Photoshop Elements

My HP TE01-1022 (specs fine for PSE) was originally running Photoshp Elements 18 (2020). PSE was installed via disk with activation code when the PC was new, about 3 years ago. PSE ran without any problems. Recently, there was a storm, and the PC crashed. The PC was repaired with a new motherboard (same as original). The PC is now running latest Windows 11 23H2, the most recent Edge and Firefox, updated dirivers, updated apps. Just about all apps were easily re-installed; some from disks, others from internet downloads, with all working fine. However, when I go to reinstall PSE via the disk, I get the drop down alert from Adobe stating that I should "Update your browser," and could go no further with the installation. As far as I can tell, as everything is fully updated, why this alert?  I have read and re-read this Adobe link (https://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/global/update-operating-system-and-browser.html), but unfortunately, I'm still at a loss as how to get PSE 2020 on

Hallo Community,am WE habe ich versucht Photoshop Elelements 2019 (Ver. 17) unter Windows 10 neu u installieren. Bin direkt am Anfang der Installationsroutine gescheitert bei folgender Fehlermeldung "Browser aktualisieren". Beim recherschieren habe ich herausgefunden das wohl zwingend der Microsoft Explorer 11 nötig ist, dieser wurde aber vor Jahren eingestellt und nicht mehr unterstützt, mit "Edge" hat auch nicht funktioniert.Ich perönlich finde das schon ein Armutszeugnis von Adobe das die Installation nur mit einen bestimmten Browser funktioniert. Hat jemand ähnliche Erfahrungen gemacht, oder noch besser eine Lösung???Chatten mit den Profis von Adobe hat leider auch nichts gebracht.Im voraus vielen Dank,  Thomas

I have an ancient Adobe Photodeluxe program that will not run on windows 10. It has a great feature that allowed you to select a background color, click on the image and you have a new background color. I now use Elements 15 and don't see an easy way like that to change color. Is there one or is there a way to make my old program run on windows 10ThanksJohn

I previously used Photoshop Elements to put on a few computers that didn't need the high-powered editing that Creative Cloud has, mostly just text editing and whatnot, and I just bought a 2025 license and it's making me deactivate other PCs when in the past, all I needed for Elements was a license key. Did something change? I can't seem to use Elements 2025 without being forced to deactivate my own personal Creative Cloud.

I cut out the border on the snowman and then did something to it to put a red ring around the box.  I can't remember how I did this.  I need to do it on a couple more images.  I'm using Element 2021.  Can someone tell me how to do this? Norma

I have Adobe Photoshop Elements Organizer 2024. No matter what I do, I am not able to stop the Auto Creation code from launching in the background, consuming 100% of PC resources. I tried to check it off in the preferences and removed it from the startup. Nothing stopped this useless for me, but I was heavy on resource code from running. Please help.

I recently updated my late 2014 Mac mini to Monterey 12.7.6 and since then Photoshop elements 12 crashes. The first time elements opened and allowed me to add text to a photo. It crashed when i tried to save the project. Now it will launch but crash when I click anywhere on the screen.  I have checked SECURITY & PRIVACY > ACCESSIBILITY and Photoshop Elements is still ticked. Any clues or help to resolve this would greatly appreciated .   [Mod: Moved to the Photoshop Elements forum]  

I've been using Elements 12 along with Photoshop CS6 by selecting a photo in Elements' Organizer and then tapping the Ctrl + H keys. Using this shortcut would immediately load Photoshop and the image would appear for editing. This worked great. A year+ ago I upgraded my PS CS6 to Photoshop 2024 and the Ctrl + H shortcut stopped working. So, does anyone know if this shortcut works using a newer version of Elements? I would upgrade my Elements in a flash if I knew the shortcut had been restored. 

I need to increase the size of the words on the task bar so I can see them.  Can someone tell me how to do this?  TYIA

Just got a new computer with Window 11.Installed PE9 fron the installation disk.Error message during installation that two drivers could not load.Computer would then not boot, had to wipe everytrhing and re-install Windows.Is there a safe way to install PE9 in Windows 11?Thank you!

