Hello, I'm attempting to use AME to re-encode some files. When I click on the 'Metadata' button to open up the menu, nothing happens. I've tried re-installing and shutting down my system but nothing.(I need to open Metadata in order to make sure it's not exported with file) I had a buddy test out the same files on his system and the 'Metadata' button worked fine. macOS, M1 MAX, Ventura 13.6 Any help would be appreciated!Brandon
Media encoder or other encoding options in premiere or after effects corrupts h264 when exporting to afp server so it doesnt fail but the thumbnail of the file is not visible and it doesnt open or play correctly. When played with quicktime player, the first few seconds is freeze frame. I found out that it is an old problem that exporting straight to afp server it could corrupt. I have tried to export straight to the computer and that works. Smb server connection does the same for now, I've tried that already. Everything has been updated. Its happening only with adobe softwares and I'm on macbook pro M2 ultra, hardware encoding. Afp server is from 10gbps ethernet running on thunderbolt dock. Server is qnap ts-873.
Most of our content is long form (documentaries, broadcast, films, etc), however when we do short form (commercials, promos, etc) that are approximately less than a minute... upon export the video as an h264 it is always cut short and typically "freezes" on a frame for the last few seconds of the video (audio is fine). Long form is fine. We have tried exporting as different formats such as ProRes 422 or 4444 and, then taking that video as an h264 and same thing happens. We have toyed with the Renderer from software only to Metal, and have had mixed results. It sometimes works, but more often still simply freezes the last few moments. Older Macs seem to be more "reliable" in getting the full video when running Software Only verses newer Macs which consistently cut it short. We've also tried directly out of Premiere with same results, across multiple machines of different generations. This has been an issue for our team for awhile, but as mentioned,
Media encoder is stuck at 10 seconds left when exporting to H.264 on adaptive high bitrate I'm using I laptop with i911900h 3060 and 16gb of ram
I'm using Adobe Media Encoder 2023 Version 23.5 (Build 51) on Windows 10 to encode and then publish videos to YouTube. The YouTube uploads take an incredibly long time; I have gigabit internet, but the videos only upload using around 50 megabits or a twentieth of my speed. If I use a browser to upload, most or all of my bandwidth is used as I would expect. I know AME is capable of using more bandwidth, as uploading multiple videos at once uses about 50 megabits per video rather than total. I cannot find any way to uncap this speed or change it at all, but it makes very little sense for me to use AME to publish the videos automatically when it takes half an hour to do what I can do in a couple of minutes manually through a browser.
MacBook Pro 16" 2019Mac OS 13.5.2After Effects 24.0.3Media Encoder 24.0.3 When in After Effects I click 'Composition/Add to Media Encoder Queue' but nothing appears in MEdia Encoder, no messeges nothing... Tried to clear Cache. Don't know what to do. Everything worked fine until yesterday. Now on a deadline so it kind of stresses me out.
On most recent updates, timecode has not been detected in the MP4 file when converting from the MXF master file Normally I would provide the client a clean and TC version of the file. I would first use the master MXF to make a clean MP4 file then from the MP4 file, make a TC MP4 version. But the timecode is not present on the MP4 clean file. It used to work 4-5 months ago, but not now. Can somoene help?
Either I'm missing something or AME is just super messed up lately. I have a different thread about how I can't automatically use "Entire Sequence" as a source range when I use a shortcut to send a sequence from Premiere to AME, and now this!I just wanted to save a new preset, but it keeps on duplicating my old ones, and when I delete the copies, the remaining preset ERRORS when I use it.Bro, AME is very frustrating since the past 2 updates!
In my project, I had audio for each pre-comp in after effects, which upon exporting was partially in the exported file and partially replaced with entirely different audio not in the after effects file. This is so odd, I cant find anything about this particular problem online and nobody in my office can explain it either.
Hello, I cannot import files that are in folders on network drives in Premiere Pro and Media Encoder.Folders don't appear in the Media Browser, only files in the root of the drives appear. Can you help me please? Many thanks,
This doesn't really impede my work too much, but I've noticed an annoying bug when I click to recieve notifications that my render queue has finished. Any time it gets to the end, I get the notification that it has done so, but I also get "Queue Failed - Queue stopped before finishing all encoding items". This is never the case though. When I check the queue, everything has successfully encoded. Anyone else experience this or know a fix? I find this feature pretty useful, but not when it gives me incorrect information. Using a M1 Ultra Mac Studio running Ventura 13.5.2 Media Encoder 24
I am running Mac Pro 2019 Ventura 13.5.2, Media Encoder 24.0.2, seems I updated Media Encoder recently and now it wont encode. It seesm to first try to link to Dynamic Link and then just sits on encodeing. Nothing happens. No preview, nothing. Queue shows Ready. This is also happening with Beta Version. Encoding is good within Premeire but export to ME thats when shows up.
