Missing Check for updates option in adobe. Not seeing updater option in adobe preferences. I am using MAC. Check through creative cloud and it says adobe is up to date.

I use Acrobat to just read documents, I would like to have a simple UI without the tools, pop-ups, AI analysis tools, the Tool bar, the top bar and ONLY show the PDF or Text file. I don’t need the all this UI bloat. I just need to READ A DOCUMENT. can we just do this by default please?

We have been creating and sending adobe documents for signature on our accounting system but when they come back signed and we open them it is saying Helvetica and Ariel fonts cannot be found.  Once opened the documents are appearing blank.  How do we fix this? Thanks  

Ich möchte eine PDF-Datei mit Kommentaren so ausdrucken, dass auf der linken Seite des Ausdruckes die PDF-Seite abgebildet ist und rechts die Kommentare aufgelistet sind. Aktuell bekomme ich das nur so hin, dass die Kommentare auf einer separaten Seite (siehe Screenshot) aufgelistet sind. In Word gibt es eine ähnliche Funktion (siehe Screenshot). Vor einigen Jahren habe ich eine Tastenkombination dafür gekannt, diese habe ich leider vergessen… Wer hat eine Idee? 

Hello, I just noticed that the PDF displays the drop shadow as a flat rectangle in Acrobat.Compared to other previews (Apple or Foxit PDF Reader), this currently only seems to occur in Acrobat.Does this have anything to do with the Adobe PDF Library which is used in Acrobat for rendering? The file was reduced to the objects causing the problem.According to the document info, the original file was previously created in InDesign.

Im sure this has been asked before but I cant find a recent answer. I have run a signed-in adobe acrobat previously on my Home PC, but now the licence is installed on my work PC and laptop. Now I cant even read a pdf on my Home PC withough it trying to sign me in. Is there a way around this?ORIs signing in with my paid subscription the worst thing I could have done on my home PC and I am now being punished for having a paid subscription? Regards   

Hello, I'm getting an error "Cannot extract the embedded font ...." and some caracters are not displayed (The file reads perfectly on edge, firefox, pdf24, evince and okular. The font is Raleway. The same error occurs with Montserrat and Arimo.It happens only with italic or italic-bold sections of the file. Example file attached.

I posted this under the Adobe Sign forum but have not received any replies from Adobe in weeks, so trying here as well. Hello, I have searched around looking for an answer to this issue and have in fact tried a few options on my own but am finding I need an official answer from Adobe. We have been trying to migrate to using Sign in our now-remote environement and it has been helpful in many ways....except when it comes to contracts. When a contract is being reviewed, there are often many supporting documents that are required...Excel files, other PDFs, Word documents, jpegs, and so on. I have tried text tags with prefill options and I have tried the 'add files' option when setting up for signature, but all that does is convert the files to PDFs and add them to the contract document to be signed. I find it hard to believe that Adobe would offer up Sign, a system with workflow for signatures for major contracts, but not offer something within that system for handling suppo

I have exhausted all trouble shooting options I can find. I the past I have been able to password protect a pdf to allow LO RES PRINTING and no copying. This is/was essential for my workflow as a graphic designer.Now, when I password protect. Select the options and save. The PDF will not print.It throws a warning and prints blank pages.HELP I  need a solution fast. 

Wher do I find official support resources ? Even this post is difficult to do.

Did a Window 11 update and restart end of work Friday. Came back today (Monday) and opened all the stuff I need to do my job- Illustrator, Framemaker, loaded CAD models (which are complex and take a significant amount of time), spreadsheets, explorer windows, etc. It's a process.  Then I get a notification that Acrobat has updated and update will be applied AFTER a restart. How handy that I JUST DID THAT! Go about my business and make a bunch of pages for a parts document in Illustrator, make the Framemaker document, then go to export a pdf copy as usual... and the process fails. Restart Framemaker and try again. Process fails. Then I get a notification that I can't use Acrobat unless I restart. Great. I have ALL of the stuff loaded that I need to do my job for the day. I could even leave it all week and be good, but now I have to restart and do it all again because Acrobat requires a system restart.  This is a HUGE waste of time. Why does this program req

