Photoshop

I start a selection using lasso then hit spacebar to temporarily switch to the hand/pan tool and it doesn't work. It switches to the hand icon but the image doesn't pan. I'm using the latest Photoshop and have updated my graphic card drivers. Scrubby zoom doesn't work mid-lasso either, though it will zoom in and out with a click. Maybe a related issue is that when panning an image with the crop tool, the image is jerky/glitchy and not smooth. I've never had these issues before. I checked my performance settings and everything seems fine. Suggestions appreciated. Thank you!

Since updating to Photoshop 26.4.1, the app crashes consistently after about a minute of use. It doesn’t matter what I’m doing — whether it's editing an image or just navigating through menus, it freezes and closes unexpectedly.I’ve already tried:Restarting my computerResetting Photoshop PreferencesReinstalling the appDisabling third-party pluginsNothing has helped so far. I've been using Photoshop since the 1990's and the Save For Web function is critical to my work. For several years now this was made a "legacy" function, thus I use the Alt + Shift + Ctrl + S keys to "export" for web.Last week this worked fine, today nothing happens when I either use those keys or select the File > Export > Save for Web (Legacy) function.This is not good. Hey there, firstly I appreciate your time both in reading and responding to this post. I've been working in Photoshop since 2007 and I'd like to impart my knowledge to either complete beginners or slightly more advanced users. Is there a demand for this sort of thing? Would you or anyone you know see any value in this? I'd like to do it for free but also have the option for people to donate if they want to. I'd appreciate any kind of feedback here 😊 As a side note, I'm also equally as skilled in using Illustrator.

I set windows 11 Display scale to 250% for a large 4K cintiq display, but unlike most photographers or designers, I require the extreme opposite for the fastest art workflow possible, I require photoshop to open at 100% on any display, regardless of UI scale % set, the more space I have for the canvas to paint and texture the better for me, at the same time, I require to see as many brushes and layers I can possibly get, I'd settle for  - 200% (microscopic levels of UI sizes) but as it is, I cannot force photoshop to even open at 100% without setting the entire windows UI at 100%, I tried the usual - override high DPI scaling behaviour scaling performed by "application" and set photoshop UI settings to 100% UI font size to "small" nada, nothing! nothing worked, photoshop opens at 250%.Is there anyone out there that got photoshop to launch at 100% even if windows is set at 150% or 250 and how?I know is probably not do-able since everyone else keeps complaining that photoshop's UI i

I don't suppose there's an option in Photoshop to get paths to move as they used to?Like a legacy option? Rather than the annoying feature when if you click near a point and handle Photoshop decides to move the point and rotate/change the handles as you move, rather than just the path point, if you get my point.  

Hi!Some serious frustration that I have, on a very consistent basis, been dealing with when using Adobe's Generate Fill function within Adobe Photoshop. Sometimes I get very picky customers that choose their own outfits. This particular customer kept asking me to take the photo at a lower angle. He felt that it (straight on) was too high. He then started to to notice that his eyes were squinted. I informed him that having the camera angle low and him looking DOWN at the camera naturally squints the eyes, hence why we have the camera straight on or slightly higher and have them tilt the chin down. That position naturally OPENS the eyes. Anyways, after several outfit changes at his desired camera angle we changed back and took a couple of photos in the outfits of his choosing that he decided he liked really well. Olá Adobers,Estou com um problema no Camera Raw, quando eu importo uma foto ou tento usar filter.Eu clico e parece como se ele abrisse em outro monitor, porém não estou com 2 monitores.Eu digo que ele aparenta abrir em outro local, pois após clicar no filtro para abrir, por exemplo, o photoshop fica ainda na tela, mas não consigo clicar em nada, parece que a janela do filtro está aberta em outro local da tela e eu não encontro ou vejo. Eu sei que está aberta, pois após usar o ESC ou o ENTER o Photoshop volta ao normal, como se eu tivesse encerrado a tela do filtro.Podem me ajudar?

