Photoshop

I updated Photoshop to version 26.6.1 a few days ago. After that update, some tools are missing from the toolbar and even when I add them via keyboard shortcuts, they are not added.

I have a circle in a scanned drawing that I am trying to select with the Ellipitical Marquee Tool. 1) When I click and drag to make the marquee (holding Shift to make it a true circle), the marquee only increases in size if I drag on the diagnols. Horizontal or vertical does not work. Is this the way the tool is supposed to work? 2) Trying to select the drawn circle with the circular marquee tool, I click on the upper left of the circle and drag to the lower right across the diagnol diameter of the circle but the marquee eillipse does not follow the cursor. It doesn't start at the exact upper left nor follow the cursor down. It lags behind. So when I drag from upper left to lower right of the circle, I end up with a circular marquee much smaller than the circle. I cannot get a marquee the exact size of the circle I wish to select. Am I doing something wrong or is there a setting that needs to be changed? BTW, if I try this with the rectangular marquee tool—also dragging

I build a PC and Im running creative suite... all programs tend to run just fine, except when working with LR and photoshop. But mostly Photoshop. Tends to shut off computer randomly without warning, like a short circuit... Just restarts. I've recently upgraded to Photoshop CC 2019, and a task that I used to do regularly with ease now seems to be impossible. I am trying to distort the corners of a smart object -- not a skew, not a slant, but independently moving the corners of the smart object to distort the image.How do I do this now? I really can't figure it out. Thanks in advance!

Bonjour à la communauté !Après n'avoir JAMIS PU résoudre le fait que le lasso polygonal (en cas d'erreur) refuse le retour en arrière une fois sur 20, voici que l'outil de sélection d'objet sélectionne ce qu'il veut et qui bien sûr ne correspond pas à ce que je désire.Un coup cela fonctionne et ensuite c'est n'importe quoi.C'est ma nième demande : j'en ai assez !Je paye mon abonnement pour m'irriter sur des outils qui refusent de fonctionner.Oui, oui j'ai désinstallé et réinstallé Photshop CC 2025 et cela n'a rien changé !Je passe mon temps à réinitialiser les outils récalcitrants et cela ne fait RIEN !Alors vais- je devoir quitter Adobe, parfois j'y pense car vraiment je me demande à quoi servent les mises à jour ?Merci pour vots idée pour me sortir de là !Je pense avoir bien relaté les soucis que je rencontre pour ne pas recevoir des mails me demandant quel est mon problème.Georges

Hi everyone,I'm wondering if Adobe has recently changed the behavior of Free Transform in Photoshop back to the older version. I noticed that when transforming objects, it now behaves more like it used to in the pre 2019 versions for example, scaling without holding Shift keeps the proportions again.Has anyone else noticed this? Is this an official change or something related to preferences or a recent update?

Hi, I just updated my Mac from 14.x to 15.5. Now, the dock is in the way. I resetted the Essential workspace, but to no avail. Does that mail Photoshop is no longer compatible with my MacBook Pro 16? Never mind, I just resetted the Photoshop Settings. All is good now! Any ideas? Regards, -Ron

I have the Photoshop version 26.6.1 on Windows 11. I have downloaded the latest drivers and made sure that everything is up to date. Whenever I try to start the program, nothing happens. It simply runs in the background and that is it. I tried everything, scoured the internet for answers and found nothing. I tried to uninstall it and reinstall it, run it as admin, bypass the antivirus, nothing works. Please help.

Lately when I open PSD files in Photoshop (25.6.1), they open with the layers flattened.  If I close the file (after making no edits), I am asked if I want to save the changes.  I say no and then reopen the file and magically all the layers are there again.  A bit of a nuisance.  Anyone know what's going on here?

Iam using the last version of Photoshop. On Windows latest version.I use the Generative fill multiple times per weeks since many months, always worked.Suddenly, its now greyed out since two days.My Firefly credits are almost full.I have no option for date of birth since iam on a corporative licence.I see multiple posts about this and no fix, do something Adobe!

How do I remove blend mode shortcut keyboard commands? I keep hitting the wrong key command that changes my brush setting from Normal to Dissolve or Screen, and sometimes I don't notice until later and have to go back and redo everything. When I try to remove the command in Keyboard Shortcuts, I get "Opt+Shift+D is an invalid shortcut. Menu commands must include & and/or an F-key in their shortcuts." Which I think is strange, because Opt+Shift+D is a shortcut, but for some reason it can't be changed?I appreciate any help, thank you.

When I open any file type in photoshop from my mac desktop, I have to click outside the image twice before any of my keyboard shortcuts work, actions, or anything else is recognized by PS. A minor inconvenience, but I sure would like it to stop and go back to simply opening an image, hit the "F" key to enlarge the file, run actions and begin editing. When I am editing rush images, it gets increasingly frustrating when my keycommands and shortcuts aren't working the second I open an image because I didn't click the image twice. Plus I get that annoying beep sound, like I have another program running instead of PS and the command or keyboard shortcut isn't recognized by some invisible program other than PS.This started happening after I upgraded to v26.5, but has remained after I went back to v26.4.1 and v26.3.Anyone else ever have this issue? 

