant confirm if it’s Adobe or Windows that is causing the crashing. After reloading the operating system we reinstalled her application

I have Creative Cloud Desktop and Acrobat Pro installed. Creative Cloud has a preference setting to disable Adobe Fonts. If this gets turned on, then it messes up Acrobat Pro such that I cannot use any Windows System installed fonts. The only way I can fixed this is to uninstall Acrobat and re-install and make sure Adobe Fonts is disabled. HORRENDOUS!!!The really nasty thing is that Adobe Creative Cloud Desktop keeps turning Adobe Fonts on again either when I use Photoshop or when it installs an upgrade,THIS IS TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE AND IS CRITICAL TO MY WORK.I need a setting in registry or group policy to lockdown that Adobe Fonts can never be turned on again, in other words a lock down for this setting, Adobe just does not seem to understand this stuff.  PLEASE FIX/PROVIDE!     

I am trying to deploy Adobe Reader via Intune package and Script. I got sent a link from Adobe for an exe that needed to extracted so as I can get the msi. When I have tested this Defender kicked off as the msi installs an old version which still has Flash. I tried installing via the exe. It installed 26.001.21662 but the latest version is 26.001.21691. Does anyone know where to get an uptodate Intune deployable package for Adobe Reader that won’t send Defender into melt down.

Acrobat becomes very slow when I open large PDF files (200+ pages). My computer has enough RAM and storage. Are there any settings I can change to improve the performance.I often work with documents that are more than 200 pages. When I try to view or scroll through them, Acrobat becomes slow and sometimes freezes. My system performance is fine, so I think this is related to Acrobat settings.Is there any recommended configuration (view settings, rendering, hardware acceleration, etc.) to make Acrobat run smoother with large PDF files.

An Acrobat Distiller error window pops up on Windows Startup with the message " Another instance of Distiller is busy starting up. This instance cannot continue". See image below. Several windows will popup. Any asistance on why this keeps happening is appreciated. Thanks!  

Hi, i have an account with Adobe Acrobat Standard. I can login online and use it that way but if i open Acrobat locally it shuts down after a few seconds. I have a feeling it's not letting me Sign In, as i can see the Sign In button at the top before it shuts down. I has been running this on my computer for some time before this started to happen. I did also have this problem previously (months ago) and an uninstall, clean and reinstall worked to fix it. This time around, I uninstalled Acrobat, ran the cleaner https://www.adobe.com/devnet-docs/acrobatetk/tools/Labs/cleaner.html restarted my PC, downloaded the 64 bit version of Acrobat Standard here https://helpx.adobe.com/au/acrobat/kb/acrobat-dc-downloads.html installed it and the identical problem still exists. Can someone please help?

Hi,I'm exporting from Figma as PDF and importing into Acrobat DC to add links.it's doing two things, 1 adding loads of vertical lines (please see attached screen shots when mounsing over / clicking to try to remove sections of the document turn white)  And 2 - making text edges a bit rough on export (perhaps rasterising?) I suspect it's related to point 1... Please can you advise to a solution?it's only happening when passing through acrobat so I guess it's a settings issue...many thanks,Aidan

Good afternoon, I would like to use my Digital Certificate in Barcelona (Spain).The Customer Support told me there was an issue with their Certificates in Catalonia and Adobe because there are in an extension not compatible with MAC.Please help.

I am working with Adobe Acrobat Studio and when I create a folder inside a Portfolio and add content or files I can't move them back to the root or to another folder. Is that by design or do I have to export them and re add them?

Hi!We are unable to make a PDF/A. We follow the instructions: Open your PDF, navigate to All Tools > Apply PDF Standards, and click Save As PDF/A.Then, there is a pop-up telling us some components are being installed. After a couple of minutes, we get another pop-up saying we need to install the components manually. When we click on install, it brings us on a page on Adobe that no longer seems to exist (404 error)I tried to reinstall it completely and search which component I need to install but couldn’t find anything. See the following to see what we already tried. Thank you in advance for your help! 

I literally create hundreds of AutoCAD documents weekly that must be sent as a PDF attachment.Adobe's decision to make sending a link in an Outlook email as opposed to an attachment, the default action, is an absolutely horrible idea.The extra clicks wreak havoc with my workflow. So much so that if I can't change the default back to an attachment, I will ditch Acrobat completely, all 7 licenses & switch to Nitro.I need to find a way to change the default, please help.

Hello, 2 issues! The share button is currently missing in the top right hand of the tool bar in adobe acrobat.I am trying to share a document for people to comment on but the share feature is not there. The only option I have is to share by email.When I askt the AI assistant it says to select the share icon in the top right hand corner which I remember used to be there but is now not.  Luckily the AI links the share button so I can do it that way, but it is really annoying not just having the big share button I used to have. Another issue is that when I share, it then says the document is not available to add comments on. The AI help says to change the share settings but there is no where to change this!
