Photoshop

I'm really confused as to what happened here, just normal text for a community paper header I whipped up, and a rectangle shape, but I noticed it translated in the exported .png too. Even stranger, there's an alternate text version that is otherwise identical at the top that doesn't feature this degradation.  Not a huge upset to my design, just going to swap the text out in the other drafted version, but really curious as to why/how it happened???? [photo is of psd file not png export]

Hello,  Until yesterday, when I used crop/generative expand, the image would not be changed in any way. The only change was the filled area where I extended the crop. All of a sudden, a decent amount of the image is being distorted as well. How can I change back to where the original image is not altered in any way and only the cropped portion is added.  I read about adding layers, but I'm a novice and don't know how to do this. I tried, but couldn't figure it out.  Any help would greatly be appreciated.  Thank You

Photoshop is the lease intuitive program. Nobody wants jagged edges. With photoshop, you're going to get jagged edges. Idiotic. 

Hello, I'm using the latest PS update 26.7 but I'm not sure when this happened - before or after the update as I haven't used the software for about 2 weeks.When I open any image no matter how big or small and I go to the top "Image" menu and select "Image size" a pop-up window appears saying "Could not update smart object files because of a program error." What smart objects? I'm literally opening a simple image in PS and not doing anything else but wanting to resize it and this appears. It has never happened to me before so I'm not sure what to do about it. Image>Canvas size works but Image size doesn't.

Situation: ANY layered file, no matter the size or file type. TIFF, PSD, PSB hangs at 99% while saving for a very long time. Whether saving back to Lightroom or saving to ANY drive. It happens with files I've created from scratch, it happens with photos that come from Lightroom. My drives that I've tested: M.2 system drive, Samsung 850 Evo SSD, External G-Drive USB-C, NAS storage system. Hi, Does anyone know how I can disable these 'Discover' pop up thats are now appearing in Photoshop please? I had a very simple task to do in Photoshop, make an image greyscale, close image. As soon as I converted the image a video popup started playing square in the middle of the screen, over my image telling me how I can rotate the canvas and not my head. Shortly after im getting some Kickstart your Project in the corner of my screen as attached image.  Is there a way to turn off all these 'helpful' tutorials? I have rich tool tips turned off but this seems to be a different annoyance. These pop ups have literally just delayed me working for 15 minutes trying to find a way to disable them.  Thanks.

HiIve only just noticed that when in Camera Raw Filter from photoshop (24.0.0) when i look at the highlight clipping (red) its not actually using 255,255,255 is pure white for clipping like i assumed. I know this as i have a colour on the screen which is 250,251,255 and CFR is telling me this is highlight clipped. I only need to know pure 255,255,255 for clipping, how can i change this?No wonder when i setup Photoshop to show clipping for pure white, the results were different to CRF>Hope that makes sence, Thanks for any explaination. 

Hello!I’m using Photoshop on iPad (latest version) with Apple Pencil 1 and iPad 10th gen.In all other apps like Procreate and Notes, everything works perfectly.But in Photoshop, when I draw, the line is visible only after I lift the Pencil, not during the stroke.I already tried reinstalling the app, switching brushes, resetting settings, turning off finger touch, and restarting the iPad.Please help!

Hi all, I have had this issue before, and i didn't figure out how to fix it, i just went t a different software, but I am having issues with layer masks. I am using photoshop on the web, and when I apply a layer mask (in this case I hit remove background and that was literally it. open the file, open another file to use as the new background. remove background on first picture. bam. not good) then it becomes extremely pixelated in some places. Not all of the mask even!  there is no way to get rid of it with the add/subract from layer mask, and I am not experienced enough to try other work flows. My laptop struggles to run the app version, hence why I am on the web-based one, but when I do use the app it has never had any of these issues (other then occassionally making my computer crash out) I am using microsoft edge if that makes any difference. The first picture below shows how the layer mask has come out. So I receive templates from someone using PS CC 2021, same as me, Adobe Fonts, same as me, working on Mac, same as me, but everytime I click the text to edit, it changes it's style, I can't find a workaround for this problem and is driving me crazy, here's an example, original on the left, how it looks as soon as I click on it on the right. Hi,So I've been trying to do a mockup and when I went to use the displacement tool to apply my displacement map, I couldn't? The tool itself is there, but I not able to apply the map. Have somebody else dealt with this problem?FYI, I use Photoshop CC 2025, in BrazilThis is what the window for displace looks like now, so many things are missing  :')If anybody has a solution for this I would be immensely grateful!  

