Photoshop Elements

I am still using PSE14 Organizer to add tags to my photos metadata.  There is a face recognition feature that identifies the faces.  Is there a way to combine these 2 features by allowing the names of the recognized faces to be added to the media and then saved to the metadata?  This was available in Picasa 😞

Running 2023 on latest version of Windows 11. I lost my ability to save as or open webp images after resetting preferences. I have downloaded the latest, version-compatible 64 bit plugin to the proper plugin folder (/Photoshop Elements 2023/plug-ins). I have no other Photoshop plug-ins that may be conflicting, and have only 1 copy of the webp plugin. I have re-opened PSE many times. In preferences/plugins, the folder listed is the same plugin folder my webp file is in. And in Help/about plugin, 2 are listed, none of which exist on my hard drive. The webp plugin is not listed. I just have nothing left to try. Maybe I should reinstall  elements. I'd appreciate any help. Thank you!

Recently I noticed that ALL images dated earlier than 20240530have (or at least display) a 5 star ratingmost were previously blank rating20,000++ images and videosI don't want to overwrite every image to blank rating because 1,000 or so are actually rated

I'm trying to type text in the shape of a heart.  I have followed the tutorial by creating the shape and then selecting the text tool, making sure I am on the horizontal type tool.  When I hover over the shape (i am on the shape layer in the layer palette) I do not get the cursor with the circle.  outside of the shape I have the cursor wit the box,  on the edge of the shape I get the cursor with the squiggly line, but it won't give me the circle to enable me to type in the shape of the heart.  any suggestions?thanks in advance!

I purchased and registered PSE 2023 in August 2023. Recently I've been going through immumerable futile steps to re-install the WebP plugin, which up until recently worked fine. Still, Elements (even after reinstallation) doesn't recognize the plugin at all. After many attempts to fix this problem, I just got a noticefrom Adobe.Tech that " No, it's because Windows 11 is not supported with our older version of the software. PSE 2024 comes with 4 years of warranty and supported." So if I upgrade to 2024 (or 25), will I lose the balance remaining on my PSE 2023 3-year license? ANd does it make any sense not to just skip to 2025, if my paid licence isn't going to be honored anyway? I need to be able to use webp. Thanks, Laurie

I am running Photoshop Elements 2024, v.2024.0(2024321.Git.master.597671b)x64.  I just installed Adobe DNG Converter 2024, v.17.0.0.2043 and used it to convert a single trial Fuji .RAF file.  Everytime I attempt to open the resulting .DNG file, Elements 2024 crashes and simply shuts down.  I have even tried using Windows File Explorer to look at the file properties of this resulting .DNG file and it causes File Explorer to immediately shut down.  Before I uninstall the DNG Converter, I would appreciate any suggestions on how to fix this problem.

If I try to access Adobe Stock from Photoshop Elements 2024 for example to use a background from there just opens a window with the note: "We cannot process your request. Try again later. “ After trying “again later” for a few weeks without success, I don’t think there’s any point in waiting any longer. I would be grateful for tips and advice on possible causes of errorsregards Michael

Hello Friends,   After using PSE for many years for just the basics,and having more than 50K Fotos and Videos I am advancing to the 2025 Premier and would like to use it in depth.   For a start I want to create catalogs of media and of people and locate it on one of my HDDR's ( I have 5) on the PC. I am going to use this drive only for working with PSE (system drive is not very reliable.) .. I am using an SSD for speed. I have created a subfolder _PSO. Is it possible to create every few days (automatically or manually) a backup of the Indexes to the media (catalog) + People? I tried to create a backup it occupies 250 gigs. This must be the wrong type with too much info! Could someone please advise me what to do step be step? .. I am preparing to leave home for my winter place. I use a desktop here but a laptop when I travel. I have the program installed on both. I thought I had moved the Catalog to an EHD last winter but I see now that the catalog is different on the laptop from that on the desktop.I have completed a Full Backup that includes buc and tly files as well as BOOO files. I reconnected, optimized and repaired before making the Backup.#1 Can I somehow update the Catalog on the laptop to conform to the newer version  in the saved Backup?#2 Do I need to reinstall PSE 2020 on the laptop in order to do a Restore using my Backup?#3 At present my catalog is shown as below but I wanted to have it only on the EHD so that I could switch from desktop to laptop seamlessly. I recently upgraded to Photoshop Elements 2025, running it on my new iMac, OS Sequoia 15.1. Not happy. After editing a file, I am unable to save it, because PSE says it is locked. IT IS NOT. Adobe technical support first told me the only  way I can save the edited file is on the Desktop. Technical support later figured out that if I place the file in the Downloads file, I can save it there. Not an elegant workaround. Apple Care says it is an Adobe probleem.This was not a problem with my previous version of Photoshop Elements and Adobe needs to fix it. Technical support says the problem is due to new technology. Not acceptable. Any other ideas would be appreciated. 

AVI file does not play when opening the file in Photoshop Elements running on MACIf I open the file directly from the drive it runs perfectly in QuikTimePlayer with pictyer and soundWhy?Does Element use another videoplayer?Please helpBest Regards Hagos

Could someone tell me how to stop my 160,000 Organizer photos going to the cloud. They go to the cloud and Google Photos when I upload new pictures. I  never asked for this, it never used to happen,  I am being charged, and do not need it.  Do I need the cloud for anything?  I have a PC, an iPad and and an iPhone, so just wish social media, emails and Google Photos for pictures taken by my phone.  Thank you. 

Back in 2018 I bought adobe elements 2018 at best buy and added the information to my adobe account. Now that my main PC died, I am trying to redownload the programs, but my adobe account says that my "App Subscription has ended", even tho I never bought a monthly app subscription. My paid Adobe Elements 2018 is not anywhere in my library or the apps. Can someone please help me?

I had to buy a new computer and have been trying to reload Photoshop Elements onto it from a flashdrive with the files copied from my old computer.  I keep getting this error:Update your browserTo use Adobe services, please update your Adobe applications, operating system, and browser to the latest versions. Not sure what I need to do -- computer is new, so I don't know what would need to be updated???

Hi!I'm still using the ancient Photoshop Elements 15 in Mac succesfully until now.  Suddenly today after opening the program all the images are attached to the bar, which I don't want. I'm used to working with images in separate windows. I always have many images open at the same time and they overlap eachother in the left hand corner of the window and they can be managed totally separately. How can I get this option back on again? I would really appreciate help concerning this!Thanks, Mia 

HOW DO I GET IT TO STOP? CAN FIND NOTHING IN EDIT\PREFERENCES IN EITHER PE OR ORGANIZER, AND IT'S PILING  MISSING FILES INTO ORGANIZER. 

I bought a new laptop and want to know if I can migrate licenses forAdobe Reader XI, Photoshop Elements 14 and Premiere Elements 14 from the old to the new system, or must I submit to the new perpetual subscription licensing model. Thanks in advance

I am trying to install Photoshop Elements on my new laptop but I receive the error message: "The code execution cannot proceed because MSVCR120.dll was not found.  Reinstalling the program may fix the problem."  I have tried three times.  What do I do now?
