I have loaded photo shop elements 10 and it will not open
I am a new Mac user (version el capitan). I just installed Photoshop Elements 13 on it and do not want any programs that I do not need that installed with it. I am not and do not plan to subscribe to Creative Cloud. I have a program called IPCBroker in the launch pad and don't know what it is for. I get conflicting info when I search about it. I cannot drag it to the Trash. Also do I need AAM Launcher Utility and Adobe Application Manager? If I do not need these programs, How do I properly uninstall them on a Mac?
How do I super impose one image over another?
This has to be somthing simple and stupid. Using Elements 8, here is what I'm doing:1) Using main menu, click "File / Open"2) Select a Canon RAW file (.CR2)3) File opens in Camera Raw4) On Camera Raw dialog click "Open Image"5) Camera Raw dialog closes, image opens up in photoshop main window6) At this point, using main menu, select "Layers". All entries are grayed out (disabled).7) The Lyers palette is also non-functional.Huh?Like I said this hads to be somethign simple and stupid, I've scanned the online docs, searched the adobe forums, and googled. Can't seem to find anything about this.Any/all help appreciated.Mike
I am using Photoshop Elements 10 on Win 7 PC. I am trying to print multiple copies of one image on a single 8.5x11 sheet of paper? The images are artwork for buttons (to be used in button-making machine) so the dimensions must be exact on the duplicated images. When I select Picture Package, the images are resized to fit the dimensions in the picture package. When I select Contact Sheet, the images are resized to fit the number of columns I selected. Neither is acceptable. How can I repeat the same image on a single piece of paper without having the system re-size the image? I know that I can manually create a new PSE file and manually insert the images into this file. This is what I have been doing as a work-around. But I would hope there is a better/faster way.Thank-you!
How do you recolor a selection but maintain the shading or texture of the seleciton. For example, I see people use PE to recolor cars, but it keeps the shaded or shiny areas and just seems to change the paint color. When I do it, it changes the whole selection to the flat color.thanks for any help.
Hi,I'm trying to delete all white pixels from my image and make them transparent. Is this possible, and if so, how? Thanks,Brandon
I can't seem to figure out the Replace Color Function. I am following the instructions, but when I say, replace white with blue, all I get is a darker shade of grey rather than blue. I Opent the Replace Color window, use the eydropper to pick my colour to be replaced, pick a new color at the bottom of the window, but all i get is various shades of Grey. What am I doing wrong?Alan
Adobe Elements 2019. When I try to run updates, i get "updates have been disabled for this machine. Please contact your administrator"Windows 10, the adobe update service is running. I get a prompt saying there is an update available when I launch elements Organizer, but when I click install, i get that message. I've looked in registry and cant figure out where this block is coming from?
Hi,I have recently purchased a Dell XPS15 laptop with a QHD+ (3200x1800) display. The PC is running Windows 8.1. I have also purchased Photoshop Elements 12 to run on it.With the display at the native resolution, it is necessary to have the "Change the size of all items" option in the display settings of Windows 8.1 set to "Larger", in order for the native Windows fonts and UI elements to be at a reasonable size. The laptop came with this option enabled by default. However, disappointingly the UI font size in Photoshop Elements is way too small when the display is at the native resolution. The application is basically unusable.I have tried setting the "Use system font" option in the General preferences, but this doesn't seem to help. The only way I can get the Photoshop Elements UI font to a reasonable size, is by dropping the screen resolution (to say 1920x1080).This seems like a terrible waste of a beautiful screen, particularly when my main reason for using the PC is for editing photo
I have Photoshop Elements 6.0 and wanted to calibrate my monitor using Adobe Gamma which I understand comes with Photoshop. When I search for Adobe Gamma, I can't find the application. Any suggestions on how to find this, does the program have to be re-installed?
I have photoshop elements downloaded on my desktop. I would like to have it on my laptop as well. Is that a possibility? If so, how do I go about downloading it to my laptop?Message title was edited by: Brett N
I have been trying to copy and paste part of an image into a new background.
Well, now I know what it is......HOW do I open it?
Hi there,I want to keep the width pixel size the same but change the height of the background layer (canvas). Cannot for the life of me figure out how to do this. When I uncheck constrain proportions and choose reshape, of course the proportions are off on the layers within and when I try to resize each of those layers, they become blurry. Thank you!
I'm trying to highlight something on a data sheet, and just need to make a simple box that outlines the content area I'm highlighting, but obviously the viewer needs to see through the box to the content. Can't find anything on Elements for how this is done.thanksdoug
Hello,Help! Can anyone tell me step by step instructions on how to cut an image and leave the background behind, and save just the image with no background??
What am I doing wrong? I want to modify or replace the color in a selection, so I make the selection, create a new layer, and try to replace the color from the Enhance menu. I get the message " can't do it because no pixels are selected." The selection is OK; I can see the marching ants. The same happens when I try other color adjustments and probably other adjustments as well. Would appreciate some help. Many thanks.
Someone has sent me a large 11mb PSD file. When I open it, it contains the layout and all the image the client wants to use on their web page, including all images. However, I don't know how to take each image from that one worksheet, and extract each one to a separate file. I have to ask them to email me each image/file separately.Surely there is a way to copy and paste or "save selected item"??Simon
When trying to open some photos, an error message pops up. It is: "Could not complete your request because a JPEG marker segment length is too short (the file may be truncated or incomplete)." These photos were downloaded from the same card and at the same time as photos that do open. If you have a solution for this, please advise me on what actions to take. Thank you.
I am attempting to print a 5x7 photo on an 8.5x11 sheet of photo paper. What I want is to be able to orient the photo in a landscape position and the paper in a portrait position, and place it at the top of the page so that I can later print another 5x7 photo below it on the same sheet. No matter what I select, it always places the 5x7 in the same orientation as the sheet of paper, and I cannot figure out how to change the bounding box so the I can orient the photo differently on the sheet. I hate to waste all that perfectly good (and expensive) photo paper.I am using Elements 9 with an Epson Stylus Photo R3000. Thanks for any help you can give me.
Maybe thissi is mentioned somwhere in the manuel, but I could not find it.You created a layer mask with selected objects and applied Refined Edge to it--fineAll selections (marching ants) are now deleted from the imageThen you see you need to add some more stuff to the mask, so you select the new odjectsBut how do you **add them** to the existing mask? Is there a fast, one- click way of doing this?
Where can I find a link to download, in PDF format, a User Manual for Photoshop Elements 9? There doesn't seem to be a manual on the installation DVD.
