Questions

As of today, our team is not able to use the "Fill in form fields" button that is normally found in the toolbar. When clicking on Customize Toolbar is still shows that it is selected but there are no options to update it from the options. The Fill & Sign is also not working so we have no access to add to a form for comments or other text updates after the form has been filled out. I tried saving as  Save As Other > Reader Extended PDF > Enable More Tools (includes form fill-in & save) option and it did not make a difference. 

Hello! I've tried contacting a couple businesses about getting help with this but hitting dead ends. Currently, my lab has a requisition form for samples that has to be printed off, marked up, signed, and faxed back to our lab. In an effort to reduce paper and error, I would like to edit the PDF to make all lines either a check box or fillable text. Then, once all of the information is filled, signed, sent over, etc. I'd really like to be able to generate a barcode based off the data in the requisition form. Does anyone have experience with this that would be able to point me in the right direction? Thank you!

Hello - my Adobe Acrobat crashes every time I try to repeat a redaction across more than 50 pages. I am regularly rdacting very large files (2500+ pages) so this has been very problematic. Here is what I've done so far: made sure I had the latest version; uninstalled and reinstalled; ran the cleaner; read everyone else's posts about this. It appears this is a glitch but I'm hoping a solution has been created. Thank you.

I have just been FORCED to install the most updated Pro version of Adobe.  IT IS THE PITS. I am using version 2024.002.20759 Windows desktop version. How can i remove this ridiculous floating tool bar?  It's so frustrating and gets in the way of working with a document.  It's pure distraction and frustration and completely distracts you from getting your work done because you have to keep moving it. A few other things i'd like to see if can be mitigated:1.  Bookmarks panel back to the left hand side2. Tools panel back to the right hand side3.  display contrast - grey on grey is the least visually friendly and excludes people with low vision4.  stop the stupid pop up when you scroll over a picture or object in a PDF doc - why is this needed? This is just one hour of using this, i can only imagine what other annoying 'upgrades' are yet to be found. Any advice on how to fix these nonsensical features will be greatly appreciated! 

what is the difference between protect with a password and encrypt with password ?

This complaint goes back years and years ago, still this has not been fixed. When I try to apply a redaction the program freezes. I have tried all suggested "fixes" recommended here and none work. How is this still an issue when people have been complaining about it for literally years. 

When checking my Adobe cloud storage on my iPhone or PC, the majority of my files are missing.  How do I find them?

Monthly I have to bill using a XFA-based PDF created by Adobe LifeCycle. This month I think after Update 25.001.20623 but only tried with Version 25.001.20693 signing the document does not work anymore all other JavaScript functions still work like Date verification but not signing because the integrity cannot be validated.I tried an old Adobe Acrobat Reader classic version from 2020 there the form works but is super laggy.Do you know if there is a good workaround or how to contact the adobe support directly to fix this issue?    

My google research is leaving in a loop.  Everyone is asking how they change the font on form fields (in my case text fields and date fields) I know that you open Prepare Form, Right Click the field, Select Properties, Select Appearances You SHOULD then see the font size selection box where you can select AUTO, or a specific size I see font size but NO option. No selection. I can change the font. But not the font size.  As a result the text in my fields is too big to fit and leave out numbers.What is the solution?

I have an Adobe Acrobat DC Pro account as part of my creative cloud account; however when I open it, only basic Acrobat (not pro) functions appear. For example, editing (like watermarking) and flattening, and protecting are not available. Trying to click on editing for example, brings me to the website and then asks me to 'BUY" it. When I click through to buy it, I get the message "You already have this product". Anyone else ever seen this? Right now I have uninstalled it and am trying to reinstall but again, Adobe won't let me get the Pro version.

I have scanned many pages of a C19th journal.I then used Acrobat to OCR a section. But the quality is appalling and unreadable.I have tried 3 different file formats (PDF, JPG, PNG) to drag and drop below an image of the page (all less than 47MB) but they all produced the error message "Sorry, unable to complete the action you requested. "

Beim Benutzen von Acrobat pro Version 2024.003.20054 auf Windows 11 (neuste Version) friert Acrobat regelmäßig ein und es wir beim Acrobat Fenster "keine Rückmeldung" angezeigt.

Um ein lizensiertes Acrobat Pro 2017 auf einem neuen PC zu aktivieren sollte ich mich auf dem alten PC abmelden um das Produkt dort zu deaktivieren. Anschließend war eine Aktivierung nicht mehr möglich, weder auf dem neuen noch auf dem alten PC. Es öffnete sich ein Fenster: „Acrobat Licensing Application: Seriennummer. Die Höchstzahl von Computern, auf denen die Seriennummer ... verwendet werden darf, ist bereits erreicht. Sie müssen einen anderen Computer innerhalb von 29 Tagen deaktivieren, um dieses Produkt“ Es werden zwei Alternativen angezeigt: „1) Aktivierung erneut versuchen. Ich habe bereits einen meiner anderen Computer deaktiviert. 2) Geben Sie eine andere Seriennummer an.“Laut Adobe-Kundendienst sind die Server für das Produkt nicht mehr aktiv. Ich solle mich an die Adobe Community wenden. Gibt es eine Möglichkeit, mein Acrobat Pro 2017 erneut zu aktivieren?

any help would be appreciated.  I already tried turning off protected mode, but that didn't fix it.

