The company I work for was sold. I received a new CC license from my new company and installed Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects, Audition, and Premier. All the apps work except After Effects, nothing happens if you try to start Ae from CC. You get an Application error if I try to start it from Start. I will attach the error. My IT support people are telling me they can't help me as this a security issue between Adobe and Google Chrome. I am really stuck. Does anyone know anything about this and how I can get it fixed.

Motion blur is toggled on a layer as well as 3d. These layers are connected through a null & a camera layer, I even tried it with a layer without the camera and still no luck. I have it on classic 3d render and have motion blur toggled in the main bar.

I shot with Panasonic Vlog and when I import the video it appears to have a lut applied before I apply the VLog_to_V709_forV35_ver100.cube Lut. It appears to add a lut on import and when I apply the correct lut the video displays over-exposed video. I created a new Premiere Pro project, imported the same file, and applied the LUT, which worked as expected. I then sent the sequence to After Effects via dynamic link and the result was over-exposed video as before. Is there any solution to my problem? After my updated M4 machine with updated AE apps and MH . The play back is slow in intial time and after cache , its work fine . Intial time its working very slow and memory is not up to mark ( machine has 32 GB ) . Please suggest any log file needed . Now working with adaptive resolution and quarter .

I am looking to make a stopwatch timer in AfterEffects with the Slide Control. I want to display minutes, seconds, and milliseconds (00:00:00). Guides are nice, but could be improved to help more with precision. Would be nice if when you dragged a guide out from the rulers, then click on the guide, a text pop up box comes up so you can enter in the precise pixels you want the guide to be. Or maybe right click on the vertial or horizontal rulers to add a precise guide.

After Effects can't be hidden on OSX during rendering, especially on my second monitor. During render sessions i can't get to any window in other apps on my 2nd. screen.Also with the program switcher (cmd + Tab) most of the time it switches only one monitor.Would be extremely cool if this could be fixed.bestChristof

Doing several animations with mutiple characters layered in a main comp. Each character is in its own individual comp. I have a viewer open for the main comp and each of the individual character's comps. When I adjust the playhead in the main comp the preview time for each sub comp updates to the new playhead time. When I am working in a character's sub comp and adjust the playhead the time preivew for that character's comp updates and the time preview for the main comp updates to the new time BUT the other character's comp time preview does not update! How do you make the playhead position or preview time sync across all sub comps? It is really important to be able to adjust one character in relation to another and see how they are reading together in the main comp.  I have have the Synchronize Time of All Related Items preference checked but that is not working for the subcomps. Is this a new problem? I don't remember this being a issue in years past. &n

Something fishy is going on with AE. Hi Forum. I have an object in my AE canvas, which is 200pix x 200 pixs, And I need to export it as a PNG file. Is there a command like in photoshop which once you delete the background and see all the transparent pixesl, you go to the menu, Image> Trim. And makes a perfect trim around your selection? Thank you.

when i zoom in and out on my timeline it occasionally moves all of my layers and makes them appear off beat, if i zoom in and out again it moves back? confused

2025년 버전은 다름이름으로 저장할때 최하위버전이 2023버전까지 저장이 되던데 그 밑의 하위버전으로는 따로 저장이 안되나요?

I have a rather simple clip of a woman standing in front of a solid color wall that I'm trying to rotobrush.  However, when I go to brush on it, the screen continually flickers black and doesn't draw the pink lines it's supposed to.  When I stop drawing, AE sort of spazzes out, and after that even if I delete the Rotobrush effect, I don't get proper playback or even scrubbing.  I can even switch to other comps or projects. I've trashed prefs to no avail. The behavior persists.  AE behaves for me otherwise making motion graphics. My AE is up to date, this behavior happens even after a fresh reboot.  Decent custom system with an RTX 2070 Super GPU, 4K monitor.