This evening, Photoshop suddenly quit processing photos (.NEF's - Nikon RAW) The photos numbered 581-935 just opened in Photoshop without actually processing and saving the .jpg's  - what the heck!?  I have used Bridge/Photoshot daily for years and this have never hapened.  I uninstalled and reinstalled both Photoshop and Bridge....after the reinstall, the software is still broken! I am running Windows 11, Intel Core Ultra 7, 128GB RAM, 5 Internal Drives, Intel grapics A770 with 16GB RAM, etc,,, Any advice would be appreciated Thank  you Ray

Hi, I'm using camera raw with Photoshop CS6. I have edited some raw files and then saved the new images as jpeg. After that I just exit from camera raw without saving anything. If I reopen the raw file I can't see the original one but the edited one. Even if I re copy my files from my camera memory card and open them with camera raw I still see the edited ones. I've tryed this solution Revert to original photo in Camera Raw but it didn't work for me. Any suggestion? Thanks a lot

With the nbew version of PS installed, I do not see the pop up windows anymore giving me some options for actions. I did the the reset on Preference, general and reboot and it still do not appear. If I use PS 2024 I am OK. Any idea  what to do? Thanks

Photoshop crashes to dekstop when I am trying to save my files. It just goes to 99% and then....crashes! No errors, nothing.  So I have lost all my work as my jpg files is saved like this and my psd file is not opening at all as it has "unexpexted end" .So I am very keen to listen how to recover it?  

This has probably been asked many times before, but even after trying to find the answer via Google, I can't seem to find what I'm looking for.Playing with Opacity and Flow of the brush doesn't achieve this. I created a layer with noise, made a selection and converted it to a brush.Just as an example, let's assume I used Brush Dynamics, clicked and dragged the brush, and ended up with 2 "strokes" like this. As you can see, it's overlapping:  But my goal would be for Photoshop to know the area of the first stroke, even if there's no "paint" in it (in this case, it's the area I selected when I created the brush, which included white areas and black areas, creating the noise), then when 2 or more strokes overlap, Photoshop would know that certain areas were already covered, even if there's no red in them, and would create a uniform stroke like this: (I did this manually with 2 layers and removed from the top layer, the section from the layer below, just to illustrate what I

Hallo liebe Wissende, ich gestehe ein, dass mein Wissen zu Photoshop im speziellen und Lightroom im Allgemeinen sich bisher nur auf leichte Korrekturen bei Helligkeit o.d.gl beschränkt.  Im Rahmen einer Konfirmation wurden Bilder als JPEG erstellt und den Konfirmanten zur weiteren Verwendung zugänglich gemacht. Ich selbst durfte leider keine Bilder in der Kirche machen. Nun gut, meine Frau hatte den Einfall aus dem Bild das Motiv auszuschneiden und vor einen alternativen Hitergrund zu plazieren. Gedacht hatte sie an KI-Unterschützung aus der Software heraus. Leider ist das Ergebnis hmmmm suboptimal. Also nicht wirklich verwendbar.  Darum begann ich das Motiv auszuschneiden (siehe rechts). Es gibt durch die rechts stehende junge Dame einen Schattenwurf auf das Motiv (siehe Ausgangsbild links). Eu precisava expandir uma imagem para um projeto, e resolvi usar a ferramenta de expansão generativo da adobe, mas quando uso a ferramenta recorte, não consigo clicar no botão de Expansão generativa, ele está intangível, inclicável, opaco... Como se alguma circunstância me impedisse de usar a ferramenta, mas não sei qual.

Hi, I am trying to export Artboards to PDF (2 artboards to be exact) and the program is not able to save the second Artboard so I constantly get the error "Could not complete the PDF Presentation command because the file was not found." This is a file which I've used in a number of occasions and before and after last update of Photoshop Beta. I need to close the program and reopen to do it one by one. -.- 

When i open photoshop i get the message Direct X 11 installed Direct X 12 required (Capture 1)Checking my computer it says Direct X 12 is installed (Capture 2,  Capture 3 and Dx Diag)I have also attached a copy of the Dell Spec (Dell) in case there is another graphics card ? installed which is Direct X 12 which is being overrulled by the NVidia card ?Anyone any ideas what is happening ? and how do i correct it ? I presume this is why the reflection removal does not work

Hi Adobe team,I’m a fashion professional using Photoshop specifically for Generative Fill to fix couture dresses, extend fabrics, and preserve embroidery detail.After the last updates, the tool no longer understands my prompts and produces bizarre results like plastic tubes or surreal shapes.Even a simple prompt like: "fix the dress on the ground".“Extend the train of the dress using the same fabric and embroidery”used to work perfectly.Now it creates unusable results — breaking my workflow completely.This was the main reason I subscribed to Photoshop.