How do I stop these annoying pop-ups, bottom left of the workspace, trying to sell further photoshop enhancements?

When using Magnetic Lasso how do I stop it jumping across picture instead of following the course I am trying to lasso? It appears to guess what I am trying to do and lasso's portion I do not want to be included. I then have to delete portion and try again to lasso what I want. It then ofter jumps again without me moving the mouse. I use an iMac 2024 M3 with Sequoia 15.0.1 OS.

I've heard/read that Photoshop Elements 2025 does not work on WIN PCs. Is this true? I have the .exe file for 2021 but was unable to fully install it. I would love to have the 2025 version instead. Any/all suggestions/advice is appreciated! RochelleM

I use the dimensions 560 px by 420 px almost exclusively, and Elements used to remember them. Now I see them when I open the first file, but as soon as I open a second file they change to the dimensions of the new file. Is there a way to stop this change from taking place, like Elements used to work?Please see attached.

Older versions of Photoshop elements had a posterize filter. It was so simple and adjustable. Now this filter is missing, and the ones available are clunky and not very adjustable. Is there some way to apply a similar effect in the current version? PSE 2021 I thoughr I could use layers to select subject, apply edit to it on separate layer, background unchanged. But frustration, bc saved image file makes backround transparent. This seems wicked since image on screen, with background layers visible, does not reveal it! You would never know you have not saved complete image with backround until you open it in another program.Web for help is useless bc 100% of posts are about REMOVING background. I don't want to remove it!So I'm thinking this does not behave like all other selections do. Very different & no warning. Is this "intelligent" -- artificial or otherwise?Color me Red.

Guten Morgen, leider habe ich seit gestern probleme mit Photoshop seit dem ich camera raw installiert habe öffnet sich Photoshop nicht mehr. Es öffnet sich nur noch dieses Fenster wo ich dann zwischen Photoshop und Premiere wechseln könnte. Premiere funktioniert tadenlos aber Photoshop öffnet angeblich aber leider passiert hier nicht weiteres außer das es läd und dann wieder aufhört. Vielen Dank im Voraus.

Adobe Photoshop Elements Organizer (Elements Organizer 24.0.0.0)Der Organizer funktioniert auf mein HP Envy 27 All in One 27 und zuvor auf dem Acer Notebook nicht fehlerfrei.Auf beiden PCs ergibt sich das gleiche Fehlerbild.In der Datenbank des Organizer befinden sich ca. 40.000 Bilder, ein Fotoarchiv von 1998 bis 2024.Den Organizer nutze ich schon ca. seit 2005.In den letzten 2 Versionen des Organizers hatte ich schon diese Funktionsprobleme, sowohl auf den Acer Notebook V17 Nitro Black Edition mit Windows 10 Home CPU Intel I7 mit 8GB Ram bis 2022 und ab 2022 nun auch mit dem neueren HP Envy All in One 27 mit Windows 11 Home CPU Intel I9 64GB RAM.Das Verhalten vom Organizer war und ist auf beiden Rechnern identisch.Fehlfunktion bei „Fehlende Dateien neu verbinden“Nach dem die auf gelisteten fehlenden Dateien gelöscht wurden erscheint eine Fehlermeldung mit dem Hinweis „Fehlerbericht senden“ danach wird das App-Fenster des Organizers automatisch geschlossen.Fehlfunktion bei der Vorscha

First... I'm working with Windows 11 and Photoshop Elements 2024 (just bought it).Here's what I want to do:I want to select a brush and have it slightly auto rotate with a successive key tap. So for example, the second tap of my keyboard key would rotate the first brush stroke by say 15 degrees (or whatever degree I set).  I've been reading and watching videos for an hour and it looked like something called "angle jitter" would do it. But I can't find anything like that. There is a "hue jitter" but I'm not looking to change the color or shade of the brush. I just want it to auto rotate slightly from the exact same point as the initial brush stroke. I'm sure this is something really simple but for the life of me I can't find it. Help please!

