Photoshop

Hi, I just started animating with photoshop and I was wondering if there was a way to only activate the onion skin mode on specific layers? When I activate it, it always shows all layers and I couldn't figure anything out in the options either.

So I just updated from 24.0 to 24.5 and I am immediately having issues with being able to hold the spacebar to pan while I work. Previously if I hold space I could click and drag to pan, and then when I let go of the mouse it would stop panning. Now however it seems that if I let go it will continue to pan until I click again once or twice. This is agitating and is slowing down my workflow.I do not have gestures, flick panning, or overflow enabled and this is still happening.I'm using windows 10 build 19044.2965

Photoshop version v 26.11 was working fine until 1 week ago, when it suddenly wouldn't open, so I uninstalled (select keep pref and delete old versions(none were installed) ) and then I get this issie : I tried everything I found online but nothing worksAdobeCreativeCloudCleanerTool didn't solve the problembiggest issue is that I am unable to manually delete the Photoshop folder even in safe modethe only version that I was able to finally install was v 25.12.4please help asapps. I'm on windows 11

I need some help, i just trying to open my photoshop but everytime, it is opening and closing/crashing, but, if i try to use photoshop beta it is working perfectly fineSome things i already tried- Clean preferences and Creative cloud cleaner- update my graphics cards- set the photoshop to admin preferences- unistall and install a previous version- reinstall everything, adobe apps, etcI can't figure out what is happening.

Hello, I am experiencing a very annoying colour shift in my photos after Airdropping them from my Apple Macbook (Air 2023) to my Apple Iphone 14 Pro. After playing around it seems there is a colour tint shift towards a green tint. Adding some Magenta back into the image using the in-Iphone Image Editor brings it someway back but its still not perfect. There could be slight shift in White Balance too. To be specific I am working with 16-Bit files in Photoshop on Macbook Air with colour profile: LCD. I am exporting at PNG24 or JPEG 100% (Tried both) with both colour space settings "Convert to SRGB" and "Embed Colour Profile" ticked. Airdropping to Iphone 14 Pro. On both Mac and Iphone I have True Tone and Auto-Brightness turned off. Thinking its an export or colour space issue i tried searching online and found to my amazement this topic has been raised hundreds of times across various platforms (Apple Community, Adobe Community, Photoshop Community) yet no commu

DearIn Adobe Photoshop 2025 there a menu name Window. Submenu is Channels. Inside of channel menu there 4 sub menu. CMYK section Cyan = Crtl+2, Magenta = Crtl+4, Yellow = Crtl+5, Black = Crtl+6. Whenever I resize text, my entire pc crashes completely, I have tried practically every troubleshooting attempt under the sun thanks to copilot. I have narrowed it down to photoshop's text rendering engine. I have deleted font caches, disabled the graphics processor, editing preference, put my preferences to default, changed scratch disks. Moved the file being worked on to a different drive, looked at task manager seeing that it was whatever disk that had the file on it go to 100% whenever it crashes. Sometimes it wont crash, itll freeze. I can see on my 2nd monitor the movements of task manager still active and my live wallpaper still moving. I made another post before this and the person responded once asking for the version then never responded after that so here it is again.down below is one of the UXPlogs, and my photoshopp info. it can also be downloaded for convienence:  If this doesnt get solved im getting rid of my photoshop subscription. 

My Photoshop (version 26.1.1) won’t start on Windows. I’ve tried everything, reinstalling, installing older versions, updating drivers and Windows, etc. But nothing works. I really need help!

I am having a bunch of problems out of the blue: 1. There is a weird visualization issue on the right and bottom of the imported image when you go close to those areas.  2. The brush does not paint where I want, it paints many pixels on the left.  3. I can;t access some of the tabs on the menu as the mause is like pointing on the left.  I can solve the 2 and 3 issues by setting my screen to 100% on the windows display settings. The problem is that I have a 4K window so if I do that, anything on my pc is very tiny and I can't work like that. I can also solve the 1 issue by unclick Using Graphic Processor on the preferences but that creates a nasty lag and problems with zooms. Does anyone have a solution for this?Thanks!

I'm having problems with the 3DConnexion driver preventing Photoshop from launching and wonder whether anyone has experience this and found a fix? This driver is for the 3dConnexion spcae mouse (which i use with Fusion360). With the driver installed Photoshop hangs (becomes unresponsive) at the 'loading preferences' stage. Uninstalling the 3DC driver fixes the issue. I've tried unintsalling and reinstalling photoshop and ditching the preferences file too - but no luck.  3DConnexion can't replicae the issue. 🙁 I'm running a Mac Pro M2 Ultra, Tahoe 26.0.1 and the latest versions of all CC apps. Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.

Hello, Recently got a cintiq. As I am right handed, when i open the Brush menu using a pen button, it opens rightwards, which is directly under my hand. Is there any way, or a script, to make the menu pop out to the left?

