Photoshop

When I circle item in Photoshop and click Generative Fill--I get a message-"this feature is currently not available." I can use the Remove feature of that task bar, but not Generative. I have updated, but this has been going on for a couple days.

Since updating to Photoshop v26.10 I’ve encountered a severe bug with layer masks.After using “Remove Background” (or when working with masks in general), painting with black on the mask works as expected (removes areas). However, painting with white does not restore any masked areas. I’ve been working professionally with Photoshop and masks for years – this is not a workflow or settings issue (foreground/background colors, brush mode, opacity/flow, etc. have all been checked). The problem persists across files, even after restarting the Mac and testing on completely new documents.This issue appeared only after updating to 26.10, so it seems to be a regression/bug introduced in this version.

My workflow is built around the regular use of various JSX scripts—from different authors, ranging from simple ones with just a couple of lines to complex ones with hundreds of lines. About two weeks ago, I started regularly getting the "JavaScript code was missing" error when running certain scripts. Re-running the same script usually works without problems. Or it causes a repeat error. It's unpredictable. Otherwise, Photoshop works reliably and quickly.My Windows 11 system is up to date and has all the latest updates. All device drivers are up to date. I'm confident my hardware is working correctly (including because no other applications experience errors, and the operating system logs contain no records of hardware issues). Strictly speaking, nothing is installed on my computer except Photoshop, Office applications, a browser, and the operating system. The paths to all system folders and user profile files contain only Latin characters.I read all the available materials on this top

I select my photos in Bridge and open them one at a time to edit them in Photoshop. I can open a few images by double-clicking on them in Bridge, and then suddenly Photoshop doesn’t react anymore when I want to open them. The only thing that helps is forcing Photoshop to stop (because when it happens, I can’t close photoshop the normal way anymore for some reason) and restart it. It gets quite frustrating when I have to do it every four or five photos. 

Hi,chapter 1 verse 1 of tracing around an object. Black for brush colour, Create the brush diameter and adjust the hardnesss slider until the soft edge matches that of the object. e.g. 7 pixels fade off, Q for quick mask and away you go. I trace within the object, so tracing along an aerial wire is a sane achievable task etc.Start tracing then lessen the diameter when you come across a narrow item, e.g a ships tapering mast, or a side view propeller blade, or aerial post etc. FAIL FAIL FAIL.Photoshop despite existing since version 3, has the brush softness change as well, so the propeller blade ends up with a trace far sharper than its soft edge has. e.g  3 pixels.Thats the rule of tracing broken. what should be a constant softness of e.g. 7 pixels is 7 with 5 then 3 then 2 for items that are thin or taper.There should be a setting called keep feather edge thickness, tick it then alter brush diameter, and I use [ and ] keys. Is there such ?As after 30 yrs of working with

Have strong internet connection via Ethernet cable. Happens on Windows 11 wired PC not my laptop connected by WIFI. Photoshop.exe and FireFly is allowed in Windows firewall. 

I have PS 27.7 running on my PC using windows 11 I will be working then randomly PS freezes. it's usually frozen minimum 5 minutes, sometimes it's just frozen requiring an End task. This did happen with PS 26 but its daily now!  Please help. 

I am trying to install flaming pear flood plugin with Photoshop 2026 but it says that the file is not recognised. I have read previous posts however the files it is mentioning are not visible. Can this plugin no longer be used in the later PS versions or is there a way around it?

in the photoshop and illustrator, when i follow the suggestion and type CMYK value, the result is totally different to the correct color.i can’t believe what i saw, how can i fix this?  

Photoshop will not open more than once - I will be working on an image, close the image, then try and open a new image and photoshop will refuse to open. I’ll have to force close on mac and then it will open the new file. It does not matter if I’m trying to open the new file from Bridge or Finder, it won’t work either way. Version: 27.6.0OS: macOS Tahoe 26.4

Photoshop horizontal scroll bar goes the wrong way when using the scroll wheel button. I have a wireless mouse that you can press the left or right side of the scroll wheel and it will scroll left or rightt accordingly. This works perfectly fine in other Adobe programs like Illustrator and InDesign. But it goes the wrong way in Photoshop and PS beta. When pushing the button to the left, the scroll bar should move left. This is how AI and ID work, and web browsers, and everything else, and is the correct direction. However, in PS and PS beta, pushing the button left cause the horizontal scroll bar to move to the right, which then causes the document on screen to move left. It is very counterintuitive, and makes Adobe programs inconsistent and frustrating to use. In comparison, when scrolling up or down, the vertical scroll bar moves in the direction you scrolled, and the document in front of you moves the opposite direction. Left and right scrolling should mirror this behavior

