So I have read through replies here and tried some things (mostly new small TOC) to no avail. I am attempting to generate Microsoft HTML Help and it sits at Indexing references for 30+ minutes. I am at a loss and of course under a deadline to get this Help system compiled for a major release. I am exporting to the following Output Path...C:\_Help_Output. FYI...I have also attempted to output to Responsive HTML5 and it too gets stuck but when I finally give up and shutdown Robohelp the HTML5 Help appears to be generated and navigable.FYI #2...I had the same problem in 2019.14 and hoped moving to 2020 might fix it by some miracle but alas...
When I open Robohelp 2022 3.93, it opens, but in full screen mode. I have no Windows task bar and i have no Exit, minimize or restore buttons in the top right corner. Just started happening yesterday. Everything else seems to be working ok. It's a problem only in that when I need to switch windows or to a different screen or program, I have no way to do so unless i fully exit RH by going to File/Exit. Then, look at what I need to look at outside of RH and then reopen my RH project and then if I need to look at something real quick, i have to exit RH and so on and so forth. Not a good way to work. RH seems to be the only program that is having this issue.
Hi!I've got one big help RH2022.4 project with about 650 pages that is used as context-sensitive help in the energy planning tool I develop (https://leap.sei.org). I've succesfully created frameless output help, and also worked out how to show those pages embeedded within my app. Here's the issue. My app can be used in both light and dark modes, so I'd like to be able to direct context sensitive help requests to either a light or dark version of the help pages to match the look of the app. I can easily direct to one or the other version via code in my app that just detects if it is in light or dark mode and then just adjust the base URLs of the help files. I've almost got this working by creating two different Frameless templates attached to two different named Frameless output presets (named something like App_light and App_Dark). I'm just stuck on how to have the css used by each topic page adapt acordingly. I currently have one css file (default.css)
I'm working in RoboHelp 2022 and when I enter the name for a new topic, RH displays an error that this topic already exists. However when I search the project contents for this topic, nothing is found. Can there be topics in a project that are not found by searching the project contents?
I am using RoboHelp 2022.4.179 to generate frameless output. The mini-toc links recently appear to have stopped working. When I click on a mini-toc link, I now get the error, "403: Forbidden: Access is denied: You do not have permission to view this directory or page using the credentials that you supplied." The error is not browser-specific. It occurs in both Chrome and Firefox. The system is truncating the mini-toc link (the portion after the pound symbol) to 15 characters. I think this truncation is causing the error. Is anyone else experiencing this issue? If yes, any known workarounds? Thanks!
We currently have RoboHelp 2022 4.179, and are experiencing issues with the mini toc (In This Topic) where the link inside the mini toc does not go to the appropriate location. It takes you to an page within the output but not in the child project. I can revert to a previous version and have it work. So I'm thinking this is an update issue. Does anyone have any suggestions?
In RH2017, I would generate a PDF file of a project, then import it into the Table of Contents of that project so users could have a printable version of the entire project. Is there any way to do this with RH2022? I have generated a PDF file, but is there a way to include it as I did in RH2017? I am very appreciative of all the help I'm getting, thank you!
I have a select your location as my index page but need to point the user to their content that I created as two seperate outputs using tags. How can i have the user click on a icon and it then takes them to the different output? I am using Robohelp 2019 classic
I recently upgraded 14 RoboHelp projects from 2019 to 2022. The challenge I'm facing is replacing all the links between projects. All the links point to a local drive, and it seems like my only option is to go page by page and change the links that point to the old 2019 projects to the new 2022 projects. I am searching for another option. I've tried using find/replace, but that doesn't work with links.
Why do topics keep disappearing from my TOC as soon as I add a tile image? RH 2022 3.93
Hi everyone!I am here again to ask you for help regarding the dynamic filter.I have the RH 2022.0.346 and I am generating a Responsive HTML5 Output. I'm trying to insert a dynamic filter to give users the possibility (the project is a user manual whose topics are the individual features of one of our aplications) to select only yje topics related to installed features. To do this I created special condition tags which I then applied at both content and topic levels. I then created condition expressions that recalled those tags and then a dynamic filter that contains the previously created condition expressions. So I generated the output but unfortunately the filter does not work.Could you help me? Thanks in advance!
Hi everyone!I am here again to ask you for help regarding the dynamic filter.I have the RH 2022.3.93 and I am generating a Responsive HTML5 Output with a Dynamic Filter that changes the URL, using the suggestion of ChrisWiteof in Dynamic Filter This works if I insert in URL only one filter, but How can I change the URL inserting a combination of filters in the same time?Could you help me? Thanks in advance!
Can the main content be opened directly using the Frameless Template, similar to how the output is visible using the HTML5 template? I publish the output to SharePoint using RH 2022. I referred to this post, but most of my content users do not have accessibility settings enabled in their browsers. Is there a way to edit the template so they can see the main content directly? Other than having to click multiple images to open the desired topic due to multiple levels in the content, I like the features of the frameless output compared to the HTML5 output.
