Since updating to Adobe Acrobat Reader 2025.001.20630 (Windows 10, 64-bit), we have noticed a change in the behavior of the “Recent Files” list:Saved PDF files only appear in the list after they have been opened at least once in Acrobat.In previous versions, certain saved PDFs (e.g., from attachments or portfolios) seemed to appear immediately in the list, even without explicitly opening them.We are aware that email attachments from temporary folders have already been excluded for a long time – that is not new to us.Questions to Adobe:Is this behavior a deliberate change introduced in version 2025.001.20630?Or is it a bug/side effect of the update?If intentional, is there any way to configure this behavior (e.g., via settings, registry, or preferences)?Thank you in advance for clarifying.System environment:Windows 10 Pro (22H2)Adobe Acrobat Reader Version 2025.001.20630 (Continuous Track, 64-bit)

I have a user who has is opening up a PDF document from our Companies intranet website on google chrome.  periodically she gets an Access Denied message when using CTRL-F to do a searchshe does have an account for Adobe Standard and she is logged in to her account one day she can search the document fine without issues another day, the same document, she has to manually scroll through it because she gets access denied I have asked her check and see if she has the same issue on Edge but it might be a couple days  any idea why she would this would be happening?

I have the same issue - was there ever a solution to this?

Hello there,  I'm trying to install Acrobat Pro DC but when I launch the installer it fails with the following diagnostic " not enough storage is available to process this command". The installation is on Windows 10 (64bit)  platformThanks in advanceagata 

I have perpetual licenses of Acrobat Standard 2020, but when I completed the installation of software, I could not Sign in my Account to conplete the activation.The code was generated and sent to my email when I inputed into the software, it was loading and requested me to sign in again without any error notification. I retried many times but same issue.Please check and advise me this situation. Thank you.

When manualy tagging the reading order in "adobe acrobat continuous release, version 2025.001.20693 64 bit", the number of the selection will jump to a wrong place in the reading order. For example, the text I am selecting should be number 35th in the reading order but acrobat makes it 7th in the reading order. Then when I try to move it to the correct placement it either will do nothing, or it will rearrange other elements in the reading order to the wrong place. Additionally, when I use the autotag Document feature it will always put things out of order and will not allow me to re-arrange the elements as stated above. Is there a fix for this or is this how it works? I am working on state documents that need to meet accessibility standards per governemnt guidlines for thousands of documents, and this is completely unacceptable from the company that makes the gold standard for design software. I have tried every work around that I can find online or that I have seen in the co

Hello! I am creating a PDF in Adobe Acrobat Pro and want to be able to insert a signature field that you must use a certificate to sign. The "digital signature field" allows candidates to draw a signature in, which we can't allow. I've seen a ton of government forms that do this (attached an example of a publically available government form that does this), but I haven't been able to recreate it myself. I also know that under the Certificates tool you can insert a certificate signature somewhere on the PDF, but I would like it to be mandated as well as the default setting when someone clicks on the signature box. Quick note, in order for the example I uploaded to reflect the intended behavior, you have to view it in Adobe, not a browser!

I used acrobats free trial to edit a document once right after getting the free trial i cancelled it and it took me to the home page so why didd i get charged for a month of acrobat i want my damn money back

Hello  This symbol here has disappeared from my Acrobat and I don't know how to make it visible again. Well, actually I do, I have to log out - which confuses me even more... When I am logged out, it re-appears, but when I click on it, it tells me I have to buy a paid version. But I already have a Pro version through my job. So everything is very confusing. Where has this symbol gone and why does it not work (anymore) with Pro? Thank you

I seek a comprehensive list of all Acrobat functions that result in automatically resizing the window, or automatically adjusting the zoom level, of a newly opened document.  I do not want window size or initial zoom level to ever change, except when I make manual adjustments.  The automatic functions are a major hindrance and time-waster. To the extent some of these functions might be settable in multiple different locations so that I have to go make sure the setting is set properly in each of the separate locations, I would also appreciate a listing of such duplicative interface toggles. Cheers!

Hello,I am experiencing an issue with Adobe Acrobat Pro on Windows. Whenever I open a PDF and try to select text (for highlighting or copying), the page view suddenly rotates or flips automatically. This makes it very difficult to read and edit the document.I have already tried changing the page display settings and disabling auto-rotate options, but the problem still continues.Has anyone else experienced this issue? Is there a permanent fix or a setting I need to adjust?Thank you in advance for your help.

Is there a way to universally turn off all pop ups, upsell attempts, and feature suggestions from Acrobat?  I get NONSTOP ads, feature promotions, and pop ups.  This program is almost unusable with all these popups, it's making it way harder for me to do my job.  I tried changing the preference for "show me messages when I launch Adobe Acrobat" but (1) that didn't work and (2) even if it did, that doesn't address the nonstop barrage of pop ups I incur what feels like every single time I even hover my cursor over this app.  

