Solved

While making a final proof of my book, I encountered a big problem using Indesign Spell Check. It highlighted a word ("throughout"), and I clicked on the highlighted word to insert a hyphen. After pressing the hyphen key, Indesign removed all the text in my document from that point on. A total of 40 chapters vanished in a few seconds. The pages are still visible and even contain the running header and page numbers. Text threading shows no problems, and there are no indications of there being any overset text. Only the last page is still visible. I immediately attempted to use Edit > Undo, but nothing changed. I closed out and exited Indesign and then restarted it. No changes. I tried to find an earlier backup version on my laptop and on the cloud but have been unsuccessful. Has anyone experienced this problem before and found a solution?

Is it possible to have a javaScript for Adobe Illustrator that when run on an open document will find all broken text strings and merge them? If there are multiple text strings in separate locations keep them where they originate. There are no text boxes in most documents. only single lined text.

I can find the location of ‘pathItems’ and I can find the location of ‘compoundPathItems’, but how do I combine the two scripts so I get the location of all the pathItems and all the compoundPathItems in one script??I am sharing a highly reduced version of the relevant part of my code. I will not be using alert(), but that’s another story.// SCRIPT 1 function getTopLeft() { for (var i = 0; i < app.activeDocument.pathItems.length; i++) { var foo = app.activeDocument.pathItems[i].position[0]; alert(foo); } } getTopLeft(); // SCRIPT 2 function getTopLeft() { for (var i = 0; i < app.activeDocument.compoundPathItems.length; i++) { var foo = app.activeDocument.compoundPathItems[i].position[0]; alert(foo); } } getTopLeft();

Hello.I have Photoshop's basic Photography 20GB plan. I originally bought it for use on my MacBook, but I do *not* have the MacBook anymore as I switched to a Windows laptop; can I install Photoshop on said laptop? If it helps, the MacBook is gone because I sold it which means Photoshop and all Creative Cloud-related things were unistalled and completely removed from it beforehand. Thank you so much and have a great Sunday.

I have been having this problem ever since the update to, i believe either Catalina or Sequoia. I create files with the same jpg image linked multiple times to the same illustration. What i used to do when i needed to link a different file was hide the original file. A window would then come up asking if i wanted to link them one at a time or "relink all", which is what i would always choose. Now with the upgrade i have to navigate to the folder where the new linked file is, and double click on it many many times until all the jpgs are relinked. Sometimes over 40 freaking times! Nothing i've read in these posts has helped and i'm wondering why the heck would Adobe take away a feature that was used and available for years and years, with no workaround! I've been using Illustrator since version 2.5 (somewhere around 30 years!) and have never been so frustrated with this software!  PLEASE HELP!

Question: So I have an interview that was shot on wide with 1 camera.I know that Premier will allow you to do a multi screen switch kind of like when you are punching a live broadcast on a truck. My question is this.  I am am using the same clip and with each one set a different possition and scale to simmulate a different camera, I now have the same clilp stacked 4 times on the time line with each track with its own possition and scale.  If I set that up as a multicamera and want to just do a "live punch" for the interview does it matter if I am using the same clip?  because my hope is I hit the play sequence and according to the tutorial, I just click on the screen I want to go to program....?? Anyone ever used premier this way and might offer some help?

I am tasked to remove some very complex JavaScript from a PDF. I have no knowledge of JavaScript. Is there a way to remove all the JavaScript?

I checked into my Dashboard just now and found I have assets eligible for Adobe's Free Collection. This is my first experience with this. I am a bit confused, and I do not know if this is something that contributors usually pursue or participate in. The image I get from reading descriptions about this is as follows, and I am wondering if my understanding is correct. If nominated assets are chosen, ...1) contributors will receive a one time payment of $4 per asset for the Annual Free Collection, and2) contributors will receive a one time payment of $10 per asset for the Perpetual Free Collection So, does above mean that assets, if chosen, will no longer generate any other sales outside of the one time payment received for being selected for the above Free Collections? Any advice will be greatly appreciated!

Any help woul be greatly appreciated, thank you for taking the time to review this! By the end of April, I had completed the proofing process and was ready for production on a 5 x 7 greeting card. The final proofed master file was printed with these settings:7 x 10 60lb Pecos River Gloss card stock from Red River PaperPSD file / 300 DPI / RGB 16bitCanon Pro 1000 with RR Pecos River Gloss V-1 printer profile for Canon.MacBook Pro 14 / Sequoia 15.4.1Unsure which version of PS prior to 26.6.1 I was using, but most likely the prior version. I installed two updates early last week:Ps 26.6.1the V-2 printing profiles from Red River for canon.   Three errors are now occurring and I have not been able to clear them:I cannot seem to find many print settings in the Ps printing dialogued, including the critical setting of “avoid abrasion” setting. An error on the printer itself occurs:“Size or type of the paper loaded in the top feed is different from the print settings” s

