Photoshop

I'm trying to make a script to increment Opacity and Flow. For the past year, or so, trying to stroke a path with the pen tool using the spot healing brush option just gives an error stating: "Could not use the *HEALING BRUSH* because the area to clone has not been defined..." I'm using the Spot Healing Brush, so I don't need to define an area. If I click, I get the default "no need to click, cuz it's the spot healing brush" error. Can this issue be fixed, please? Thank you. 

My eraser tool will not allow me to click and drag and consecutively erase a line. I'll click to erase what I want and it'll erase where my tool is placed, but when I hold and try to drag it, it will not erase. I have to keep clicking on my mouse in tiny incriments to erase anything...

Just bought a new Macbook Pro. Photoshop 25 will not open files from Dropbox. JPG gives this message: "because a JPEG marker segment length is too short (the file may be truncated or incomplete)." ARW files give this message:"Could not import the clipboard because Photoshop does not recognize this type of file" What's ging here? In the 2nd case, I did use the Open command. Tere's nothing in the clipboard as far as I know. 

I have been using the Contextual Task Bar for weeks and it was working. Today I get the following message: "The server is not responding. Please check internet..." My internet is working. Is this my computer or an Adobe problem? 

I have an AI file that has a glow and highlight built but uses different blending modes (screen, colour dodge, etc) and when I bring those elements over as a placed SO, none of those blending modes stick. How to keep blending modes?????

I like this effect but I can't get it now. The filter was applied to a circular selection. Now when I try all I get is a blank space. I tried it again in the original file and it worked fine, but won't in my new file. Many thanks for your help!

Estou prestes a viajar para um lugar sem acesso a internet por muito tempo e quero ter acesso a alguma versão legacy do photoshop para MAC que seja extremamente leve e que não precise de conexão com a internet. Minha preferencia sempre foi o Photoshop CS4 e já fazem anos que não vejo essas versões por aí seja oficialmente ou não. O mac que vou levar tambem é antigo, 2010. É um setup realmente vintage. haha

I recently upgraded my OS and then updated to latest versions of Adobe Photoshop and Lightroom. Now the clone stamp always shows black or some weird really dark variation or negative of the colour I'm cloning every single time. I've searched Google and Youtube for terms like 'clone tool always black/dark/negative' etc but finding zero results. It's the 2021 version on PS and no further updates are available. Am I really the only person on Earth having this issue? It's really screwed with my work flow and put me under pressure as I shoot real estate and typically use this tool on every job.  I've checked all the settings I can think of such as brush settings. I really hope somebody can help - maybe even Adobe! Good day, I am new to Photoshop. I am on PC, I am using 26.8.0 version of the program.  Let's say I have 10 layers in a document: 1 background and 9 rectangles, each with a different width and height. I want to set a specific width and height for the 9 rectangles at once. For example, I want all rectangles to be 200 x 200 px. I have tried selecting all of them and using Free Transform, or setting the desired width and height in the Properties panel while they are all selected, but it resizes them incorrectly (the chain is turned off)." Is there a way to do this? Before posting here, I ran a ChatGPT inquiry, but it gave me the wrong answer.    

I have tried several times to install photoshop on my MacBook Pro m2pro but it keeps saying error code 183? I have done several solutions online but none have work. Please help !?   {Moderate Note: Edited the thread title}

Hey there, I need to export a multi-artboard file as pngs. Doing this via quick export.Chosing "png","smaller file" andscaling them down by some percentage  introduces a white/transparent border, because when scaling down PS apparently doesn't recalculate the image data, but the data previously calculated for web output. It also produces really bad colors -  like when exporting as GIF and not ticking "convert to sRgb". I remember from ye olde times png 8 was pretty much the same as GIF, some something must have happened here.Also - since even LR can export AVIF (but not WEBP...) natively now, why are there no options in PS export for these formats everyone seems to want now? I really have to reopen the exported files in PS and resave as AVIF so I don't get a 150+KB file for a grey rectangle with some text? Or import them into LR so I can get this set up as a new, faster workflow? Or am I not grasping some concept there? I have to recycle pixel data here, otherw

I'm encountering an issue where I change the opacity of one layer in one document, and the selected layer in another open document changes with it!Really annoying and potentially damaging/expensive if I don't notice it's happened.This is really to ask if anyone else has experienced this. I don't have time to list all my system specs, provide highly documented examples and so on, Adobe.

I'm a paying Creative Cloud user and I want to file a formal complaint regarding Adobe support.I contacted support because **Generative Fill in Photoshop suddenly stopped working**, and I wanted to report the issue properly. While I was preparing a screenshot — exactly as the agent requested — the support representative **ignored me and disconnected the session** without any warning or follow-up.I then attempted to reconnect through the support system, but it either stalled or threw me back into the bot loop. The support experience was unprofessional and frustrating — especially for a paid customer.Please treat this as an official complaint and escalate it to the appropriate support or product team. I am switching from a Windows PC to a Mac. I used migration assistant. My photos all gor moved to a Pictures directory. However my creation dates and last modified dates are the dates of the transfer.  Opening my catalog on the mac, pictures show up with an "!". I guess I can override from the catalog but I have over 13000 pictures. Is there a better way to move the photos over? Or a way to do a mass change from the catalog?

Apologies I have tried to find a definitive answer but struggling.   My question is; let's say I take a photo of a fence, and I use photoshop to include a bird sat on it.  Can I use this new image (created with real and AI), for promotional purposes - a shop flyer for example - or is the AI generated part copyrighted to Adobe or other?   btw - I'm certainly never going to claim the bird was real/in the photo!!  I'm just trying to get my head around the legality of all this new technology.   Hope this all makes some kind of sense.

Does anyone know why there are seven instances of Microsoft Edge WebView2 running alongside Photoshop 2022?  I hope I've solved the freezing/crashing issue but Psd is still running sluggishly and  I would still like to know about this change. I'm looking at Task Manager on Windows 10 Pro, 64-bit (updated just a few days ago). Thanks, Sidney

 Not sure if this is already a known issue.If I open up lightroom and select to view photos on a external memory card, then select one to edit in photoshop, if I then (in photoshop), try to save the edited file to a different location (my main laptop drive for example), it ignores this and saves it to the original location - in this case my external memory card.I've never come across this before, this is a fairly new issue for me.

I am trying to change the color of the wood to white. I want the natural texture of the wood to show through the wood, though I cant figure out how to do this. I tried adding various adjustment layers and I also tried simply adding a blank layer and painting over the wood with white and playing with blending modes and opacity though this does not work well. What is the best way to do this?Thanks

It seems that whenever I launch Photoshop my display automatically increases in brightness and intensity. This tends to affect the outcome of my prints, often causing them to print darker than they should. When I close Photoshop, the brightness usually goes back to what I consider to be normal. However, I frequently have to manually adjust the monitor and drop the brightness from 100%. Is there a way to prevent Photoshop from increasing the brightness when launching? I'm using an HP all-in-one and Windows 11. That probably isn't the best combination but it is what I have.