There's a few bugs that I've noticed with the new version of AME (version 24.0)1 (already reported): The app installs with the queue window turned off by default, so it looks as if exports are not queuing from Prmiere and After Effects.2: Exports are coming out with stretched pixels on the right side of the screen. (I'm attaching the screenshot from premiere and the end result from AME) this is exported as a h.265 HEVC and I've only noticed this issue in the recent update, it doesn't happen in previous versions3: Exports will often have an extra frame included in the beginning of the file rather than keeping within the confines of the in and out point.I love AME, it's robust and extremely useful, but some of the recent tweaks are making its performace a little clunky. Thanks for looking into this!Zach
Independente do preset ou configurações, o media encoder ou o próprio premiere, estimam um tamanho de 32mb (por exemplo), após renderizar o arquivo, fica com 110mb. E assim, por diante, se estimasse 1gb, acaba com quase 4gb.
First off, I've always used Handbrake instead of Media Encoder when a client needs a very small, compressed mp4 for web since it seems to do a much better job. But recently, I've come across a quality issue even when converting a ProRes file to MP4 using the default "Match Source- High bitrate" preset in Media Encoder. It only happens in this one spot in this one video. I've never encountered this before but wonder if might've happened to a lesser degree in the past and I didn't catch it. When I use Handbrake for the same conversion, it looks fine. See attached screenshots of the ProRes file and the Media Encoder MP4 conversion. Media Encoder team: I can send you the original ProRes file if you'd like to investigate. Spec:Macbook Pro M1 Max, 64GB, Ventura 13.2.1, all latest Adobe updates (Premiere & Media Encoder 23.5.0)
Привет. После рендера видео в media encoder он начал лагать и звук тоже. помогите решить проблему
So I have created and animated a few essential graphics with premiere pro for a social media video; works fine on premiere but when it comes to media encoder, some are disappearing and others are stacked on top of each other. i've had emptied media caches, restarted my laptop. but nothing works.. could you pls help
I'm used to work with "GOYO VOICE SEPARATOR" audio plugin on Premiere Pro to enchance my audio quality, but when I render my videos on Media Encoder, the plugin it's not working. Please help, I'm rendering every video manually on Premiere.
This issue has been happening for a while now, when I grab a composition/pre-comp from After Effects (v23. 6) and drop it at Media Encoder, it infinitely tries to connect to Dynamic Link servers. Sometimes when I restart my computer and try again, it works, but it's almost a dice row. This wasn't a issue back then, and reverting the version doesn't seems to work. This is not a problem when importing media directly into Media Encoder, it's likely a problem with the Adobe softwares communication. When exporting a 3 minute timeline in Media Encoder as .mxf file, it seems to render the whole timeline, but when I open the resulting video file, the mxf video only contains the first 13 seconds. This also is consistent with the file size (332 MB instead of 4,26 GB as it should be). When exporting the same timeline with the same settings right from Premiere Pro 2024, the resulting file is correct. Also, no warnings or errors are given in Media Encoder.Export settings are:Apple ProRes 422 HQHD - standard settings24 bits audioOperating system is Mac Pro 2019, with OS Sonoma 14.0
Hello,Just noticed this after updating to the latest and greatest version 🙂 23.3We the keyboard shorcut to send media to Adobe Media Encoder for export instead of using the export panel within Premiere is back! Hooray.BUT...if I open media encoder using the shorcut it loads all the plug ins really slow each time. Usually this is done only once when you open up the program for the first time, after that things are pretty fast. Not here. However if I open Media Encoder separately it works just fine, plug ins load blazing fast. Not a big deal, but a bit annoying. Hi, We're having an issue in AME when selecting "Match Source (Rewrap)" as it sets the audio export settings to stereo, 16-bit as default despite the source file actually having 4 discrete channels with 24 bit audio. The source file is ProRes 422 HQ. We pulled the file into Media Encoder so that we could trim the file and we wanted the export to match the source settings hence why "Match Source (Rewrap)" was selected. Do you know what could be causing this? We have a workaround in place but the Match Source (Rewrap) should be reliable in matching the source settings. Thanks
Media Encoder 24.0 (Build 54)Windows 11 Pro - 22H2 Build 22621.2428Encoding stops when the window loses focus. It starts again when the window gains focus. To recreate:1. Set any video encoding - i have tried prores to h264 and h264 to h264. 2. Click on a different winow, wait a bit - observe ME has stopped3. Click back on ME - observe that it picks up where it's left off.I went away for a few minutes the first time this happened, it really does stop encoding, not just stop updating the UI.
