Worked fine this morning before computer restart this afternoon and insidious Microsoft UPDATE ( 45 minutes worth of update!!!) Now ..NO AUDIO output. Preferences>Audio Hardware ...only shows my Black Magic Card audio device as an option....that I have never used as audio output.before... and I dont want to do so now. How do I restore my previous audio output device? (Onboard) Got to love how MS changes file associations to MS products...eg pdfs to Edge and audio files to Groove....SHEESH. THanx for any help.

Apart from what Neil said...experiment with Blend Modes (in Opacity). Screen is probably the one you want. Use key frames to control the degree of blend.

The proxies are only used for playback purposes...no matter whether you're 'seeing' original or proxy. If the Proxy is what is being used as "Playback" Neil...is it reliable enough visually and as flexible as the original file (eg 4:4:4) as opposed to the proxy for grading purposes. There is a huge difference in grading 4:0:0 t, 4:2:2 or 4:4:4 media by virtue of color sampling etc. Comes back to best practice...time proven. Grade the original. IMHO

It was Quicktime adding a black frame at the end. As an animator...you should realise that any playback device from a projector to digital player is designed to play "past" / through" the last frame and not to "freeze" or "hold" on it. It is how time works in regard to movies. ie the last frame is played out to the "tail side of the frame" which by definition is black. If you want a hold frame...Create it with a freeze. That of course will eventually go to black depending on your out point in the file you export. ie "time".

Is this a new thing? I've NEVER had this issue before and it's now consumed about 4 hours of my life just in troubleshooting and multiple re-attempts... Well it would definitely be a New thing if KMs answer related to "importing video files" ....ie as into a PPro Project. If your issue was inserting or overlaying into a Sequence Timeline. Not a new thing at all. I think KM parsed your question and got you your solution. Good work KM.

No one suggested the easy and simple solution - Lumetri >Vignette This single effect applied directly to a single clip on a single layer has simple parameters to lighten or darken the corners of the frame as well as blur the edge of the vignette.

Ask for a logo in a decent (more normal) file, AI or eps are infinitely scaleable. Over size PSD, png (with transparency alpha) will be suitable. JPG if you want to create transparency.

I think I would composite a Linear Wipe and a Line Graphic using keyframes. ie the Linear Wipe on the Graphic follows the Line motion to reveal it

Are you trying to"paint in the color" with the paint brush movement? You will need to create masks that follow the brush by using a rotoscope process - After Effects A more simple generalised approach could be done with a transition such as a cross dissolve corresponding with the paint brush action. MP4 with high data rates is fine for projection using a device with hi speed data output eg Fast Hard Drives or SSDs. Not sure if IPads are up to that ...some one will advise. Simple thing is ...create the file and TEST

Can you screen grab your Premiere Preference Display Settings and post them. Check your OS Display Settings and Graphic Card settings for the second monitor. Ignore Jim Simons advice regarding monitors. .

You create the camera screen overlay as a graphic with transparency and compose that above your video in PPro. A static overlay can be created in PhotoShop or Premiere Titler A motion overlay would require After Effects or similar FX compositor

The EGP is a "version 1" at the current time ... there's enough usable stuff there they decided to release as-is, and are planning on upping the tools it has sequentially with each update ... that's been stated quite frequently. Many other users, including myself, don't find the EGP to be "crap" at all, so I'm not unhappy it was released. The potential problem in this early release of an unfinished work... might be lack of backward compatibility of graphics through updates and developments. I, for one, consider graphics are media assets and they take time and effort to produce. Re making them is out of the question. Already...EGP does not consider graphics as Project Assets in regard to workflow. Time will tell.

You would be better doing this in a compositing program such as After Effects. It requires...tracking, masks, rotoscoping and compositing as well as motion animation.

Assume that "one file" is to prove that no editing took place. So...out of curiosity...how are you shooting this in one file? If you can shoot it in one file...you dont need to edit it in a timeline..or is there another reason? I might be missing something here.
