I am trying to change the setting on my line tool arrow option to be a percentage of the line vs. just a pixel setting, but PS won't allow it. This is critical, because I have lines of different lengths and widths, and the arrowhead needs to be responsive based on the line it is drawn with.
Hi. The histogram shown in the Histogram panel and Curves & Levels UI is incorrect for 32-bit images. The histogram is shifted right. I see this in Ps 26.8.1 and recent prior versions. The shifted histogram makes it much harder to use Curves because the plotted histogram doesn't relate to the curves I make. The curves I make are being applied correctly in compositing (thankfully!). Below is a simple example with a solid gray layer, having an RGB value of [0.1, 0.1, 0.1]. The direct conversion to 8-bit would be [26, 26, 26]. The Info panel is correct: The Histogram and Curves panels show incorrect histograms, showing an 8-bit value of 89 instead of 26. Various 32-bit color values I have tried seem to show 8-bit histogram values that are being gamma-converted to gamma 2.2. For this example having a 32-bit color value of [0.1, 0.1, 0.1]:(0.1 ^ (1 / 2.2)) * 255 = 90.48Here the converted value of 90.48 is close to the value 89 shown in the histogram. I tri
Hi. Photoshop closes automatically after freezing for a few minutes. It's very annoying to have to save your work every 2 minutes in case it happens again. I thought that with today's update it would be solved, but no. I got confused and I have not saved the work and I have lost half an hour of work. Attached system information.
The 'Enable Gestures' option allows users to use trackpad gestures like 'Two-finger move' for panning and 'Pinch in/out' for zooming in and out. However, if you enable the 'Zoom with Scroll Wheel' option, the gestures start to malfunction. The 'Two-finger move (up/down)' gesture, instead of panning, begins to zoom the image in and out. Essentially, both gestures end up performing the zoom function when using a trackpad. Photoshop v25.9.1 macOS v12.7.6
Issue: In Photoshop (32-bit mode), the 32-Bit Preview Options feature does not behave as expected. When adjustments are made in the 32-Bit Preview Options (e.g., adjusting Exposure, Gamma, or Preview Mode), the changes are reflected only in the Navigator Panel, but not in the Main Workspace Display. Photoshop version 26.2.0 20241207.r.140 bc85906 arm64OS: Mac OS 14.6.1 Steps to Reproduce: 1.Open a 32-bit image in Photoshop. 2.Go to View > 32-Bit Preview Options. 3.Adjust the Exposure or Gamma values. 4.Observe the effect in the Navigator Panel. 5.Notice that the Main Workspace Display remains unaffected.
Explain why the latest version of Adobe Photoshop made changes that worsened the display of the curves panel interface? The curve graph has become much smaller, why is this? To make the curves look bigger, I need to scale the panel, but in that case there is an empty space.Adobe Photoshop Version: 26.8.0 20250611.r.16System: Mac OS 15.5.0System architecture: Apple M2 Max
App Version: Adobe Photoshop 26.6 Platform/OS: macOS Sequoia 15.3.2 (MacBook Pro M2 Max) Steps to Reproduce: Open an image. Use the Color Sampler Tool to place a point for monitoring color values. Add a Hue/Saturation adjustment layer. Click and hold the Saturation or Lightness slider and move it with the mouse. Observe the Info panel values for the sampled point.Expected Result:The Info panel should update color values live and continuously as the slider is being moved (without releasing the mouse button), just like in previous Photoshop versions. Actual Result:The Info panel does not update during the slider movement. Values only update after the mouse button is released. This behavior is not present in other adjustment layers like Brightness/Contrast, where the Info panel updates in real time as expected. Why this matters:This regression breaks real-time feedback during color correction, making it impossible to adjust Hue/Saturation accurately based on sampled values. Live In
Hi ...again,Today I have the following problem:I have a smartobject with smartfilter and have to transform it freely (Control+T). Nothing special, works like always. But the smartobject has a mask on the smartfilter. This mask is not transformed at all. It sticks on the right position when I move the object, but it refuses to do anything while the layer is tranformed. Since PS CC (19.1.4) on PC is a big collection of bugs, I can't decide if its another bug, just adobe's ignorance for usability, or if there is an option I have missed. This action is also totally ignored in adobes smartfilter-tutorial (I wonder why... ;D ). Turning the smartobject into a new smartobject is not an option since the new smartobject is calculated from the size of the inner object and not from the original source anymore. Help, ideas or links to solutions would be very welcome! thxMy system: PC AMD A8 5600K, 8GB RAM, Nvidia Quadro P400, win10pro 64bit, PS Version 19.1.4, no addons.