I've used Photoshop since version 2.5 and now, one of the simplest things, I can't find any way to see the color selected by the Eyedropper tool. In photoshop, there was always an indicator in tools that showed the line and the fill color.When you used the eyedropper, the color in the box was displayed, and you knew what color the brushes etc. were using. I'm using 200% for the UI because I'm using a 34" UHD monitor.I have looked online and at several sites but don't find anyway to display the color in the interface?It can't be that hard, but I just don't see it!Mike 

I worked up a file in the Expert mode, then did a vignette in the Guided mode (if you have a tip on how to do a good vignette in the Expert mode I'm all ears). I saved the file in Guided mode and got a popup asking me something (that I can't remember) and when the file opened back up in Expert mode I had severely dsyfucntional functionality. Any idea what may have happened? Perhaps I should've done the vignette in Guided mode first? Any way to get functionality back in Expert mode for that particular .psd? Thanks.

For reasons beyond me, when I go to Filter in the Editor, it suddenly wasn't showing Photo AI but initially was still showing Sharpen and Denoise. Now, I saw there was an update today so thought maybe that was the culprit. I have now updated Photo AI but when I go to Filter in Editor, it is not showing any of the plugins!! No Photo AI, no DeNoise and no Sharpen!! Any ideas on how to fix this? I count on using all three of them within Elements 23.

I have posted my backup problem here already and received no help.  I have "chatted" for 3 hours with Adobe tech support about the problem and they are so far unable to help.  I have a MacBook Pro (M1) running OS 15.1 (Sequoia).  I have Adobe Elements 2023 core version 21.1.  I can do a full catalog backup on the internal Mac disk but PSE crashes every time I try to backup to an external SSD.  Since I am having so much difficulty with this problem and I am very uncomfortable with having only an internal disk backup, I want to try a work-around.  I have copied a successful backup file from the internal disk to the external SSD and I want to try it and see if it will restore correctly.  I do not have another computer to try this on so I will have to use the same Mac.  I have plenty of disk space on the Mac so that will not be a problem, I am just worried about losing or corrupting my current catalog in the process.  My question: Can I create a

Hallo liebe Community,  ich wollte heue auf meinem Windows 11 Rechner Photoshop Elements 24 installieren, leider hat sich hier ein Problem ergeben, welches ich bisher nicht lösen konnte: Sobald ich das Installationsprogramm öffne (geladen aus meiner Adobe ID) und die Installation von Windows akzeptiert habe, öffnet sich mein Browser zur Authentifizierung. Soweit sogut, ich logge mich ein und im Browser steht, dass ich das Fenster schließen kann, jedoch erkennt der Installer die Anmeldung nicht und wartet weiterhin auf Authentifizierung "Zum Browser wechseln". Der Hyperlink "melden Sie sich hier an", falls die Anmeldung per Browser nicht klappt, lässt sich nicht anklicken und damit passiert nichts.  Ich habe es bereits mit mehreren Standard-Browsern versucht (Edge, Chrome, Firefox, Opera), Cookies gelöscht, den Verlauf gelöscht, Pop-Ups aktiviert etc. aber ich komme einfach nicht weiter.  Ich habe den Installer auf einem anderen Rechner ausprobiert, hi

I'm trying to install the free version of Nik Collection in PSE 2024. I downloaded the collection and copied all the 8bf files into the C:\Program Files\Adobe\Photoshop Elements 2024\Plug-Ins directory. When I open PSE, it gives an error message:Plug-ins that failed to load:Color Efex Pro 4 NO VERSION - - from the file “Color Efex Pro 4.8bf” Other Nik plugins (like analog efex, viveza etc) show up ok in PSE. Any idea why color efex Pro isn't working? Thanks.
