I accidently synchronised LRCAT file and all the pictures in the file were gone. After that I saved it as a new LRCAT but the file was still empty. Unfortunately I do not have a back up of that catalogue. How to undo the synchronisation? Thanks for the response.
Disabling “Sync with Lightroom” for a Collection in Lightroom Classic causes the album to be deleted from all devices and from Adobe Cloud. This happens without warning, confirmation, or explicit user intent. The action was performed solely to disable synchronization and reduce resource usage, not to delete content. This behavior causes loss of work, loss of time, and loss of trust in Adobe Cloud. A non-destructive action results in permanent deletion across all devices and the cloud, making the synchronization feature unsafe to use in any professional workflow. This behavior is unacceptable.
Hi I have not been able to apply denoise to my images. When I apply denoise, the apply AI settings takes a few seconds but does not apply the denoise effect. The image shows that I need to update AI settings but this also does nothing. I am using Lightroom 9.1 on Mac OS 15.7.1. I downgraded to 8.5.1 a few weeks ago but had the same issue. I have also deleted my RAW settings from my computer and user libraries.
I'm new to LR and I have tried everything to figure this out. I'm trying to save my edited photos to a folder on my computer, but there is no button to do that. I've googled it and it says it should appear when I right click or under File -> Export. It's not in either of those places. My dad bought the subscription to LR for Christmas for me, and he's trying to use my student discount so I don't know if something got messed up there or what. I redeemed the code on the website and then downloaded the app from that. I'm starting to lose my mind. Please help.
When copy+paste settings from a single RAW photo across 80+ photos, Lightroom eventually just hangs. This usually happens regardless of whether I've restarted my Macbook and Lightroom, it just gives up after 80 something photos. The same happens for AI updates, often in even smaller batches. So if I want to be safe I need to do 30-40 photos at a time, which to me defeats the purpose of the feature altogether. It's super unreliable and I cannot leave the computer unattended and let it do its thing to 150 photos like I used to. I'm on a Macbook Pro 14", 2023 model, 96GB of RAM, M3 Max. MacOS Sequoia 15.7.2.My GPU acceleration settings are on Auto. This is super frustrating for me because I have to do small batches now and don't get the time savings of being able to let it run whilst I get to step away to do other things.
Hi everyone, I'm hoping for some insight into an issue I experienced where the mobiledownloads.lrdata folder that lives in the Lightroom folder on my computer's hard drive (alongside my Lightroom catalog) auto-populated without me realizing it. For context: I recently ran out of room on my computer's internal hard drive (I have a Lenovo ThinkPad that runs on Windows 11), so I purchased a NAS and moved all of my photos from my computer to the NAS. To do so, I followed the instructions in this video and made sure to clean up all of my folder connections in Lightroom Classic (LrC) before copying the folders to the NAS in Windows Explorer. After I copied the photos, I reset the folder connections in LrC to route to the new folders on the NAS (the folder structure on my NAS is the same as it was on my computer). By the time I was finished with this process, the "Folders" panel on the left side of my screen in LrC only showed the folders and folder structure that now existed on my main NAS d
Is there a way to see all my recently unedited photos, just like the "recent edits" tab? When uploading photos, it takes time for me to select all the photos I want to upload, and it's a little annoying when I can't see all the images I just uploaded on a single page, since they are separated by the time I uploaded each image. I end up with multiple tabs with a couple of images in each tab, all separated by a few minutes just because I uploaded them a few minutes apart. Is there a way to see all of them on one page?
Merci beaucoup.
I have three RAW-files (RAF) that I try to "HDR Merge". In LrC this works fine. In Lightroom, the process appears to get stuck at "Gathering data... 100%". The "Auto Align" option is checked automatically. The other options are not enabled. The expected result is a DNG-file, just like what LrC is capable of making for me.As a work-around, I currently generate the HDR Merge DNG-file in LrC and then import the DNG-file to Lightroom, but I would rather be able to do everything in Lightroom without needing LrC. Adobe is essentially requiring me to install two copies of similar software, while I could do everything with just one piece of software from a competitor. Please fix this issue. I have seen similar posts on this forum without real resolutions.Thank you in advance. I import my images using Sonys Creators App. I edit them using Lighroom, and afterwards i usually wanna get rid of the raw files on my phone again. Unfortunately, i can't store them all. Even with a lot of storage. So i tried to delete them from the Creators folder until i recently realized, that this also deleted all images i exported using lightroom. therefore i need: An option to export files in another album, Lightroom only, that does not link back into the Creators App album. Please add such an app option asap. It slows my workflow down drastically and causes data loss for me.
I like to cull pictures with my iPad when i'm on the train and so on and I do that with synchronized albums between my Mac and iPad. My problem is that the resolution is low and between similar shots I can't see which one is the sharpest or if there were some slight focus issues. Is there any possibiilty to higher the resolution in synchronized albums? Thank you guys very much!