My photoshop is getting stuck whenever I try to use the camera raw filter; nothing opens up after I click on it, and I can't even close my photoshop. everything gets stuck and a sound like a notification comes up, but still, nothing shows up
Gradient under "foreground to background" or "foreground to transparent" option did not automatically follow when i update the foreground colour (it should). I have to each and every time manually click to update, this does not happen to older version of photoshop. Version: Photoshop 26.7 Opertating System: MacOS Sequoia 15.5

Hi everyone, since I bought a new MacBook, I installed the latest version of Photoshop, and the "Merge a copy of all visible layers into target layer" action with the famous Command, Option, Shift + E stopped working. It still works perfectly on my other iMac, and it also worked on my previous MacBook, but on my new MacBook, when I press the usual keys, nothing happens. I installed and uninstalled. I spoke to support (they told me the craziest things, like my plan didn't access that keyboard option, haha).I installed an older version. NOTHING. All the other keyboard shortcuts work, except for this one. I read in another post that they talk about another app that could be hijacking my keyboard shortcuts, but I booted into Safe Mode and it doesn't work either. What do you think it could be? I'm not the only person this happens to, I've spoken to other colleagues (I'm a photographer) and they're having the same problem. This option isn't in the menu to select it, is it? Any i
I created a video file using Photoshop 22. The PSD file itself states: Adobe Photoshop 22.3 (Windows) It is a fairly simple file that uses an external video source file (ProRes converted professionally from an 8mm film with no audio) and an MP3 for background music. I just tried to open this file in Photoshop 2025 and the beta which is also installed on this PC. The file opens without any error message, however: Sometimes the file opens without the video resource at all, other times it opens the video file but when I play it or render the video it shows only the first frame of each section (I cut the video to pieces as I needed to apply different filtering to each section). It opens without the audio file, meaning when I play the video in Photoshop or play the rendered MP4 it's muted. Stuff I did to try and figure it out: Opened the PSD in a hex editor to confirm I didn't move files (I didn't, the relative paths are the same as the files) Converted the same source
I kindly request assistance with fixing an issue with artboards in Photoshop. They cannot be copied by dragging with the mouse or using the 'plus' icon. It always gets stuck, and it takes an extremely long time. The last 'usable' version was 25.7; this bug appears in all subsequent versions and significantly slows down my workflow. 😞 System: Mac mini M2 Pro, 16 GB RAM, Ventura 13.3.1 Older, und not resolved thread is here: https://community.adobe.com/t5/photoshop-ecosystem-discussions/photoshop-25-9-hangs-when-moving-artboard/m-p/14759174#M822076
iPad 6.1.1 was released today. Can someone please explain as these features do not work? - A toggle to enable/disable clipped adjustments layers when creating them - New ways to view your selections (red overlay, black/white and others) in Select Area
Hi! This is my first time having such a problem, I can't seem to find my brushes when i want to import them. They appear no problem when i look into my folder but once i am typing .abr (so it shows them all no matter how old) it doesn't show anything. Yet, they are still there in my folders. I am on the latest version of Photoshop (V.26) and the latest version of Mac OS (Sequoia 15.1.) Here are some screenshots to illustrate the problem (I put comments in between each of them for more explanation) : Because my U.I is in french I will provide explanation for each pictures. This one is me opening "Import brushes" This one is me showing that my brush file does exist whithin my finder files and I can open it as it shows, so far, no problem. And now here is the problem, as you can see, I searched in the search bar for ".abr" which is the format of photoshop brushes. But nothing comes up. Which means i
Files generated with the "Export As" function do not take into account their suffix when overwriting existing files, resulting in deletion of the wrong file, though no naming conflict exists. Scenario: Example.psd is a working file that requires exports in several sizes. In the "Export As" interface we export the original size to example.jpg Then we decide we'd like to also have a smaller variant so we export another file but this time select 0.5x in the Scale All section of the Export As interface. The export window shows the original file name without suffix, which creates a prima facie naming conflict. Actual result: The file example.jpg becomes deleted, and a new file called example.jpg@0.5x is created in its place. Expected result: Two files with different names and no prompt to overwrite since no naming conflict exists. Alternative expected result: Even if the argument is made that the OS platform can't predict the filename (based on it being added in multiple
Photoshop 26.7MacBook Air M2 16gb 8 core GPU, 8 core CPU, macOS 15.4.1Hello. My brush, dodge tool etc. starting flickering, This started suddenly on a previous version of Photoshop. It didn't fix itself when I updated to the latest version.I cant load video mp4 5mb.
Not sure if this is is part of the new 2019 PS 20.0.2 update - it didn't seems to bother me before but now, as i select a color adjustment layer within my Layers panel - i find that one of its properties value is automatically selected within the Properties panel (for instance selecting a Hue/Saturation layer will select its hue value; selecting a Color Balance layer will select its cyan/red value...). To deselect its Properties value i must ESC - before i can, for instance, change its opacity directly with keyboard shortcuts numbers - otherwise it would be modifying its value instead of its opacity... Having to ESC first si really bothering me. Any idea how i can change this preference?
I found a bug where a color change is being applied to a gradient, even when the user clicks cancel. To reproduce: - Create a new document - Create a shape layer (like a rectangle) - In the shape properties on the top left, change the fill to gradient - edit the gradient by changing one of the colors, but keep the color picker dialog open - the preview of the gradient on the shape changes as expected - when you click "Cancel" on the color picker, the new color is applied to the gradient anyway I would except that clicking "Cancel" in this dialog reverts to the previously used color. Here's a screenshot of the dialog: Using Windows 10, PS 26.7
I use the magic wand tool in the selection menu all the time to make images cleaner. This week I noticed that the tool is either completely gone or has been moved. Could you please let me know what I need to do to access it on the web version?
Reordering tabs in Photoshop seems a bit inconvenient. To change the order of the tabs you must not move the mouse cursor outside the tab area while holding the left mouse button. If you go outside the tab area, once you go back (while still holding the left mouse button) you can't change the tab order anymore. It seems a bit inconvenient to focus to keep the cursor in the small tab area to change the order of long tabs.
I've been trying to remove some objects from the BG, but this ANNOING message always pops up!HEY DEVS please solve this!
I tried doing the hands-on tutorial labeled "Use artboards to experiment with layouts" and discovered that it gets stuck at the sixth step. Nothing can progress the tutuorial, and restarting doesn't fix it. I attached an image to show where it gets stuck.