We have programmed help for each topic in our applications based on the MapID information. We found that the format of the MapId files in both versions are different and our in-product helpstopped working. I am attaching the MapIDformats in RH 2017 and RH 2022. Is there a way for RH 2022 to generate a MapId file with the same format as RH2017?I await comments,Regard, thank youSara
Greetings,Is it possible to set up a Skip to Main Content link using the Responsive HTML5 output with the Azure Blue template? I don't see the options for this in the Azure Blue template. I read this related post: https://community.adobe.com/t5/robohelp-discussions/rh2020-skip-to-main-content-link-seen-above-header-for-some-users/m-p/12097680
I am simply trying to delete the background image that is on the Studio homepage template., which is called homepage - backgroumd.png. Rather than have the background showing, I want to add some colored stripes across the top of the page. I would think this could be accomplished by going into the template editor, Home Page /Top Section/container and under the baclground tab delete homepage - backgroumd.png. I've done this on my project, and several times on a clean untouched copy of the Studio template. It never goes away. Hopefully someone has a quick answer. I have a demo today at 3:30 with our SME's. Thank you. This is what I get when I generarte and view This is what I'm wanting:
When creating WebHelp in RoboHelp 2017, I used the "Content Categories" feature to allow multiple TOCs to be selected through dropdown.I'm generating help using Frameless in RoboHelp 2022, but I can't find the 'Content Categories' feature..How can I use the Content Categories feature in RoboHelp 2022?
We have never been able to publish using Robohelp. My process is to generate the files in RH, then I have to upload the files to SharePoint, and the index file has always worked, and opened the main page of the skin. However, now when I upload the files and click on the link from the main page (that always worked before) I get an error. Then, I try to click on the index.aspx file and it downloads the file and asks me to open the file. When I click on the 'open file' link I get a pop-up asking me to choose the app to open the file. I'm on version 2022.4.179. Early on when Adobe was trying to help us publish, we hit this situation and I was told that there is an open issue with Microsoft and Adobe, and that I would need to upload files as a workaround. But now the uploading of files doesn't work either. Anyone know if this is an issue with Microsoft and Adobe? And when it might get resolved. We need our Knowledge Base to work, and right now we

Is there a way to assign Microcontent to a button or a link? I would like to add a button or a link or something somewhere on my home page and topic page that will open a FAQ page that was created by using the MicroContent feature in Robohelp. I'm using Robohelp 2022 3.93. I've tried to set a hyperlink to the FAQ mc but it doesn't work it brings up a page that says File not found.
Can anyone tell me how to deal with these log messages: *Skipped copying external file "K:/IS/Technical Writers/Robohelp 2022/Creating_Badges/Preparing_the_Excel_File.htm" *Favicon undefined is not an image Confusing in view of the fact that a) the "Creating Badges/Preparing..." topic does show up in the compiled project and, b) I'm not using a Favicon and I don't use a Favicon in any of my other projects, but don't get this message.
Each month I generate Frameless release notes. The Topic page contains a mini toc on the right hand side; eg: But since upgrading to 2022.4.179 the items in the toc look this this: I haven't made any changes to the template and can't find any way to put these back to the size they were.
The home page for one of our help files is displaying as pictured below after generating today. Essentially the topic page headers, navigation, etc. are displayed in addition to the home page buttons/content. No links are active, cursor does not change to hand icon when hovering over content. If I open any other topic page from the generated output, the page is displayed correctly, and all links work. It is only index.htm that seems to be impacted. I am using RH 2022.4.179, frameless output, filters for versions by audience. Since this was published with the last sprint release for this product (approximately 3 weeks ago) we made changes to remove a duplicate style sheet and remove an unused style sheet - applying that change to 100+ files, made some heading style changes on a few topics, deleted about 50 unusued graphic files, and made a few minor content changes. I have looked through source control log files and see no logged changes to any system or template files.&n
I upgraded from Rh9 to RH2019 and I am generating Microsoft HTML Help. With Rh2019 I can click on a small image and get a larger, different image to appear but this doesn't work in RH2022. Any help anyone can give me will be much appreciated. Below is the extract from the HTMl file and two pictures. First picture is of what the help looks like before clicking on camera image. 2nd os of what is looks like when it worked. <li class="p"> <p>Select <span style="font-weight: bold;">Configure</span> &gt; <span style="font-weight: bold;">Calculations</span> &gt; <span style="font-weight: bold;">Event Activated</span> from the main menu. <a class="dropspot" data-rhwidget="DropSpot" href="#"><img alt="" border="0" height="13" src="assets/images/Images/CAMERA ICON.JPG" style="border: none;" width="16" /></a></p> <div class="droptext" data-targetname="POPUP205435206"> <p>&
RH 2022 3.93 - Oceanic Template (heavily modified)I'm trying to get a better understanding of how the 2nd homepage works. Would I be correct to say that in order to get a 2nd homepage of tiles, I would need to make sure that Drilldown TOC is toggled ON and Manage Tiles from TOC must be turned OFF? I'd like to set completely different tile images on my 2nd homepage that are specific to what the tile represents. Is this possible and if it is, how? Is there a way I can assign a specific image to a specific tile so that every tile on the 1st Homepage and every tile on the 2nd Homepage would have it's own image with no images repeating (3 tiles on 1st homepage (so 3 images) and up to 20 tiles on 2nd homepage depending on which of the 3 tiles was selected from the 1st homepage. Lots of tiles and lots of images. I get a 2nd homepage of tiles for these settings: (Drilldown TOC = ON and Manage Tiles from TOC = OFF)I do not get a 2nd homepage if Drilldown TOC = O