I'm running Photoshop 2025 (26.22.0) on a Silicon Mac running Sequoia.Also running latest Beta.Both suddenly went sour when I tried to use any of the adjustable tools. All of them.Stamp tool, spot healing brush tool, all of them.  They stopped changing size and just remained as crosshairs.  And yes, I did look at the settings first.  Finally, after a bit of a struggle, Chat GPT gave me this workaround:  Close Photoshop1. create a plain text file:  NativeCanvas=0  and save it.2. open~/Library/Preferences/Adobe Photoshop 2025 Settings3. Drag that text file in and name it: PSUserConfig.txtGot my cursors back.

For the past year I have struggled with lag when using the zoom tool, brush tool and resizing my brush (GPU related actions) on my Windows 11 RTX 4090 Laptop. Disabling the GPU in Preferences fixed the brush tool issues, but obviously removed scrubby zoom, so even though I couldn't settle on using Photoshop like that, I could at least pinpoint that the issue was in fact related to the GPU. Throughout multiple remote sessions with Adobe Customer Support agents, I have tried:- Resetting all preferences, clean reinstalling Photoshop- Reinstalling and trying different NVIDIA drivers- Assigning Photoshop.exe and sniffer.exe to the NVIDIA GPU in the NVIDIA Control Panel- Doing the same in the Windows Graphics SettingsThe only solution I was provided with was to use Photoshop v22.2, as any version beyond that one had the above mentioned problem. I followed a tutorial with curves and the curves eyedroppers that made me go into properties and change some settings. Specifically the black eyedropper settings. Ever since then every time I use the black eyedropper in levels or curves or if I use auto color, auto contrast or auto-tone my whole image will turn white.  Is there a way to reset these options in photoshop?If I delete photoshop and reinstall will photoshop reset to its original settings?I'm so frustrated with this. I can't find the tutorial I followed either so as to undo whatever it said I had to do.... 

I have a huge issue with PS, i normally use LR but every now and then i select a photo and use "Open as layer" in PS. 99.999999% when i am done i press save. The photo will now open in LR.But sometimes, like now ! the bloody photo just disapears from the face of earth. If i search for the photo in LR, nope, no photo by that name. Can someone please explain (if you know) why it does like this and if the photo is saved, where is it ? (18sex from trashing computer, camera, keyboard, mouse and god knows what that comes in my way, and i cant afford that so ...)

Is there a way to disable all AI tools in my photoshop? AI is damaging the art industry, destroying jobs, bad for the environment, lacks heart, and I want it gone. I hate these pop-ups telling me to try AI. My art and books (I'm an author too) have both been scraped by AI systems, and I'm about to lose my mind seeing this slop everywhere.And don't call AI art; a judge already decided it lacks human authorship. Can't believe Adobe betrayed artists like this.

Chat GPT  told me so  but I am not sure if it's true .For example  I want to do height map erosion  by slope blur  in sbsar on top of smart object.   Can I have red channel as main  height input , the green as a slope  and blue as intensity ?  My guess SBSAR on top of a layer can't get an access to other layers  but perhaps can split RGBA into 4 grayscale ones inside a SBSAR, right?  Should it work ?      I just want some easy to use and convenient tool  with half decent manual drawing tools  that neither Designer nor Sampler  seems never going to have.    And this not so recent but still a novelty  SBSAR support in Photoshop  + chatGPT scripting  that started to actually work in Photoshop  vs  former two   makes  sort of great hope for  Photoshop again.   

Why don't you bring the Ai (Adobe Illustrator) new doc social media template sizes into Photoshop? Is there a way to bring this file into Photoshop's settings folder (in AppData): "C:\Users\X\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Adobe Illustrator 29 Settings\en_US\x64\New DocumentProfiles\Social.ai"Illy uses an Ai file as a template (for new doc sizes), but Ps uses a single "New Doc Sizes.json" file for it.  

I am using a "dissolve" layer set at say 10% opacity. When I  create a visible stamp layer the dissolve layer effects are no longer visible.  I am using the recent Photoshop Beta version 27.0.1. I tried using the file in a the most recent photoshop version and the same happens.  What do I need to do have the effects saved to the file and visible???

Good day all. Im hoping someone can assist me with this issue and I will be eternally grateful. I recently updated to the latest version of Photoshop(V26.11) and whenever I try to create a new document this is exactly how the screen pops up and I am unable to select anything. If anyone has a solution to this problem I will be so grateful as this is hampering my workflow currently.