I've made an arb param which has a simple struct of an A_long and a fixed length wchar_t[]. It's mostly set up and modified from the colorgrid sample. In both plugins the arbitrary handler function gets called many dozens of times, in the same sequence, starting off with lots of calls to PF_Arbitrary_DISPOSE_FUNC and PF_Arbitrary_COPY_FUNC (i.e. 22122122...),  followed by a much longer sequence of those two, then PF_Arbitrary_FLAT_SIZE_FUNC and PF_Arbitrary_FLATTEN_FUNC (i.e. 1234...1234...1234...etc).  This very long cycling appears to be going on over Sequence Setup and update params functions, which ultimately seems to be messing with my somewhat complicated, but was fully working UI code.  Perhaps jamming AE up somehow. My arb has no UI of its own, it's inivisible and unsupervised with no ECW.  Is there a way to get Arb parameters to behave more efficiently? Currently it just looks crazy -- in the Colorgrid sample, I count 3648 call

I created a comp with 3d layers and Im trying to animate a camera moving around the environment I have created. I have only 1 camera and its the top layer of my comp. Everytime I try to render, it only renders the static "active camera" view. How can I specify which camera view to render? Using AE CC ver 15.0 Thanks!

Is it possible to repeat a shape layer (let say a filled square) and have it follow a non-linear motion path (or other shape layer)?It looks like a shape layer's Repeater can only duplicate in a line?

I'm working on a project and need this 3D logo rotating 360 degrees in perpetuity. This logo was imported from Illustrator as a 2D object then converted to 3D and extruded. To make this rotate, I am using a basic keyframe command for 360 rotation on the object's Y-axis. This succeeds in making the object rotate 360 degrees, but not from its center. It instead rotates with the anchor in the back portion of the logo. It's as if one side is the anchor and the other side is moving clockwise around that, but the object itself isn't rotating from its center as I need it to. As I thought about this while I was at work, I now suspect this is because the thickness of this object is coming from its extrusion depth, and the anchor point of the Y-axis is remaining in the location of its 2D form, instead of being in the center of the 3D extrusion (not sure that I'm right about that). In any case, every tutorial I've looked at for this really simple effect uses virtually the same

I am currently attempting to make a intro in Adobe After Effects for my youtube intro starting with a crack effect then having a flame logo type entrance. I am currently making a crumbling type effect by using the "Shatter" effects. that looks something like this,from the center of the crack i want it to start crumbling than revealing the crack as it crumbles throughout. But I don't know how. Someone please explain before I go insane I have been experimenting with this for over 7 hours.

Hi everyone,I’ve been dealing with strange crashes in AE 25.4 for weeks now, even when doing the most basic things. I started by running the Adobe CC Cleaner to remove and reinstall everything, but that didn’t help. Last night I went further and completely wiped my computer, then did a clean install of the latest Creative Cloud and Adobe suite, but AE is still crashing nonstop.Sometimes I get error notifications, but most of the time AE just shuts down without warning. Here’s what I’ve tried so far:Cleared cacheDisabled multi-frame renderingSet cache drive to SSDRolled back Nvidia driver to a version from May 2025 (still crashes)Opened AE 2024 (also crashes)Reinstalled Windows 11 and Creative cloudremoved third party plugins At this point I’m wondering if I should roll back AE 2025 itself, the GPU drivers, or both, but not sure to which versions. Hello, since I have a bunch of layers to handle, I wanted to pre-compose them to organize the workspace.However, the 3d layer won't work when I pre-compose them. Am I supposed to turn the collapse transformations off?

 Hi everyone, I want to illustrate football passes on top of a photo (or a still frame from a video) of a football pitch in After Effects. The problem is that the pitch is not flat, it’s in perspective (shot from the stands). I already know how to draw and animâtes passes (lines or arrows) but I want them look like they are lying on the ground of the pitch and make sure they respect the 3D perspective (not just flat shapes). I tried using 3D orientation and also Corner Pin, but I can’t make it look right.What’s the simplest way to make my passes follow the perspective of the field? Thanks a lot for your help!