Hello, Community! With the new release of the AI assistant feature,  I do not seem to have access to the feature on the dekstop version of Acrobat, considering I'm a creative cloud user. The feature however does appear on my laptop and on the web version (see video). I'm not sure if I'm missing a step in the activation process or if this is a known issue with a workaround. Here are the details:- I am using the latest version of Acrobat Desktop.- My operating system is windows 10 pro, and it's up to date.- I've checked the application settings, but there doesn't seem to be an option to enable the AI assistant.- I've also tried reinstalling Acrobat Desktop, but the issue persists.Has anyone else faced this problem? If so, how did you resolve it? Are there specific settings or updates required to enable the AI assistant feature on Acrobat Desktop? Any guidance or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance for your help and support! 

when I am trying to edit my document with numbers it is changing them to some Arabic number. how do I get this changed?

I'm using Windows 11, Acrobat version 2025.001.20474.I'm working on a comment, Acrobat freezes, crashes, then I reopen and the PDF is just gone.Where in the world did my PDF go?!No trace, nothing in the AppData folder.It was saved in the Documents folder, not a shared folder or network drive, etc. This is very concerning, how am I supposed to work on documents and not know if they will just disappear?!?!?!??!

Hello all I Hope you are Well. I have had to do a Clean Install of Windows 11 recently and as part of that I have Installed the Free Adobe Acrobat Reader. Unfortunately, I am getting Crashes of AdobeCollabSync.exe which also seems to bring down Explorer.exe. I have Disabled Sync within the Acrobat Reader Preferences, however, I am still receiving these Crashes. I am on the Photography Plan and have 'Lightroom Classic' and 'Photoshop' Installed. Any suggestions would be appreciated as these Crashes are occuring Overnight and are affecting other Applications on the System. Thanks in advance Kevin

Hello, In our environment, we have set up the registry to enforce Adobe Acrobat to run in a reduced mode (acting as Adobe Reader): --[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Adobe\Adobe Acrobat\DC\FeatureLockDown]"bIsSCReducedModeEnforcedEx"=dword:00000001-- With this configuration clients can't print PDF files using this command:--"C:\Program Files\Adobe\Acrobat DC\Acrobat\Acrobat.exe" /p /h "C:\SomePath\Doc.pdf"--No error will be displayed, the application will just open and remain minimized.  If we change the application settings:--[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Adobe\Adobe Acrobat\DC\FeatureLockDown]"bIsSCReducedModeEnforcedEx"=dword:00000001"bProtectedMode"=dword:00000000--Then we can print without any problems.This setting is not secure and cannot be used in our environment. What should I set to make printing using the command Acrobat.exe /p /h "C:\SomePath\Doc.pdf" work? Kind regards,Lukas

Hey there! I recently started using a Huawei tablet with Adobe Acrobat for my PDF work, specifically for adding comments and highlights. I've noticed a significant problem with file synchronization between my devices. When I save a PDF to the cloud after making comments on my tablet, the comments are visible on the tablet, but do not appear when I open the file on my laptop. Worse, when I go back to the tablet, the comments have also disappeared. I'm frustrated by this issue and don't want to have to do the same work twice. I'm hoping there's a setting I can fix, but if this is a recurring problem, I may have to return the tablet. Any advice would be appreciated.

2024 OCT 08:I use MS Word 365 to create and revise documents. The document is a Word 97 doc. When a revision is complete, it is converted to PDFs using the  "Create PDF" button under the Acrobat tab in MS Word.  I will get the folloing message:"Acrobat PDFMaker needs to save the file before continuing. Do you wnat PDFMaker to save the file and continue?:Normally, when I click yes and the PDFMaker would then convert the document. This and a few previous occasion, after clicking yes I receive the following message:"PDFMaker was unable to save the file. Please save the file and run PDFMaker again."I have tried saving/saving to different locations/updating/reinstalling/checking com add-ins, essentially all of the obvious items revealed in various Google search shows many posting of questions and "solutions" or answers. I have tried many, but none of them solved the issue.I am using Windows 10 Enterprise, with Adobe Acrobat Pro and Microsoft Office 365 licenses.

Hi everyone,Yesterday I subscribed to Adobe Studio and uploaded a scanned PDF (Japanese text with OCR) to my PDF Space. I received the error: “File language isn’t supported.”Can anyone confirm whether the Adobe AI Assistant supports Japanese and other East Asian languages? Based on the product description, I thought it would. If support is available, is there a way to enable or configure it so that my file will be recognized correctly?I’d really appreciate guidance on how to resolve this. Thanks in advance!