Hello,I am experiencing a serious problem with Adobe Photoshop on Windows 11.The issue started after Photoshop froze during normal use. The program became completely unresponsive, and I had to force close it through Task Manager. Since that crash, Photoshop has not been working properly.The application itself launches, but when I try to open any file, the workspace appears for a fraction of a second and then immediately returns to the home screen. Photoshop does not open any PSD files, and it also does not allow me to create a new file. In many cases, I get a general “program error” when trying to open a PSD. At one point, Photoshop also displayed an error saying it could not load default keyboard shortcuts and suggested reinstalling the application.This issue affects all PSD files, not just one file. There's an issue with this Photoshop script. When opening a Photoshop.psd file containing layers labeled A2 and A3, the current document dimensions are 2484 pixels wide by 3512 pixels high. The script is designed to scale the active layer to match the document size exactly. While the A3 smart object layer scales correctly with this script, the A2 layer ends up with dimensions of 2482 pixels wide by 3510 pixels high after running—slightly off from the document size. I don't want the layer to be rasterized; although using Free Transform after rasterization produces correct dimensions, I need to keep it as a smart object layer. Running the script twice in succession does yield the correct result, but it's inefficient. I bought Photoshop 2026, version 27.2.0 the 28th of March 2026, life time activation. Installed it and worked perfectly but since today, it crashes 2 or 3 minutes after I started it, even when I’m doing simple actions. I work on :Windows 11 Intel Core I5-14400F 16Go RAM NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5060 500+ Go free on diskI have tried this :Uninstall then install again. the icon of generative ai credits didn’t appear in the top of my program menu and in other menus and i attached first screen shot to refer to that by yellow marks and second one in generative upscale menu it shows but non clickable and i refer too by yellow marks pls help me to fix this issue i use PS ver. 27.7 ( with arabic support text writing )  

The file was saved. Tried opening it from Photoshop Home, and it says that “file cannot be opened because it was moved or deleted”. The file was not moved nor deleted. Checked my trash for my mac and photoshop itself but the file is not in there either. I tried opening other psd files I have as well just in case and it says the same thing. Please help.

I start the adjustment my captures in RAW in Adobe Bridge where I start Photoshop and modul Camera RAW. I often use HDR or panoramic captures, it means I asembly perhaps 20 captures to one picture. Some time it happens that freeze point of mouse and then behind several secunds is windows white and the end all is freezed. I got an issue that occurs when I open an image  in photoshop via the right click “edit in photoshop” contextual menu from light room classic 15.3.1. If photoshop is not already open and it has to launch I get the smearing as per below.Issue does not occur if photoshop is already open. For the last month free transform has been on whenever I’m trying to scale an image. Holding shift works for proportional scaling which is what I used to do for free transform so it has somehow switched? I have tried Edit > untoggle Free Transform, but it stays on. If I click maintain aspect ratio between width and height it works but if I click away from the image I just have to toggle it again. Help!

How to determine in Photoshop whether the current layer is a manually converted smart object, a placed embedded object, a placed linked smart object, or a vector smart object? The properties of these smart objects are almost identical, and I'm having trouble figuring out how to distinguish between them. I'd appreciate it if someone could enlighten me on this. Thank you.

Hello everyone,we have a question regarding an ACES workflow. Background: We render in Maya/V-Ray Multichannel EXR 32 bit files and and edit them in Photoshop.Previously, we only required 8-bit TIFF images without layers. Now, however, we need PSD or TIF files with layers and transparency.Summary: We have a PSD file with three layers, two of which contain transparency in the ACES color space (See Image 01). We require this PSD file—with the 3 layers and transparencies—in the Adobe RGB color space. If we use "Duplicate Image Into Profile" (see image 02), the image looks exactly the same as before, but we lose all layers and transparencies.Is there a way to convert the image—including layers and transparencies—to the Adobe RGB color space? I just asked this question in a thread about multichannel EXR files. Please excuse the duplicate post; I thought it would be better for others if it were in its own separate thread.  Thank you in advance for your help.Best