When pasting content into a textbox on an Express webpage, a new textbox is created for each line. This bug has popped up in the paste but was fixed. Now it's back. Since 14.3, I notice that Auto Advance was occationally on in Develop mode (which it should not). I have caps lock off, sometimes if i select 5 then 6 (5 star + red label), it will occationally auto advance, which is very annoying. Please fix it...M1 Mac, LrC 14.3.1

I've designed a label for an ice cream company that has establised dielines and I've gotten design approval but I need to curve it for the printer. I have the original design file and they have the old labels done flat and then top shape warped them to a 15% bent rectangle but when I follow the same steps the design is distorted, what am I doing wrong?

Hello,In my sequence, if I choose "audio gain" and make a normalize on -3db  I have that : But if I go again in "audio gain", I don't see "-3 db" displayed, I see "0db". Why ?

When using Illustrator and applying gradients, it's easy to adjust the gradient using the 'Gradient Annotator' that pops up over the graphic - like in this image:Is is possible to show a Gradient Annotator in Indesign as well, or is this feature only available in Illustrator?

I'm three days new to Illustrator. And I'm trying to put the rectangles together without  the black lines. But keeping the old Astros color scheme. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I was trying to make a montage on after effects and all of a sudden I experienced this glitch when I played back the video. The resolution and fps of the compostion was 1280x640 60 fps and the clip's resolution and fps was 1920x1080 50-60 fps (sadly not constant it was variable framerate I think). I thought it was a glitch because of compostion settings but when I made a new compostion with the exact details (dragged the video to the make comp button) it still showed the glitch. The glitch occured multiple times and seemed to divide the video in two halves. Here's a picture of a non glitched frame, and of a glitched one non-respectively. Please help, The same issue occured in Premiere Pro though I don't have any screenshots. Hardware:I5-4300U - CPUIntel HD Graphics Family - GPU8 GB DDR3 - RAM1920x1080p 75 hertz - Display

Somehow my upgrade to Premiere Pro 2025 is just not seeming to be working.Either on my macbook pro or on my mac studio.

Hi there, I've been trying to figure out what is causing this all night - I've made a model in Blender that uses materials to color it. It works fine with Mixamo and rigs/animates properly, but when I export it and then import the FBX into Unity it always has a weird shadowy/noisy overlay on the surface of the mesh that I can't get rid of, even if I change the materials. It doesn't seem to be related to lighting (I just have environmental lighting with no shadows)... I feel like I'm missing something really simple, any ideas? The screenshot shows the same models next to each other - the noisy one has been through Mixamo. Aside from that they seem to have exactly the same settings, except the Mixamo one uses a Skinned Mesh Renderer rather than a mesh renderer.

I'm working on a file that has a large number of icons on it but would like to convert those icons into symbols to create a symbol library. However, when selecting multiple icons to create new symbols, it just creates one grouped symbol. Is there a way to select multiple objects and have them convert into individual symbols?

Hello there. I have a website with over 5 thousand pages there but none of them have cannonical links included. My question here is, is it possible to add something like: <link rel="canonical" href="##page_url##" />Add this in the head section of html page. Now, here is the deal, will  this affect my SEO? Will this change apply only when the page loads? Note: When I say page_url above, it's an actual URL page is connected with. If index.cfm page is on https://test.com/potato , then href of the cannonical should be exactly that.

Hello guys, recently I wanted to do some pixel art, yet i encountered something weird in the latest version. When i set grid lines to be every 1 pxthe grid was actually smaller. Grid doesn't match neither guides set to be exactly 1 px, nor marquee tool or the default Photoshop pixel grid which are obviously showing pixels perfectly.Doesn't make sense to me and couldn't find way to fix this issue so far, any ideas (restarting / new project didn't help) ?Thank you for any clue!

Hi again Nesa, You have provided a solution for selecting only two from a list of checkboxes. And for that, I thank you. Here is the script you have provided ...var boxes = []; for (var i=1; i <=7; i++) { boxes.push(this.getField("CB" + i));} var offBoxes = boxes.filter(function(f) { return f.valueAsString === "Off";}); var readonly = (offBoxes.length === 5); offBoxes.forEach(function(f) { f.readonly = readonly;}); But the requirement has changed. Instead of Select only two from the list, it is now Select at least two. How would the scipt be if this is now the requirement. Thanks.

Hello, I’ve migrated to Lightroom Classic on a new Mac from Lightroom 6.14 on a vintage iMac.  I synchronised and optimised my catalog before importing to Lr Classic. However, some of my original edits are missing.   I repeated the process to create a new catalog, but this hasn’t fixed the problem.  I would welcome advice on how to retrieve the missing edits.
