I am writing this because I am completely fed up with the latest updates. Photoshop is a professional work tool, not a video game. It is like changing a mechanic's screwdriver every two days—we are here to work, not to waste time dealing with constant bugs and changes nobody asked for.The latest updates have completely ruined the Actions and Batch processing system. Every time a new version comes out, basic features stop working:Actions completely forget some saved parameters Sometimes is forcing me to click "OK" dozens of times manually, where before was completely authomatic. Teh new action panel is so unprofessional as well, where before you made two clicks now you make like 3 or 4 clicks and you even dont know if its saving properly or what is happening. We are paying an expensive monthly subscription for a stable workflow, not to act as beta testers for new gimmicks while the core production tools are constantly broken. Also everyday your ecosistem is more and more intrincate, claud
i logged on one day to none of my designs being in my home screen as if i had just downloaded photoshop for the first time can anyone explain how to get them back i kept seeing a scratch disk error right before loading in
I do retouch work and am redrawing line art backgrounds and Photoshop has HUGE issues when zooming in and trying to rotate the canvas. I am constantly having to hit the escape key to get the program to release from whatever it is doing when it gets confused as I zoom in and then try to rotate the canvas. Sometimes it will switch to the eyedropper tool when I am trying to zoom back out.I am using the TourBox elite controller while doing this. Plug in is installed correctly. But it could be the controller that is causing the issue. Both programs are updated. It does work better with the Photoshop’s internal rotation - but are there any settings I can tweak to get it to work better with TourBox?It is much much worse since I updated to the 27.6.0 release.Anyone else here have similar issues?
I'm using Photoshop on my iPad and want to print images to a photo printer. I want to be able to specify height, width, dpi, and place where on the media the image will print. Is it possible and how can I do it?
I am using MacOS 26.4.1 with Photoshop 26.3.1. The grid view in Home panel is failed to render and I only can use list view. And another error is when first open the app it will not load any recent files until I open 1 file and back to home panel.
I am experiencing another issue with Photoshop 2025 on macOS.A DNG file generated through Lightroom Super Resolution cannot be opened in Photoshop.Error message:“The file-format module cannot parse the file.”The same file still opens normally in Lightroom, so the DNG itself does not appear to be completely corrupted.Workflow:Canon R5 CR3 → Lightroom Super Resolution → DNG → Photoshop 2025 fails to openThis looks like a Camera Raw / file parsing issue between Lightroom and Photoshop.Has anyone else experienced this?
Hi,I’ve been having an issue in Photoshop where the adjustments tab periodically becomes greyed out, making it impossible to add an adjustment layer by clicking on the the appropriate type. Restarting Photoshop resolves the issue temporarily. I’ve tried a number of troubleshooting steps including trashing and rebuilding preferences and reinstalling the application but nothing has resolved it. Photoshop 27.5.0. MacBook Pro M3, MacOS 26.4.1. Any help to resolve this would be much appreciated.
I’m having trouble quickly making a New Guide Layout that centers the rows the same way that centering columns works. My first screenshot shows my settings in the New Guide Layout screen, while the second shows the type of grid layout I am trying to quickly create. Currently, I am adding the horizontal lines manually. My document settings in the screenshots are 3.75in x 2.25in at 600dpi. The example is for business cards with a bleed, but I’d like to be able to use the New Guide Layout this way for any other file size that requires a bleed. I am working in Photoshop v27.6 on a Windows 11 computer.
I want to change the icon files because currently the icon files are exactly the same that the app icon.
Hello! I would like to ask those experienced with digital painting about brush settings with Photoshop. I am new to digital painting and have had some challenges getting used to manipulating my digital brush, particularly with pressure sensitivity. I press hard on my tablet, so initially I set my Wacom pressure settings to soft to try and compensate for this. This led to virtually no control for pressure sensitivity in Photoshop as values would blow out near instantly. Now, my Wacom tablet pressure settings are default with medium pressure sensitivity. I see different artists using different settings such as, only opacity and no flow, full transfer settings, no transfer settings, etc. I am confused between what sort of settings I should be using with my default hard round brush. Specifically, when painting, should I have the transfer setting enabled or disabled, for both flow and opacity? Why or why not? Here is a video by Peter Mohrbacher advising against transfer settings, that I cam
Photoshop 27.1.0 freezes whenever I start it, all the app freeze with no error or freezing messages or any reports, it keeps stocking, I tried to clear the temp files and reset the app from the preferences and also holding the (ctrl+alt+shift) buttons method and reset it several times, but it's still the same.I use 64-bit Windows 11 pc, 16 ram and 1T SSDI worked with this version smoothly for almost 2 months with no issues, the issue suddenly happened yesterday
Sometimes You have a few open documents at the same time arranged in tabs.I would like a small thumbnail to appear when you hover over the tab to show you the contents of the document. It would make it so much easier to find the document you need. Also in “Open Recent” and in the “Window Menu” ListHere’s an Idea
I'm new to Mac and cannot really see the tiny thumbnail icons which PS seems to give as standard- is there a way to enlarge them. They look especially tiny on my 27 inch screen! In Win 10 there was a choice of several sizes and I always used the largest when secection an image to work on. Any suggestions? Thanks, Pete.

