How do I 'cut' an object (ie. intersect) - I am totally new to Dim (and need to have this fast!). I looked online, and wasnt able to find an answer (yet) Specifically, it's a replaceable head razor model that I want to split into handle and blade (right now model is just ane piece)

Hi there!Where can I purchase an OBJ or similar representing a 0.5 liter beverage can in perfect quality? The latter means especially smooth round shapes to me. Or is this a »technically impossible« demand?Virtually every OBJ I tried gives me jagged curves and rims (as shown in the screenshot) when rendered, which is not acceptable for me in this case.Thanks a lot!

When i go to start the application it says: "Does not meet minimum OpenGL version".And thats not true, i did a full system check just to be sure but i do meet all requirements:CPU - i7-4790kGPU - GTX1080Ti (driver up to date also)RAM - 32GBOpenGL - 4.6So... please send help?

What happened? It's been a month and absolutely nothing will open in Dimenions. I can't create a new project, I can't open a previous project and ALL of my mockups are just useless now. This is sooooooo frustrating. It just stays on the load screen and spins on all of my machines.

Hi there,I have uploaded an OBJ file and used my own photo of a background that is indoors with no windows. I have matched the objects to the background. I have turned off the sunlight effect to create the shadows I want from the image. The shadow opacity is at 100% and shows in the design window. However, the shadows are not showing in the render preview. I have also tried rendering to see if this appears and sadly it does not.Does anyone have any idea on how to fix this? I am unable to post pictures on here due to confidentiality.thanks,

Running the latest version (3.4.1) as of today on Mac. I have the all apps subscription and all other apps I've tried work fine. It's only Dimension. When I open it works fine for about 15 seconds, then I get the message Check Creative Cloud StatusUse the Creative Cloud application to sign in, begin a trial, or purchase Dimension. Learn more about the requirements. Dimension will now close. Once I press OK, it closes.

I have two obejects in adobe dimensions a cylider and a cube. Is it possible to turn off the shadows for only one of the objects ? Thank you for your help. 

your product is very good for product rendering on white background for site. If you added the Guides tool. Such as in photoshop. it will help to align the goods nicely while keeping the proportions much faster. 

Hi!I'm a Dimension user and i've struggled with the no meta data on Dimension projects. Even render images are not even credit being done by Adobe Dimension. I've check it on Mac Finder or Preview app and... nothing there. What a shame.I don't know if Substance Stager does it but i think it's a gap to filled on a future Dimension update.Adding on the "File" menu the "File Info" options as Photoshop, Illustrator or other Adobe application has.Please Adobe, try to do it very soon.

Hello,I am trying to upload an adobe dimension 3d model to my Shopify website. The file size has to be 15MB or less, and my file is 35 MB. I can not seem to figure out how to reduce the size of the file. I have tried to scale the item, change the canvas size etc. Any advice would be appreciated.  

El programa se queda cargando en la sección de inicio, puedo seleccionar un archivo para abrir pero se queda pensando y ya no sucede nada.Hago click en archivos recientes y tampoco puedo abrirlos, tampoco creando un archivo nuevo.No puedo ni cerrar el programa de manera manual, tengo que hacer force quit. Ya intenté desinstalar y instalar una versión anterior y pasa lo mismo, sigue sin funcionar.

when I open the Adobe Dimension program (MacBook Pro, an initial dialog box opens, and when I want to open a file or create a new one, the panel gets stuck, the wheel spins, and the program does not work.It works before and on the some moment it stopped working 😞 Please advise? Hey guys, I would like to thank the team behind Adobe Dimension.  As someone who is busy day to day job (I work in UI/UX and I mostly use Adobe Dimension at night time for packaging freelance works), I find it difficult to do a lot of processes in terms of texture mapping and rendering as other software does. I stopped using a render engine (like Vray) since Adobe Dimension does everything in whatever I need for the packaging process. Kudos to Dimension team!So as I have already done more than 50 packaging works and I realize that it would be super great if we can add sticker mode for the packaging process. Let me explain. When I am doing label design, as everyone does, we will drag the artwork directly on the surface of the box/packaging. However I wish that we could have a height map or default sticker mode so that the sticker we apply will at least has some depth on the surface. Let me know if this is possible!

To import into Dimension, or I can create a 2D object with the views, Front, Left view, Right and Bottom and convert to 3D. For example in Illustrator and save in .OBJ?How can I create a 3D base?

There is a problem that the decal does not appear when I import the sketchup file into dimension. How can I solve this?There was no problem before the update, but it seems that there is such an error after the update

Hello, This is my first time posting in the forum, so apologies if I've done so in the wrong section. I've recently started to use Dimension for some larger interior scenes, but I'm often experiencing noise which I can't seem to overcome. I've included a couple of example images in this post. The first is a clay render, in which everything seems fine, of course. The second is a complete render with materials, and you can see there are sections of noise. This is a CPU render. I can use GPU rendering in Dimension, but on larger renders it just errors out and reverts back to CPU for reasons I'm unsure of. Does anyone have any idea what might be causing these noise zones? Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. Furthermore, if anyone has any knowledge or experience of GPU rendering problems in Dimension, I would appreciate some input. I'm running a GTX 1080 Ti.  Regards,David

When I copy and "paste as instance", I can change the material, decal, etc of one object and all instances will reflect the change. If I resize or scale the object, the instances do not change, only the one selected object changes. I have 64 placed instances. I want to make each one smaller in the "x" dimension only while keeping them all in the same postion. Is this possible?

Was able to successfully create a 3D pack in Dimension that looked great in preview but when I went to render the colors were completely blown out. I tried several different lightings but nothing delivered on the preview. Thoughts?

I am getting the same problem that other users reported: I was working normally with Dimension, but from some weeks on, suddenly I can't open saved files, neither create new ones, nor run the interactive courses. In fact, once open the app, it does not close, I have to go through the task manager to end up the app. The rest of Adobe CC installed apps runs normally. My computer fits all the requisites to run Dimension (and it did it, until it crashed), and I reinstalled both Dimension app and the whole Creative Suite.I've not seen any answer to other users that suits my problem... Please, help!

Hello, if I try to export a GLTF, the result are three files.- filename_binary.bin 37,6 MB but I can’t open it.- image folder- filename.gltf but has only 17 KBCan anyone help me? 

Adobe Dimensions - I'm suddenly forgetting how to "cut hole" in a 3d object.  for example:  cutting a hole that passes through a sphere (or a cube, etc).   I recall that the steps included- grouping the objects (for example, a sphere, with a cylinder that passes through the sphere)- then applying a mask, or some other effect, to "hide" the cylinder. the effect I'm going for is to subtract the cylinder shape from the sphere, so that a "hole" is cut through the sphere. frustrating... I recall beiing able to do this before.  but can't remember and can't find previous tutorials thank you!

GPU rendering is turned on in preferences, yet my GPU doesn't go over 10% utilization even for renders taking around 9 minutes. The temperature of the GPU does climb about 20° C during the renders and the clock frequency ramps up as shown in MSI afterburner, but the task manager window never shows more than 10% utilization the whole time. I've seen comments like this for premiere Pro and After Effects going back at least two years in the Adobe community forums, but I have yet to find an answer as to why this happens, or how to fully utilize the GPU. For reference, I am using a TUF 4070 TI with a 5900X and 64GB 3200MHz CL 16 RAM. Your assistance is appreciated.
