Hi,My adobe keeps crashing today when adding multiple pages to a single pdf.. Approx 70 pages in this case. So i have to force close acrobat pro.  At the same time the working pdf file vanishes.  I have tried re-installing adobe acrobat pro. This is the first time i have seen this issue.  Don’t have time to spend on troubleshooting atm and adobe chat not available apparently 9:30 am QLD is outside of their 9-5 support hours…… Arrrrr    

File security permissions inheritance (NTFS ACL) is broken when Acrobat overwrites files with Protected Mode enabled.When Acrobat overwrites a file in Protected Mode, the resulting PDF inherits the ACL of the sandbox temp file (%LocalAppData%\Temp\acrobat_sbx\).Hence the overwritten file becomes accessible only to the account that performed the overwrite operation.Other users on the network who access the shared folder using different credentials (e.g., a shared user account) can no longer see or open the file.Process:1. Acrobat opens the PDF inside its sandbox (Protected Mode).2. When overwriting an existing file, it writes a temporary copy to:   %LocalAppData%\Temp\acrobat_sbx\3. That folder inherits the restrictive ACLs of the root TEMP directory (typically SYSTEM/Admins only).4. Acrobat then replaces the original file using its internal sandbox I/O.   This replace operation preserves the sandbox ACL instead of reapplying the shared folder’s inherited permissions.5. For what is worth, I’ve been through the Enterprise support process add another voice to the request for long file name support (over 255 characters) in Acrobat Pro - The Adobe engineering team is now working on bug # ADC-4552912.We were also able to reproduce this issue internally and we will share all info related to this bug on priority including the ETA.This support case does not require further troubleshooting. Hence, we will now close this support ticket as the bug investigation continues.We will notify you of the updates, and if you want to track them, you may send an email to "ecs@adobe.com" or acrots@adobe.com with the bug number I will re-post here if i get any updates. 

I recently downloaded and purchased an Adobe Acrobat subscription for work, but so far I haven't been able to do anything because the file I'm working with is constantly being in a process of "sorting fonts." The file is 140 pages long, a PDF. It contains many images, tables, and elements, and the original text itself is in English, but I'm using DeepL Translator to translate it into Russian and then work with that. P.S I use Arrial font.Some of the translations aren't very good linguistically, which is why I need a convenient PDF editor. I've searched everywhere for information on my case, but I've seen practically no similar issues, only on the website with the Russian Adobe forum, but no one has responded there. I am unable to open any PDFs on my computer. I have uninstalled, reinstalled and it worked for a few minutes, then the open files disappeared. Now when I try to open a PDF, I get a small circle on my desktop. See the attached jpgs. I cannot move it or expand it. When I click on the circle  the icon on the task bar disappears, maybe it shuts down.? I have installed, reinstalled, repaired multiple times. Any assistance will be appreciated. 

So, we're using Shared Reviews for our PDFs to collect comments and it's working well. However, we've encountered a disturbing problem - how to handle sensitive documents? The problem is this:The link sent to reviewers is a public link (no AdobeID sign-in required). This means that anyone with the link can read the document. Not good.Password-protected PDFs can't be shared for review. This would have been the obvious workaround otherwise. So, does anyone know of another way to do this? It seems crazy to build a Document Cloud-based system that's only geared towards non-confidential documents. Or am I missing something? Thanks! PS Sharing directly from InDesign allows you to create private links but that features is so buggy it's unusable for us.

For at least two years I  have had an ocr button on the floating tool bar (looks like a little document with a folded over corner). On 2/17 it disappeared. I was able to put that icon back on the tool bar but now it requires an extra click to perform the operation which is simply to make the document text searchable. Please tell me how to get that “one click” function back. It literally will double my work to click twice and I see no reason for that change that benefits me. Other details:Acrobat Pro individual subscription through work (no longer says “Pro” or “DC” - apparently those qualifiers were removed for some unknown reason)Windows 11 (365) New UI (I hate the old one and will not be going back; don’t ask)Thanks.

Hi everyone,I’m currently working on a long-form editorial layout in Adobe InDesign where multiple stories flow across non-consecutive pages. I need to implement newspaper-style jump lines such as: “Continued on page X” “Continued from page Y” The main challenge is keeping everything accurate after text reflow and pagination changes. I’m looking for a solution that remains stable even after significant edits in large documents (100+ pages).I’m familiar with cross-references and text variables, but I’m unsure which method scales best in real production environments. Is there a reliable way to detect where a threaded story breaks across pages? Are cross-references stable enough for heavy editing workflows? Would a scripting approach (ExtendScript or UXP) be more robust long-term? I work in digital workflow and automation as well (currently building Funnelflex — https://funnelflex.com), so I’m especially interested in solutions that are systematic and scalable rather than manual fix

Hi everyone,I'm having an issue with fonts not properly converting from PowerPoint to PDF. While I am able to get the main font in the family to convert from one format to another, I can't seem to get the formatted variants of it to do so (like bold, italicized, condensed, etc.). It all just ends up converting into the same main version of the font with all the formatting gone.I've tried tinkering around with the "Embed fonts in the file" option in PowerPoint, and selecting the font to embed in the Adobe PDF Settings feature in Adobe Acrobat Pro DC. Neither has worked so far.Thanks in advance for your help working out this problem.