Click & drag delay in Photoshop when using Huion Kamvas display tablet.Using Windows 10, PS 2025, Huion Kamvas Plus 22" (GS2202).Drawing works fine, but when I try to do the following actions there is a significant delay: - Using sliders such as hue/saturation. When I click & drag the slider to make a subtle change, it does nothing. But when I drag it out really far, it starts working. - Using transform tool. When I click & drag the edge of the transform box to make a subtle change, it does nothing. But when I drag it out really far, it starts working. - When I try to turn on/off layers too quickly, it will turn off/on multiple layers at once.  This is a weird one. As you can imagine, as an artist these issues really impede my process! Any tips or suggestions? Thank You -M-

I cannot launch Adobe Photoshop CC2018 and receive this pop up message: "Adobe Application Manager, required to start your trial, is missing or damaged. Please download a new copy of Adobe Application Manager fromhttp://www.adobe.com/go/applicationmanager." I'm using a MacBook Pro M1 Max running 15.2. Hi,  I have a new laptop and an old version of Photoshop on my PC.    I would like to download the newest version of Photoshop, but I would prefer to download it to an external hard drive instead of directly onto my new HP laptop so that it won't take up so much space. Will Photoshop work if I download it onto an external storage drive?  And if so, how do I actually do this? Thanks for your help. saranee

My photos now appear to have a slider on the right no matter what percentage I am zoomed in on. I do not find this helpful when working on images. Sliding it up or down shows the black workspace which is beyond the image size. Is there a way to turn this off? Thank you.

For several versions now in Photoshop/Bridge, when you open photos in the Camera Raw browser/editor, and select several image from the film strip to "Merge to HDR", it opens up the HDR Merge Preview screen like normal, but if you use the Enter key to quickly select the defaulted "Merge..." button, it will then open the normal "Save" dialog but get stuck in a loop when you click on Save.  It will go away and pop up again asking you to save repeatedly, sometimes crashing the program.  I have to hit Save one time, then the next time it pops up hit Cancel in order for it to proceed like normal and take me back to the Camera Raw editor so I can edit the new HDR file.

Vista 64bit / CS4 / LR2 / Epson 2200 & HP 970Cse Printers Every other week or so, I get the error message "Before you can perform printer-related . . . . you need to install a printer". In this case, I made a good number of prints yesterday without a problem, now this morning, the error message? Un-installing and reinstalling my printers on a regular basis is a real efficiency killer, but seems to work. By the way, while I am having this problem with CS4, I can print with LR2 and all other programs. Help with a cause, and coming up a solution will be greatly appreciated - Happy Holidays, Bob

Photoshop 2025 Quick export as PNG has stopped working for exporting masked subjects.  It  worked the last time I used it, some days ago.   Today it is not working.   Resetting photoshop did not fix the problem.  I think someone at Adobe accidentally effed it up.  I am so sick and tired of having things work one day and then stop working the next. 

Is there are way to set a spot colour to a stroke shape path in Photoshop? Is the only way to do this to create a spot colour channel and render the layer as a rasterized layer? I'm hoping to have a dyeline in Photoshop that has it's own layer and it's own named spot colour. Perhaps Photoshop isn't the program for this? I know you can import the .psd into illustrator and create the spot dyeline there. Is that the solution? TIA.

Generate fill does not work in Photoshop. It says that there is no internet connection. How can I make it work?