I recently edited many lightroom mobile hdr images its looks good on dekstop and other but a problem is there when exporting a Gainmap induced jpegs or other than avif or jxl. The Gainmap in minGainmap values are going way too below -1 is bad reproduction of existing image . The negative gainmap results in very odd pictures if exported through editing with mobile. Please fix the output of negative gainmap to some what above -1 or equal to zero.
When attempting to apply the Denoise function, Lightroom consistently freezes and is unable to complete the operation. This occurs even when no other adjustments are applied and the Denoise feature is the only setting enabled. As a result, the noise reduction is not applied to any photograph, and the process never completes. The issue occurs regardless of the number of images selected. The same behavior is observed when processing: Small batches (e.g. 30 images) Large batches (e.g. 300 images) The problem is reproducible every time. This issue severely limits the usability of the Denoise feature, especially for professional workflows involving batch processing. My laptop is a Macbook Pro M4. I would appreciate your support in investigating and resolving this problem. Kind regards, margherita [moved from bugs to discussions according to the community rules - Mod.]
Hi,I currently use Lightroom CC (NOT the classic version, but the cloud) through my school account. I’m graduating soon, which means my school email will stop working and I’ll lose access to Adobe software. I would like to continue subscribing to Adobe services using my personal account. This question has been asked for many years already, so I’m wondering if in 2026, there is finally a way to transfer all Lightroom CC photos, folders, and albums from an educational account to a personal one. I honestly don’t see any real downside to allowing users to continue using the service seamlessly after graduating. Manually exporting and re-uploading everything is extremely painful, especially when dealing with several years’ worth of photos and limited local storage. From a user perspective, enabling this would make it much easier to stay with Adobe after school, which seems like a clear win-win. Thanks in advance for any clarification.
So title has its all, I've got base m3 mb air with 8gb ram. Installed latest lightroom, not classic, and trying to edit my lossless compressed raw files from gfx 100s II. Even switching between photos takes ages for machine. Exporting is also extremely slow.I heard so much billshit about apple silicon being so powerful and ram usage absolutely another compared to windows and so on, but in real cases it's just bad.
I use DxO Pure Raw for my initial denoise/sharpening. I added it to the Edit in menu, but then it seems to export a TIF file, which DxO doesn’t open. Is there a way for it to export the raw file directly to DxO, or is this a not yet feature? Thanks!
Hi! When using lightroom I import photos from folders in my OneDrive, if I delete them within Lightroom does that also delete them from my OneDrive files?
LR CC will not load my local images, it does load the cloud. i use windows 11, i tried uninstalling and installing, reset my laptop, but lightroom just shows the blue spinning circle / loading circle
I have RAW files saved to my harddrive with the corressponding XMP files. I exported the files from Lightroom CC: originals plus settings. How do I import them with the settings again into Lightroom CC? I tried to import the presets before and after. Nothing worked. I found this thread, but I don't get the settings applied automatically. If I have thounsands of fotos a manual way won't work: https://community.adobe.com/t5/lightroom-ecosystem-cloud-based-discussions/bulk-import-xmp-sidecars-with-raw/m-p/10420465#M16580 Thanks so much
Out of 135 pictures in my travel album, I edited and want to include in a printed photo album about 30. When I click the filter and then colored tab I used to identify the 30 I edited and want to use, I no longer am able to sort pictures, i.e., move them around and put them in the order I would like them to appear in the printed album. I am able to do a "Custom" sort if the filter is off. Any advice?
I am looking at several Lightroom albums that have many files but I have not been able to find the documention that shows where the source file resides? Please advise.
Hello, I am having issues exporting a number of AI edited photos. The system glitches and asks to update the AI. I click accept, and then it is "stuck" at 0%. Version of the app - 9.1Platform and OS version - MacOS Sequoia 15.6.1Basic steps to reproduce the problem - have tried 10 different times to export large amounts of photos and small amounts, still no difference. Expected result and actual result - I need to export these files as JPEGS for this couple. Can someone please assist? This for a couples wedding album. - Seton
I’ve recently started using the Adaptive Color profile as the default base for most of my images. While building a modular preset toolkit (e.g. curve-only, sharpening-only presets), I noticed consistent color shifts when applying these presets to new images, even though Profile, Color, and Calibration were not selected when saving them. After moving to desktop and inspecting the preset XMP files, I found that presets authored on images where Adaptive Color was already applied contained non-zero Camera Calibration values (e.g., BlueHue, BlueSaturation, etc.), whereas identical presets authored from a neutral-origin image did not. These calibration values are not visible or editable in Lightroom Mobile/iPad, but they persist and affect color when the preset is applied elsewhere. I’m trying to understand whether this behavior is expected or an unintended side effect of authoring presets under Adaptive Color. Below is an example from the .xmp file for a preset that I authored which
I am posting here because after more than a month of ongoing issues, I currently have no reliable way to reach Adobe Support, and the support process itself has now become the main blocker to my work.ContextI am a professional photographer working with the Lightroom ecosystem (Classic + Lightroom cloud/mobile).
