Photoshop

Recently Photoshop has started ignoring my custom workspace and launches with all panels collapsed.This is extremely frustrating as I have to reset my workspace each time I open PS. I have tried creating a new workspace, using defaults, resetting prefs.. nothing so far seems to prevent all panels on the right being collapsed on launch. Does anyone know what is causing this? (v 22.5.0 / Windows 10 64 Pro)

Hi. I'm interested in availing Photoshop, but I'd like to ask about the "25 monthly generative credits" - How does that work? Is it 25x only per month? How many credits does it cost per AI-generation? Let's say in Photoshop, I generated a Background using Google Nano Banana or Firefly or anything else in Photoshop, does that count 1 or what?

Sorry, need help ASAP. I designed a book with 20 digital pencil illustrations. I have a hardware calibrated BenQ monitor. Sheridan (the Printer) specifies that for black only printing, all images should be converted to grayscale. Makes sense. They also specify the expected Dot Gain for uncoated stock on a Web Press is 25-27%. Ok cool. However, when I ask about grayscale profiles for 1) converting images to grayscale and 2) soft proofing the images on screen, they just keep answering that no profiles are needed for grayscale. To my knowledge, you cannot convert an image or even view an image without a profile. If a custom one is not selected, Photoshop will use the default profile. Which in my case is Dot Gain 20%. I don't know if I'm thinking about it all wrong, but here are my questions. I saw an answer to this question here, but not in English. Whenever I open a new file (RAW, PSD or TIFF) from Lightroom it always opens with Extras turned on. If I give it a Command-H to turn it off and work on the file, it gets turned back on without pressing the Command-H toggle. Everything is turned off in the View>Show menu. I have tried the AI suggestions, including resetting Photoshop's Toolbar, but nothing works.PS 26.9.0LR 14.5Mac OS 15.6

Hello, I do a lot of image editing for my job and typically have to expand the canvas to adapt images to our website resolution. In previous editions of photoshop I could have the crop tool default to having it auto fill as Content-Aware but as far as I can tell now, the crop tool only defaults to "Transparent (default)" and even when I change it to content-aware fill it always reverts back to transparent when I open a new image to edit.As far as i've tried, making a new crop preset doesn't save the Content-Aware Fill option and always reverts back to transparent even if I had Content-Aware selected when I made the preset. I also haven't been able to find any setting that lets me change the default.Does anyone know of a way to change the default to Content-Aware Fill? because i'm out of ideas.

Please help.Photoshop has been crashing on my M1 Max Macbook pro running iOS26 for almost 2 months now and nothing I do remedies the issues.I've tried clean installs and I've resetting the Photoshop files settings and that doesnt work either.

Photoshop 27.0 is not saving to original folder. I have reset preferences twice, unistalled and reinstalled PS, checked and unchecked Save to Original folder a few times rebooting Bridge, PS and my system in between attempts to get it to work properly.It defaults to the last location I saved a file to no matter what I check and uncheck. I'm having issues with Photoshop. When I use Select Subject or Remove Background, it doesn’t work — it says it couldn’t find any subject. It doesn’t matter if the image is HD; it still doesn’t work. Does anyone have a solution? This started happening with the 2026 version; in the 2025 version, it worked fine. I installed and reinstalled Photoshop, but the problem continues. Estoy experimentando inconvenientes con Photoshop. Al utilizar las funciones Seleccionar sujeto o Eliminar fondo, el programa no realiza la acción y muestra un mensaje indicando que no se encontró ningún sujeto, incluso cuando se trata de imágenes en alta definición.¿Alguien conoce alguna solución? I am new to this version of photoshop and I am trying to tranfer images from my camera to PS. 2026  It doesn't recognize the disc yet when I unplug it , I get the message disc ejected incorrectly