Hi, I was printing some stuff with adobe acrobat, as I do almost every day. Everything went smoothly, until I had to edit something within a PDF, tried to print it again, but Acrobat refuses to print to A3. I put everything right: in the printer settings it says A3, paper settings A3 etc. I even tried to set A3 at the adobe PDF printer & scanner settings, but to no avail. He wants to keep printing everything to 215,9 x 279,4 mm. I don't know how to change it, I feel like i've tried every setting but he keeps wanting it to be smaller size!! I really need to be able to print A3… is there an easy fix?

Hello Adobe Community, My team is currently developing a highly dynamic PDF in Acrobat Pro to replace a legacy XFA-based form that has been in production for approximately 10 years. Conceptually, the form is similar to a complex tax document: it contains numerous questions with varying response types (strings, integers, dates, etc.) and performs extensive cross-field validation and data integrity checks.Because XFA is deprecated, we are rebuilding the logic using Acrobat JavaScript. Core Requirements: The PDF must function fully offline (no web dependencies). All features must work in Adobe Acrobat Reader (not just Acrobat Pro).  Current Architecture:A typical page in the form contains: 20–30 user input fields (text, numeric, date/time, etc.) 100–200 button overlays For certain multi-select scenarios, users can either: Manually enter a numeric value into a field, or Click a corresponding attribute button that auto-populates the value (Not implemented) JavaScrip

I purchased Adobe Acrobat XI Pro several years ago.  My old computer DIED and there is no way for me to deactivate the application on this computer.  I was able to download my old Adobe Acrobat XI Pro with my serial number on my NEW computer, however, just days after doing this, I'm getting a message: "The serial number XXXXX is already in use by the maximum allowed computers.  You need to deactivate another computer within 15 days to use this product."  HOW DO I DO THIS?  I don't want to purchase another adobe product as I had no problems with the Acrobat XI Pro -- I didn't need any updates to that program.  I signed into my Adobe account and tried to deactivate my old computer but it is not even listed. If this is a way for Adobe to make me purchase another program...I'm not happy!      I   

I have signed up for a free trial of Adobe Acrobat Pro.I am trying to turn my PDFs into a fillable form that anyone with access can download and simply fill in text fields with their answers.However, it seems that there is no option under "tools" to prepare a form. I've looked up multiple tutorials, and all of them tell me to look under tools, then choose "Prepare Form". Yet that option or nothing similar even appears.The closest thing I have to creating a form is a web form, which is not what I want. Is anyone aware on how to find this option or if there is a new way to add fillable text to your PDF for others to fill out?

Help! There is no way for me to biew any files that are opwned anymore. There is no menu bar, no controls, only an arrow and a tiny sliver of a box that if I click it wants to close pdfs.pdfs say they are open but I can't view any of them. Clicking the dots opens the Customise toolbar window, but o access to any other options at all.See screenshot. Running a laptop, Lenovo, windows, all new & work fine for every other piece of software except adobe.

Our agendas are formatted as lists, which often span multiple pages. I've found that when exporting from Word to PDF, any list that spans multiple pages will be split into multiple <L> tags. This is non-compliant with accessibility standards. I'm looking for a way to get the whole list, regardless of how many pages it spans, to export inside of one <L> tag. I'm able to remediate the tag structure after the fact, but it adds a lot of seemingly unnecessary steps and I'm not typically the one generating these documents.

I have a 4 pager document that outlines a partnership proposition. I would like to convert this 4 pager into a professional presentation with a corporate feel. Is this something adobe express can do?

I have unclicked the "show comments pane when a PDF with comments is opened" every time I use acrobat. I always click ok afterward. I close the program, restart my computer, yet the box is checked again. What is the fix for this?

How to enable scrolling by default. I'm using Acrobat DC. Every time, when I open document I chose in view -> Page Display -> Enable scrolling. It works, untill I close Acrobat. When I open acrobat next time, in order to be able to scroll I should do this set up again. How to make this setup stick?

Hi, I 'd like to give a try to this Acrobat version. Where could I find the download link? I mean Pro edition.

We are trying to use the sign feature in adobe but what we are finding is that once we sign locally, when the file is sent to a higher level, they are not able to add their own signature flow to the document.  We thought of adding the entire flow at this level, however that will not work as their flow can change based on certain criteria and we may or may not know the correct routing.  Is there away we can have our signature routing for local and once completed, and the file goes up to a higher level, they can then add their routing for signatures as needed to complete?
