Photoshop

Currently I have both, Photoshop v 26.11.2 and Photoshop v 27.1.0 (on my 2020 iMac - OS 15.7.2). I would like to uninstall the older version (26.11.2) but many sources have indicated if you merely use the "Uninstall Photoshop" application to uninstall, this will leave hndreds of related files/folders remaining on my system drive. On this same subject, I also have Lightroom (NOT Lightroom Classic) - just Lightroom v 9.0. (frankly I never use Lightroom and consider it nothing more than Adobe Camera RAW. I do, however, have both versions of Adobe Bridge, Bridge v 15.1.2 and Bridge v 16.0.0 and would like to get rid of the older version. I assume ACR is "built into" Photoshop and most current version of ACR will remain even after one unistalls the older version of Photoshop............but a verification of this would be nice. Please, please - anyone replying please explain in Apple Mac "language" - not a PC. Thank you.

Wacom right click doesn't work is it a problem on the wacom side or compatibility problem with Photoshop or Windows 11 .. that is the question...When Wacom Windows ink is checked. The right click, stop working. No matter if it's with Pen 2 or Pen 3.If I uncheck Windows Ink(wacom center), of course I loose pen pressure, but right click work as it's supposed to...If I uncheck windows ink, and insert : PSUserConfig.txt(Usesystemstylus0) in photoshop setting folder.Pen pressure is back , also the right clicPhotoshop 26.11.2Wacom Intuos Pro(2025)Wacom Cinti 16"Nvidia RTX 4080all driver up to date.Any Idea, solution will be appreciated.thanks

I'm new to this so please bare with me!I have a photo of an index card that has a handwritten recipe on it. On the card there is extra art/lines on it that I want to remove from the photo. Ultimately I would like to have nothing in the photo except the hand writing. Are there any easy or not easy ways to achieve this. I have come close to removing everything but was unable to remove the lines the handwritting is on. Any help would be great! Thank you!!

Not happy with Photoshop 27.1.0.  It has changed the font management completely.  I much preferred the previous system where there was just a dropdown list that was linked to my Font Book.  Now there are categories of fonts to choose from and they don't appear to be showing my list of fonts (lovingly gathered over the last 20+ years)  The search function doesn't work.  Gives no results at all and the list disappears!  Is this just change for changes sake?  ‘If it aint’ broke then don’t fix it!’ 

When trying to use tools on a mask it tuns to a hand on PS and will not affect it.   I've check all the obvious from restarting, changing the settings, restarting everything and reinstalling and trying older version of PS.  Not to mention using other keyboards.  Tried turning off the GPU too.  The tools work fine on the thumbnail.   IMac M116GB memory running Tahoe 1Graphics   Apple 0x106B

I know I was able to do this before, but:I need to crop an image to a certain aspect ratio, but also need to change the proportions by unchecking 'constrain proportions.'If I crop first, I can't seem to further edit the image; even if I uncheck 'delete cropped pixels', to fit the image into this new crop, it seems the deleted pixels are not available anymore.Is there a way to do this without going back and forth to check if the crop size is correct?

I just installed 12 plugins from the Market place. (The installations went well, and Market place says that they are all installed).I started up photoshop and saw the plugins under the plugin panel.I shutdown Photoshop to work on something else but when I started it up again, the panel was greyed out.Even the plug-in I had installed previously was greyed out.Under settings/plugins all the options are checked. I am using RGB and 8 bit color, (on article said cmyk and 16 bit color would cause the panel to grey out)also, Photoshop is installed in the default location, ( another article I read  suggested plugins had issues when phoshop was installed on an external SSD)My system is an iMac 4 (Apple Silicon). The OS is Tahoe 26.1.I'm really stuck at the moment. there are a bunch of layer mask plugins I need to use and none of them are availble...Any help would be super helpful!

Why eye dropper tool shows like this? 

hi guys ive been having major issues with the scratch disk full error, ive looked through all the advice and tutorials on how to fix this issue. nothings worked ive cleared up storgae ive given it a new disk to use but photoshop still says its full and doesnt even recognise the new disk. ive finally got it to open photoshop however it wont let me edit images past the camera raw filter, ill click open then the error pops up again. please help me.

What puzzled me all along was:There's no option to “save to original directory” or “save to current directory.”Recently discovered another bug in PS 2026:For example, my image is: D:\\bb\\a1.jpgI recorded resizing it and saving to: D:\\bb\\00\\The first result was correct: D:\\bb\\00\\a1.jpg.But the second time, I opened D:\\ee\\a2.jpgThen I double-clicked the “Save” action in the workflow, intending to change the save path to: D:\\ee\\00\\a2.jpgInstead, it directly saved as: D:\\bb\\00.jpgInstead of: D:\\ee\\00\\a2.jpg Strange 00.jpg

Hi there I would love to have a notification when a linked smart object in photoshop is updated.A bit like when in illustrator or indesign. The only place where you can see that a linked smart object in photoshop needs to be updated is the tiny icon on the layer pallet (see attached) If I am working with a linked smart object and I have the main files open and adjust the linked smart object everything gets updated automaticly. But If I change it and one of the main files was not open it stays unupdated. No problem there and still the same a with illustartor and indesign. But: once I open one of the main files I don't get a notification that there is a linked smart object in the main file that needs to be updated. There is only a really tiny icon which tells the file needs an update. It is easy to overlook and therefore I think it would be really nice if you can make a notification wich tells there is an adjusted linked smart object in your file that needs to be updated. Same

Im getting an error code when trying to increase the leading in a photoshop document. "A value between 0.00 point and 77.52 Points is required. Closest value inserted." I have deleted all my preferences and reset my font cache. I have also tried reverting back to v26 and the issue still remains.  I need help!

Remove Tool crashes in version 27.1.0 with NVIDIA GTX 1650. Works fine in 26.11.2 LTS. Tested with GPU acceleration both on and off.

An image generated with some of the in Adobe Firefly models was upscaled in photoshop (Topaz) to the maximum allowed. My image now measures 3584x4800, good quality, but still not large enough for a 100x150 cm print.I could use Photoshop to enlarge the image and then apply an unsharp mask to restore some detail, but I'd like your opinion first.

Hi guys!It's weeks I can't align pictures in photoshop. I usually take pictures with a tripod to avoid vibrations, but in any case that workflow normally creates some disalligned images. I used to use the Modify > Align levels option. Since weeks ago unfortunately the aligning method doesn't seems to give nice results. I mean, before the process the levels are quite aligned, after the process they loose their positions and increase their differences instead of decreasing it.The image attached shows a moment just after the automatic aligning process. I though it was a bug problem connected with Photoshop 2025 but It looks identical in the 2026 version.Do you have any advices?