Is there really no way to export or extract highlighted annotations of a PDF file as a simple text file? I find it absolutely ridiculous that there is no simple way to do this despite PDFs being around for decades! I am using Acrobat Pro and still no easy way to do this.

Call outs to Subrato (Adobe) @SubratoNamata and Franz @Frans v.d. Geest...   Affects Windows Office users who use Adobe Acrobat PDF Maker (the Acrobat ribbon) to export PDFs from MS Office apps. Definitely affects US English versions, and may affect other language versions.   With the recent Acrobat update on either Sept. 12 or Oct. 17, 2023 (Acrobat ver. 23.006.xxxxx with PDF Maker 23 and Library 23.6.136), figures anchored in the Word.docx file do not end up in the correct location in the PDF's tag tree.   <Figure> tags are scattered randomly throughout the PDF's Tag Tree, sometimes several pages AFTER their anchor point in the Word.docx. Some <Figure> tags do get placed correctly in the Tag Tree, but the majority don't. (See the 3rd photo in the attached test PDF.)   This is a very OLD bug that has just resurfaced to haunt us again. It was common in all PDFs exported from Word up until about 2015 or so. I don't have a clue why this  *&^%$#@!&

I need help with a JavaScript to add 3 fields then subtract the 4th field to get a total in the 5th field.If someone could please take a look at the script in the field GRANDTOTAL, I would be so appreciative. 

Windows 11 Home O.S. Build 26100.6584 Acrobate Standard User Not sure if there was an update but i have had to delete the Adobe Acrobat and redownload becasue I coud not sign in. I was able to sign in however everytime a tried to rotate pages in the thumbnail window another window pops up telling me I have to upgrade to pro. The rotate function is a feature for standard users. So i signed out and signed BACK in and now the upgrade window does not pop up. Now however when I try to rotate a group of pages in the thumbnail window it opens a browser window in chrome. I have uncheck "show inline storage when opening files" "show online storage when saving files", in the prefrences in the windows application  and deleted the Adobe chrome extension and even gone so far as to block pop-ups. None of that works. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. 

I am working on locking down a registration form. There are a couple sections that have multiple checkboxes but ONLY one can be marked. We won't even accept the form if there is more than one option marked. Most sections there are two boxes, check one but not the other. There is one section though that has 16 boxes, and yes only one can be marked.  Can I do that? Similarly I also need to do the same thing with two text fields, only one should be filled out. THANKS!

Hey,  I am looking for a way to send a password protected PDF for signature - that requires the signers to enter the password to see the document and sign. Currently, I can set a password on the doc but the signers can still see the entire document when signing. The only need to enter a password if the doc is downloaded and opened.  Is there a fix for this? Thank you!~Shelley

Hello,In Adobe Acrobat (any version after 6), when I sign a document, the background of my signature is transparent (it was created as a .gif). When I try to sign using Acrobat Reader DC (v2015.023.20070), though, that same transparent background turns White. How can I sign it so that the background remains transparent?Thank you.

I'm preparing a form but when I open the properties, I don't have the calculate tab. How can I get that added to my Adobe Pro?

This issue suddenly started happening for me a few months ago. In the Edit PDF section, I used to be able to select a grouping of text boxes* and slightly shift or move them on the page no problem. Now when I do that some or all of the the text dissapears. The bounding boxes are still there, but appear to be empty. The only way to keep the text in the boxes while moving them (or to recover the mising text) is to move them one by one.  I am using the old version of Adobe (preference). This problem persists in the Modern Acrobat as well. Again, this was never a problem for me until recently and it is massively increasing how long it takes to edit these documents.  *I am editing invoices that are originally downloaded as a Word document. They are edited as needed in Word and then saved as a PDF for further editing in Adobe. The way Adobe formats the files results in each line on the invoice, and each column within those lines, ibeingwithin itheir own text box/bounding

Hallo, wir haben folgende Herausforderung: Unsere selbst erstellten Formulare werden, wenn auf Windows 11 ausgefüllt und gesichert, im Acrobat Pro mit Inhalt angezeigt werden. Sobald das Dokument auf dem iPad ausgefüllt wird ist der Inhalt der Textfelder nur noch bei Acrobat Reader zu lesen, im Dateimanager nicht mehr.  Wird diese Datei dann nach Windows 11 synchronisiert oder per Mail versendet, ist der Inhalt der Formular-Textfelder nicht mehr im Acrobat Pro zu sehen, sondern nur noch im Browser.