Received a PDF from a client and when I open the thumbnail view I get a CIDFont+F1 contains bad/widths error. When I print it looks terrible. If I select those pages with the issue and export extract those out the exported extracted looks perfect and has no errors. This is all done on the same PC. Any suggestions on how to stop getting the CIDFont error or an explanation as to why the export extracting may have worked?[moderator changed the wordings as the OP made an edit mistake. I have multiple PDFs created in Indesign where charts / images have been placed within the text thread and with relevant alt text applied. This was never a problem until recently...Acrobat now skips the figures and fails to read out aloud the alt text, even with PDFs created previously which had worked fine in older versions of Acrobat, however I haven’t pinpointed exactly when this started.The screenshot of the tags panel shows the <Figure> tag contained within a <P> tag. My understanding is this is due to the figure having been inserted into the text thread within indesign. Once the <Figure> is placed outside the <P> it works fine in Acrobat, but as I said, this was never an issue. I have 100s of archived PDFs which worked fine previously so would like to find a solution which didn’t require this additional step for every figure.Hopefully you can help!

I had major problems installing Windows 11 on my PCs and had to reinitialize 2 PCs. Apparently my Acrobat XI Pro considered they were new PCs, so refused my activations. I’m not sure also former PCs were properly deactivated. How can I ask somebody from Acrobat to deactivate all present and former PCs so I can activate the two I presently use?

My client pdfs have both auto-generated image descriptions and Comment bubbles.  When I click a comment bubble, I see the comment popup for ONE SECOND before being replaced with the gray image description popup.I am aware that I can open the Comments pane and read the comments there.  Clicking comments in the comment pane even goes to the page, and wiggles that bubble.  This is helpful, but reverse of how a page is typically read.How do I disable image description popups? How do I enforce Comment bubbles as priority? The closest I’ve come to solving this myself is Preferences > Commenting > Pop-Up Open Behavior. Uncheck “Hide comment pop-ups when Comments List is open” Check “Automatically open pop-ups on mouse rolloverThat gives me a different style comment popup on hover that persists behind the image description popup.Clicking the comment bubble causes the different style comment popup to persist, and moving my mouse away from the image hides the image description. To be clear

I make business cards from Publisher. It has the ability to make multiple copies per sheet: The file is 3.5x2 inches with one business card. When printing, I select “multiple copies per sheet” and “10 copies.” It looks like this: Can Acrobat find make 10 copies on a sheet from one 3.5x2 inch file like Publisher? 

I’m running into an issue since last week with Adobe Sign and could use some help. When trying to send a document for signature, I receive the following system error:“The agreement has been cancelled due to problems with document processing.”I’m not sure what specifically is causing this. The file appears to be formatted correctly, and I’ve tried re-uploading it, renaming it, and even creating a new agreement, but the error persists.Has anyone experienced this before?What steps can I take to troubleshoot or prevent this error?Any guidance would be greatly appreciated!

Hi everyone,I’d like to ask where I can seriously report a website where cracked versions of Adobe Acrobat are being sold, and people are buying them without realizing how risky this is. The site hosts sellers who offer these versions, and no action seems to be taken against them.Is there a specific department at Adobe where reports are taken seriously and real action is taken? I previously submitted a report through the automated reporting link, but nothing changed—on the contrary, the number of sellers and their sales keeps increasing

Hi Team, I tried print as pdf using adobe PDF saving as .log extension. I could not convert any file into pdf.Please let me know what is an issue.

Is it possible to change the zoom level on all existing bookmarks in a document at once so that I do one thing and now all bookmarks will be set to inherit zoom?  If so, please describe how I can do so.  I use Adobe Acrobat 2020 at home and whatever version of Acrobat comes with the subscription at work.  Thanks for your help.  If this feature exist, it would save me a great deal of time.  Changing each bookmark by hand to inherit zoom is time-consuming.

Is there an Adobe program or app that can do this with AI-assistance in just a few steps?