Hello,I have a lot of scanned CD booklets like I have no deeper experience with Photoshop and mainly use PaintShopPro for graphics but since Photoshop is included in my subscription and I found no solution with PaintShopPro I ask here..Is there a convenient and fast way to process these pictures:Load it Adjust it horizontal Crop it In the case of the booklet device it in two pages (in two new images) and save them? And the same with the back-inlay and the CD?And even better process CDs or he booklets in batch? It would be nice if someone how have deeper knowledge then me could give me some hints. Thanks Stefan Westner
Most of the file type options are missing from my save menu. I cannot save JPGs unless I choose the 'Save as a Copy command. If I choose 'Save', or 'Save As...' I only see options to save as PSD, PSB, IFF, JPF, PNG, TIFF. I've noticed that for some files, I only have PSD, PSB, and TIFF. I have my project set to 8-bit, RGB Color.I use photoshop regularly and this problem just started yesterday. The problem persists with all new projects I create.
Photoshop’s built in-focus stacking is currently a severe compromise for product and macro/micro photographers. It has by far the most convenient workflow in terms of editing, but also by far the worst precision among competitors. Surely Adobe would have all the resources and capability to outshine Helicon Focus and Zerene Stacker if you put your mind to it. Sadly though, focus stacking hasn’t seen any improvement in Photoshop since its inception in 2008 I believe and thus is incredibly inaccurate for complex objects, requiring a lot of manual corrections to the masks which is very time consuming. Zerene Stacker does a much (much, much...) better job of stacking complex photos, but they have their own serious drawbacks (lack of RAW support and many editing capabilities, not to mention the terribly outdated UI). Here’s a list overview of the current focus stacking situation:Focus stacking in Photoshop: * CON: the worst quality among serious competitors, inaccurate masks * PRO: best file
How do I disable this feature? I have saved a file as a copy (jpg, png, etc) and I no longer need the file. I try to close it but Photoshop locks up until I save it as a PSD file as well before I can close the file. Why does it do this? I am using Adobe Photoshop 2022.
Simply put, if I have a base image and edit it with levels and/or curves in Photoshop and then flatten or merge visible or stamp visible, the images darkens noticeably making it impossible to measure with Color Picker what the edited values actually are. This is a headache at a number of levels for my workflow. I had not noticed it previously so I don’t know if this is a recent bug or something I have only now become sensitive to. Any input would be appreciated. Mac Mini M2, Photoshop 2026 on my computer
There are vertical lines throughout an old photo I'm restoring, and I haven't figured out how to eliminate them. Ideas welcome! Apparently there's no way to add an attachment here, which renders this query useless...Ah; OK, here we go. I’m not sure if the lines were the result of a texture on the original photo, but I would like to remove them if possible.
I have to say that the results I get from generative fill in photoshop are absolutely terrible. Why is adobe including a poor quality function? Not only do the image results look unrealistic but the reults are in low resolution, so absolutely no use whatsoever to a print designer. Might be fun for someone trying out photoshop for personal use, but when I pay a lot of money for a professional application and it includes a function that is dreadful then there is big problem in my opinion. Can adobe either make functions that work to a high standard or drop the monthy subscription price to reflect how poor AI is.
Hi forum, is there an equivalent in PS to get Corner type like in Illustrator? I notice in PS there is an option to round off the corners, but I also would like to know if there's an option about making the corners of a shape chamfer or inverted round. Thank you
Could you please recommend a very experienced Photoshop teacher for private lessons? Thanks
I’ve been attempting to upscale an image today on my Windows 11 PC, and so far I’m only able to use Firefly or Topaz Bloom, but I need to be able to use Topaz Gigapixel. Normally this is a very fast process for me, but today the progress bar spends several minutes gradually filling up, and if I let it continue it was eventually giving me an error although the last couple of times I tried the progress bar went away and I didn’t see the error. I’ve never experienced this until today, and I’ve tried the option on two different machines unsuccessfully.
