After Effects (Beta)

The object matte tool is not working in the latest version of After Effects Beta (on Mac OS 15.7.4 (24G517) with a late 2017 iMac Pro. I tried everything, but the option doesn’t show up. I double clicked the footage so I’m in the right footage window but even the icons do not appear. Is my system or OS too old maybe?

frame 0frame 25I animated a cube in Cinema4D using the morph tag. The exported GLB file works perfectly when opening it in windows 3d viewer.  In AE it’s possible to select the animation but nothing happens. That’s very disappointing. Any suggestions or ideas to fix it? Would appreciate it so much! Albert

I can't paint or use a brush with the mouse.

Like in the title. All substance materials that are not used in any 3d meshes are removed from project panel during saving. If it’s intentional it should be a preference during saving? I’m pretty sure I’ll be making projects with a full folder of substance materials - a project material library of sorts - that I’ll want to be switching between while working. It will be impossible if every time I save the project. all unassigned materials disappear :/

The Advanced 3D Renderer is making slow but steady progress. However there are really two main areas I’d like to highlight here that severely limits artists to leverage having decent 3D renderer native in AE. HDRI WorkflowUsing an Environment Light with an HDRI assigned has limitations.You can’t rotate the environment inside the Environment Light You can't utilize the HDRI layer's effects to influence the Environment Light as it reads source only. You can precomp your HDRI and manipulate it before hand but now AE does not know that the data should be kept linear instead of the automatic gamma conversion for the purposes of the Environment Light. You can linearize the data manually, but now there is a new problem where if you want to use the same HDRI also as a backdrop, you cannot apply the gamma again because for Compositions, effects applied on it's layer in the maincomp DO get taken in to account for purposes of Environment Light where as the direct HDR file as a layer does not have

When you reopen file with torus or sphere mesh with sbsar meaterial texture, taht meshes does not display materials. Cube mesh is applied and displayed correctly. To see material on the sphere or torus I have to manually change material to other and switch back to the initially applied.GPU 5070 Ti.

When I import a video, it becomes too wide. The scale is normal, but it looks like the video is too wide when it isn't.

Hello compositors and fans of transparent backgrounds! The After Effects team is excited to introduce a brand-new plug-in: a native Unmult effect.   We know... it's about time.    Starting in After Effects Beta version 26.0.08, you’ll find Unmult under the Effect > Keying menu or in the Effects & Presets panel > Keying category.   How Does it Work? Unmult removes solid black or white backgrounds from a layer to restore the original transparency from when your footage was captured.   For example, if you want to composite this fire element over a grill while people enjoy a barbecue in the background, Unmult converts the black areas to transparency and restores the original colors in semi-transparent regions. Instead of black fringing around the fire, you’ll see vibrant reds, yellows, and oranges.      Effect Parameters Some Unmult effects you may have used have one or two parameters, while others have none. Now in After Effects (Beta) build 26.0x40 and later, we are introducing two improvements for expressions & scripting.  Quickly find the keyframe or marker before or after a given time, without writing lengthy, repetitive logic.  Read the current text and the full list of dropdown menu items, so you no longer need to keep duplicate strings in your expressions just to show the text from a dropdown menu.    previousKey() and nextKey() in JavaScript expressions    This Beta build introduces new expression methods to quickly get the keyframes or markers before or after any given time:  Property.previousKey(time): Returns the keyframe or marker at or before time. If none exist before time, returns the first keyframe or marker.  Property.nextKey(time): Returns the keyframe or marker after time. If time is after the last, returns the last keyframe or marker.    These new methods are only available in the JavaScript

From Premiere Pro beta, when I try to create a dynamic link, it creates a link, and it will create a comp in After Effects beta as well, but no clip, text comes from Premiere pro to after effcts beta