I'm not sure if I'm missing something or if this isn't (yet) a feature.When working with multiple gradients on a layer, I'm only able to edit the last one.Being able to edit it at all is great but this feature would be even better if I could switch to another gradient and edit this one. Especially for masks this would be a huge help.

I mainly use adobe illus, and when you save a file there you can "Save as" and it prompts you with a Save to cloud or save locally. Can't we have the same features in Photoshop especially i don't use adobe bridge at all

I'm working with a new hire. I'm on a Mac, he's on a PC. He's using PS ver. 26.11.0. Steps:1. Open a PS image2. Create an Alpha Channel (white box on a black field)3. Select the alpha channel (so you see marching ants)4. Inverse the selection - doesn't reflect the inverse with the marching ants-they stay the same This was driving me crazy until we went back to the RGB channel and copied the image and pasted it into another document of the same size. Apparently, the feature is working as expected but the marching ants aren't showing the "actual" selected area. It still "looks" like the original selected area is active but after using Inverse, it has selected what you would expect. This sounds confusing.  

Posting this because it was a simple thing but I couldn't figure out what was happening after the Photoshop 2020 update. I was trying to draw a rectangle shape by dragging my mouse starting from the top left corner, but it would go wonky and it was hard to draw.   Atfer selecting the rectangle tool under shape selections I went to the "settings" looking icon on the top toolbar. Under Path Options I unticked the one that said "From Center." Gee. I wonder who made that a default behavior. Hope this helps someone.   {Thread renamed by moderator}

Hello!I'm about to go crazy. I have a document with LOTS of text on it. Every time I try to use the type tool to add new text, it selects another layer's text if I am anywhere near it on the screen. I want to turn that off. As it stands right now, I have to find a "clear spot", click with the text tool cursor, type my new text, then move it into place. Is there some way for me to turn that off? I've looked in Photoshop's settings and searched the internet and I can't find anything about this problem.I'm running Windows 11 and Photoshop 26.11.0.Please help.

Hi,I'm using Adobe Photoshop 22.4.2 on Windows 10 64bits. I noticed an issue with the text layer. When editing the text and pressing Enter (text one or number one), Photoshop is validating the text edit on my layer and not performing a carriage return as it should do by default. I tried several shortcuts combinaisons, without being able to perform a text carriage return in the app. I tested on Adobe Illustrator and it's working correctly as expected.I uninstalled, downgraded to v22.0, reset the user preferences, all without success. I tested on my mac, same version and it's working fine. The issue is only with the version I have on Windows.Thank you in advance for your help.Pierre

After several "try and error" stuff I will try to explain maý problem.It's always the same, during the starting window, the app crashes. It's almost during the note "Speicher bemessen", but not always. So I tried to switch back to 26.10, it worked during the first start, second start was not possible. So I deinstalled this version and tried that also with 26.0 and after that try with the beta version. I updated the windows (25H2), I updated the GPU driver, I deactivated the GPU (NVIDIA ge-force 3070 notebook), I deactivated windows defender, I unsigned creative cloud and signes in once again, I deinstalled all photoshop versions and the creative cloud and installed everything new. I tried with deleted the default settings in start mode, I tried to jump over third party plugins, start as admin. Nothing helps. However after (it

Hi everyone, I’m working on a complex sport kit design in Photoshop – a large master PSD with many embedded Smart Objects (collar, sleeves, socks, trims, etc.). Each Smart Object, when opened, contains a layer including a Solid Color Fill layer that defines its base color (e.g. “BaseColor”, “TrimColor”, etc.). Whenever I need to change the main kit color, I have to manually open every single Smart Object, recolor its Solid Color layer, save, close, and repeat, which is very time-consuming as there is some 25+ different elements. I’m looking for a way to recolor either all or a group of those internal Solid Color layers globally, even though they’re inside embedded Smart Objects. Linked Smart Objects aren’t an option, and global adjustment layers or Variables don’t work because each part has its own local lighting and blending. Is there any way – either natively or via scripting – to apply a color change across all embedded Smart Objects while preserving their e

I am one of the Brother Printer users who found that in the last week of trying to use the Photoshop app (auto-updated as it is running on a CC subscription), I go to print and the document & print window force close w/ no crash notice. On checking the printer queue, the request never makes it to the actual printer. (I have never had this issue before and I have been a photoshop user for around 25 years, back when you could get it on a CD-ROM. I need my files to print to color-check before going to press.) Hello everybody,  I have a question for a specific issue:- I installed PS, LRc, Bridge etc. on my PC Windows- everything is working fine, no problem at all- but free spece on my C drive is almost full, because (I do not remember why ...) I installed Adobe applications on drive C, where is working operating system too- I have a second partition D which has a lot of free space, so I would move all adobe applications I have from C to DQuestions:1) how can I do that? I think I should delete everyting from disk C and reinstall everything on drive D, correct?2) if I do that, what is the starting page from which I reinstall everything?
