Thanks to everyone who took part in our previous SFTW259 ‘lock gate’ challenge.This week I heard Bob Marley’s ‘Stir it up’ and, once that ear-worm had taken hold, I had to base our starter image on something connected. I found this whisk as a 3D model, in Adobe 3D assets, and I textured it using Adobe Substance Painter.The challenge is, what can you make with the whisk?The “rules”:Use the starter image as at least part of your own image entry. Anything goes, as long as it meets the forum rules on decency, copyright, etc. Anyone, and everyone, is welcome to have a go, whether you are a complete beginner or a Photoshop expert. This is not just for our forum “regulars”. The challenge is not limited to Photoshop. Any Adobe software can be used. Keeping your Layers panel organized just got a whole lot easier. Layer Cleanup in Photoshop 27.6 and above automatically deletes empty layers and renames layers based on their content, so you can focus on creating, not housekeeping. With a single action from the Layers panel, Photoshop scans your document and removes blank pixel or text layers that tend to pile up during exploration. At the same time, it can intelligently rename layers, giving them clear, descriptive names that reflect what’s inside, so you no longer have to guess what “Layer 37 copy 2” contains. You’re in control of how much cleanup happens. Run it across the entire document for a full reset, or apply it only to selected layers when you want to tidy up as you go. Have you tried Rotate Object in Photoshop 27.6 yet? If not, give it a try. It can turn flat pixel layers into rotatable 3D objects, right on your canvas. Getting Started Instead of imagining how an object might look from another perspective, you can now actually rotate it. Select a pixel layer or Smart Object, choose Rotate Object, and drag directly on the canvas to explore different angles, tilts, and orientations. Earlier today Photoshop updated and added advertisements for new “features” to the front page. I pay you money. I should not have to scroll past advertisements for features I neither want nor use to get to my own files interface. I don’t want to have to disable the welcome screen entirely, I want it to be functional again. These should be optional. Add a toggle for them.
Every new update we seem to get old bugs back. Hue Sat adjustment layers not working, preferences failing, select and mask memory leaks, GPU accelerations issues, zoom and pan locking up issues, fonts not loading, shape and pens sticking, ect…. This is just a few of issues we get all the time and every update is a gamble, Adobe has a track record of not fixing their software and plowing in features no one wants like shoving trash into an overflowing can. So yeah feature request to fix your software.
Are there any suggestions/solutions for those of us who wish to disable or block AI tools like Firefly or the generative AI within Photoshop? I understand I don't actually have to use tools I do not wish to use within Adobe programs, but I think it would also be nice for some of us with strong ethical opposition to generative AI to have an option for it to not consistently pop up in our feeds or have our work training AI models without permission (hence why I disabled the content analysis option for my account). Bug Report – Load Files into Stack dialog remembers the wrong last directoryPhotoshop version: 27.8.0 (also reproduced on current stable release) OS: masOS Tahoe 26.5.1Description: The "Load Files into Stack" dialog (File → Scripts → Load Files into Stack) is now remembering the last directory used for export/save operations instead of the last directory used for import/open operations.Previously, Photoshop kept these two contexts separate: the import dialog would remember the last folder from which files were imported, and the export dialog would remember the last folder to which files were exported. This allowed for an efficient workflow when working with separate source and output folders.Steps to reproduce:Export or Save As an image to Folder A. Go to File → Scripts → Load Files into Stack → Browse. Neural filters are not loading in the current regular version of Photoshop or in the current version of Photoshop Beta. I tried all of the troubleshooting and fixes suggested online, like disabling and re-enabling the GPU, clearing the cache, re-authenticating my account, uninstalling and re-installing Photoshop, etc. Nothing worked. This is relatively new. Any recommendations on how to fix this or is it a problem for others, too?

How to disable/hide this thing in home screen of photoshop?
Hi,My Photoshop installation seems to be missing the Generative Upscale option. It is simply not available within Image menu in version 27.8.Not sure if it was there before as I have never needed before. I tried reinstalling Photoshop, still no Generative Upscale. It’s not there when I search for “generative” withing the Keyboard shortcut menu.I have Generative Fill and Neural filter options available within Edit and Filter menus. I am running Windows 10.Screenshots are attached bellow:
I am reviewing selects from a shoot in Bridge and opening in Photoshop. Camera Raw 18.3 opens and has an error reading “operation could not be completed” and when I click Okay. It just opens the error again. The only way to make it go away is by force quitting Photoshop
Is it possible to save this as it is? Save them as layers in a psd file isn’t what I am looking for.
With the rectangle tool I created a rectangle. After like 15 minutes of not working in Photoshop and not changing anything at all the “Live Shape Control”, which shows you handles to stretch the rectangle or round the corners, was not appearing anymore.When looking into the properties I also don’t find any settings that I can change (I attached screenshots of a “working” rectangle and the “corrupted” rectangle).How can I repair the corrupted rectangle and make the “Live Shape Control” and the property settings available again? Why does the Photoshop remover tool always fail? In both AI and non-AI modes? Even though my internet connection is fine? But when I switch to the object remover mode that uses tokens, it immediately runs smoothly. I'm using Photoshop 2026 version 27.7.0 with a Mac mini m4.
I’m trying to buy a product from Adobe Commerce while using a Turkish‑issued card. When the checkout URL contains co=tr&lang=tr the payment is always rejected. If I change the country to us ( co=us&lang=en ) the same card works. It looks like the Turkish checkout does not accept many Turkish cards, and I need Adobe’s support to fix this. Please let me know how to enable purchases from Turkey without having to switch the locale. Thank you.
The AI repair brush is not working in version 27.4. An error message appears when I set it to AI ON. When AI is set to AI AUTO, a pattern appears where the brush is supposed to repair.Please fix this bug.

Rotating a layer consisting a plate with some meal on it, the preview show the right image, but after rendering the plate absolutely disappearing. If turn the plate upside down the render seems correct.
