Photoshop

Hi, I get the alert in the subject when I am trying to add an adjustment layer: Hue&Saturation on any layer in my document. There is nothingt but the layer mask panel in the properties panel and the contextual task bar decorated with the new colored circles shows only white empty circles. And if I click anything there I get this message. Everything is especially absurd because there is no smart object layer in these cases. I have tried this xxxxx-time. Any idea except rolling back to the old version? (This is PS 26.7 here on a Mac Pro with 90 GB RAM etc - a video editing machine.)Thanks ahead for suggestions.Regardsumit

My question concerns the application Photoshop. I had a graphic project that I had been working on for a long time. Today I opened it and the entire project has "disappeared" in the sense that all that is in the file is a black background. Can someone tell me if it can be restored or something?

Even after converting a layer to a smart object, smart filters do not appear underneath it. They are being applied, but I can't turn them on or off or edit them. When I finally got one to show, my Photoshop crashed, and even though it was saved, the smart filter that had previously shown up is gone. There is no drop-down indicator on the layer in the panel. How can I ensure that smart filters show up in the future, and is there a way to recover the ones that have already been applied?

I have an HP ENVY - 17t-ce100 with an NVIDIA GeForce MX250 that I recently upgraded to Windows 11. ACR will no longer run because is says that "Camera Raw requires graphics processor acceleration to edit photos."  to It worked under windows 10. I upgraded NVIDIA drivers from 526.47 to 552.22 (Win 11) with no luck.System>Display>Graphics>Default graphics settingsHardware-accelerated GPU Scheduling    OnOptimizations for windowed games          OnThere is nothing else to setThe only other graphics drivers areIntel® UHD GraphicsLAPDOCK DisplayLink USB DeviceWhich shouldn't be a factor.I can't get ACR to work under Windows 11 and it did before.Any Suggestions 

Hello, When I use "save as" its defaults to saving as JPEG 2000 and I have to manuelly click the drop down and select JPEG every time. Which is frustrating. I have seen previous posts about this with a fix but it no longer works.  File handeling - legacy, 8 bit channel, flat layers etc doesnt seem to fix the problem. Photoshop Version 26.4.1 - laptop Apple Mac Max M4  Cheers for any help in advance. 

When I use the brush tool in mask, it doesn't erase everything. And even at some points adds some of the image back in. I've looked up how to reset my brush but I don't see a setting option available in the brush settings and pressing shift + option +n hasn't worked either. I'm not sure what to do. In my image, you can see the words I'm trying to erase. Please give me really simple and clear instructions. I am not very good at Photoshop. Thanks in advance!

I cannot stand this vague censorship from the generative features. I'm an adult, I dont need adobe deciding what is too much and what isnt. what is even the point of giving us these tools if they are nerfed into being useless. I'm literally editing a photo of a gun the generative fill wont do a single thing to any aspect of the image because images of guns are too much for it and outside the guidelines. this is just so frustrating. At least Gimp is catching up and once there is a good stable diffusion plugin for it, photoshop will be completely obsolete

Hi everyone,I just got a new M4 MacMini (latest version of MacOs Sequoia), and because of the small internal SSD, I plugged in a an external SSD with much higher capacity.The internal SSD has a temporary Admin account (let's call it Account A), and the external drive has my admin user account (call it Account B) and contents from my old Mac, and a new user I setup for testing (Account C).While in each account using my CC account, I can use my purchased plug ins in Accounts A and C, but not in my main Account B. Here are screenshots of PS and CC from my Account B that show purchsed 3rd party plug ins, and how they're not showing up in PS. Again, not a problem in the temporary accounts (A & C) I setup in order to troubleshoot the issue.TIA.

Is it possible to have an boder-less artboard? That means if I placed an image bigger than the artboard dimension, it will automatically increase it's dimension.      

Hi,I’ve been experiencing a persistent issue with Photoshop (latest version as of June 2025) on my MacBook Pro 16" (2019, Intel) running macOS Sequoia 15.5.Every time I open a RAW file, edit it in Camera Raw, and then open it in Photoshop, the top menubar becomes inactive. I can't click on File, Edit, or any other menu item. Have  now Mac M4 and want to activate Photoshop CS 5 again

The title could be cleaner, but I ran out of allowed characeters.  😊Not sure if my camera make and model makes a difference to the answer, but I shoot in RAW with a Nikon P1000 which produces NRW files.  So, if I adjust the white balance of a photo in Adove Camera RAW, is that file in the same state as if the camera had shot the pic with the adjusted white balance?

I am using Photoshop v26.7.0 Mac os 15.4While using the remove tool on an empty layer, it is creating an unwanted patch on the edges of the image. HOW TO FIX IT?  And it is happening every time I use the remove tool. It is frustrating every time I need to select that area, then delete it and continue working. And also, the hue and saturation layer has a bug; creating a new hue layer doesn't show the properties, so it needs to restart always when this happens or reset the pref.

So I recently switch over to a new laptop, fresh out of the box windows 11, and redownloaded photoshop to get back to drawing. But I've encountered an incredibly irritating thing where my magic wand tool frequently has a delay when trying to select something. Is there any way to fix that? I have "use CPU turned off" Additionally and unrelated, I've also had issues where the screen "sticks" and has half of itself overlaying the current screen, or weirdly makes itself offset from where things actually are? Which sometimes happens while drawing and right where I am drawing, and is getting incredibly annoying. I'm not sure what's causing this, as this photoshop is a fresh install that's barely three weeks old. 

Hi, after I install my latest version Photoshop application, I find all the Photoshop default shortcut are cleared. I always use default shortcut during my work. I don't know how to recover the default shortcut.Please help me! I don't want to set the shortcut one-by-one base on my memory. Thank you so much!

I just spent about 1 hour painting a texture for my job.  I go to SAVE my file and the SAVE DIALOG is Blank.  I see that several older versions of PS have had this same issue over the years.  This is THE most important function of any software, period.   Why this continues to plague Adobe is beyond me.  I have deleted all prefs files.. I have rebooted several times.  Still there is no way to save a file.  I will try reinstalling.I'm sure this has something to do with CLOUD services glitching.  Users online recommend changing the preferences but there is no preference inside of Edit > Preferences > File Handling to switch from Default File Location > Creative Cloud TO On Your Computer.  Where is the preference?  This too is a blank area. Can anyone help me understand why my image looks completely different in camera raw? I'm fine with how it's shot, then I open it, it opens in camera raw, and looks terrible!! All blown out and contrasty!! And that's the way it stays when I open it in Photoshop. What's going on? I'm attaching a sample... Camera Raw is on the Left, Bridge view (and how it looked on the back of my camera), is on the Right.Shooting with a Nikon D700 and using the latest versions of PS and CR. Thanks!

When I use Apples developer font SF Pro in photoshop in Bold it turns into a cursive version, even when I try to change it back. In the weight box, it changes from Bold to Optical Size YAXS Weight-700 How do I fix this? It's basically impossible to use the bold version now.