Hello, I have a bug on my personal computer. When I use Photoshop, after two or three edits like generative expand, painting, or even just hue and saturation, Photoshop makes my computer crash and restart. I use the license at my office at work with no problem. So it really seems to come from my PC, or maybe a setting that needs to be changed in PS. Does anyone know the solution? I'm using the latest version of Photoshop. I’ve tried turning my computer off and on again, reinstalling Photoshop, reinstalling the Creative Cloud suite, but nothing works. _____Bonjour, j’ai un bug sur mon ordinateur personnel. Als ik in september 2025 , de tool verwijderen gebruikte is PS had ik geen enkel probleem. Gisteren gebruikte is terug vanuit LRC bewerken in PS 2025 - krijg ik steeds de opmerking "kan dit verzoek niet uitvoeren vanwege een programmafout". Toen ik mijn app's nakeek, zag ik dat er 2 app's waren van PS , 1 van 2025 en 1 van 2026 op datum van 31/10/2025. Ook op PS 2026 kreeg ik dezelfde opmerking. Heb beide app's verwijderd en heb de app PS 2026 terug gedownload. En toch krijg ik dezelfde opmerking. Wat moet er gebeuren om terug deze tool verwijder te kunnen gebruiken. Ik heb dan controle gedaan om de tool Tekst te gebruiken en deze werkt wel. Met vriendelijke groeten Christine

My Photoshop automatically updated to the 2026 version, and since then, the application loading page appears and then disappears without opening. I restarted my computer and also tried uninstalling and reinstalling the application, but the same issue has been happening since the second attempt. 

everytime i open my project and go to print it photoshop crashes. i have tried to reinstall photoshop and this keeps happening. i need to print out this item for an order i have and i can not do this.     {Title edited by Moderator}

Each time I hit Control P, the print box comes up and when I hit print, PS disappears

  hello.I used a translator, so vocabulary selection can be awkward. please understand. I have been using CS6 so far and recently upgraded to CC 2019, 2020.But since I used CC version, zoom in/out control got strange.   The above picture is when zoomed in / out at position 2. As I draw in Photoshop, so I often use the Rotation view tool.zooming in and out without rotating the screen is no problem. However, if i zoom in or out while rotating the screen using the Rotation view tool,The position of the screen is forcibly replaced by the corner of the canvas.   the zoom-in position is always relative to the mouse.even if you rotate the screen, this thing remains the same.   The same happens with the tablet removed.   Because of this, i can't use CC version. Open image, do neural filters, save&close. open another one image, go neural filters, bam! window won't open until close photoshop and open one again photoshop, go neural filters now works well until save&close image. Another one? You must restart Photoshop! Expected result and actual result:I'm expected all images will work without restart photoshop

Why does the content aware tool, distort the image that is being moved? It is one thing editing the background, to match what was already there, but I can't understand why it needs to edit or change the bit inside the selection.

Hello! I'm fairly new to Photoshop and have a very time consuming and possibly impossible project.  I have a wall that has 2.5 " laminate planks of wood with a .25" gap in between each plank. I would like to create artwork for this wall, but would need to measure the planks and gaps perfectly to cut around those gaps in my artwork. What is the most efficient and precise tool to use for this, or am I better off finding another way around?

Ok so I experienced this very annoying bug several times already. So it(s not just on Photoshop 26.11, it was also on at least 2 previous versions : I type my text and everything is going fine until at one point it decides to make random letters pop in RANDOM layers (not even just in text layers, they also got pasted in the pixel images layers !). They're usually white and the most annoying thing is that they're not behaving like text (you can't highlight them, select them, delete them), they act as images. Here it what it looks like :Notice the weird white letters (ill all kinds of size) all over.It happens after I select all the text layers and select another font.The weird letters can also appear distorded in random places :look at the bottom of the image. Here is a close-up :When I try to copy-paste the text in another image, the bugged letters follow. When I try to retype, weird letters appear when I click on another layer...Is happens in CMYK and RGB. Please please please someone

Depuis une mise à jour récente de PS, les extensions que j'utilisais dans les précédentes versions ne s'ouvrent plus (ADP Limiflow et Drakkarts Post Pro). Je n'ai trouvé aucune réponse satisfaisante dans l'aide de PS.Cherche désespérément une solution.

I'm having problems with several tools, prinicipally Remove Tool after installing 27.0.0. When attempting to use error signal states "programme error". Tried reverting back to last 26 version and had to go to version proir to this before tools workedproperly. Any solutions without not installing further updates?
