Just sharing another annoying thing about Illustrator. The solution was to delete this line of text and copy over a correctly sized string. I’m one version back because 30.7 created a nightmare of memory issues. I will not try to update until we move past 30.7, and even then, it will be with great trepidation, as I’ve lost entire days to nightmare issues that crop up with new updates.

Hello,I would like to make a design of a wall (containing some stairs), like this :I would like to put the design on this wall on an A4 page in landscape mode.The problem is :I need to have the exact length for each stair of the wall. I need to have this type of arrow to indicate the length of each stair.Does Illustrator is the best adobe tool in order to do that, and how to do it exactly (step by step) ?

Hi there I am assisting a client of ours with a GPU error that is being received whilst he is in Illustrator. He is one of the marketing designers for the company. The device specifications are: Dell Pro Max 16Intel(R) Core(TM) Ultra 7 265H64GB of ramIntel(R) Arc(TM) Pro 140T GPU (32GB)NVIDIA RTX PRO 1000 Blackwell Generation Laptop GPUWhilst using Illustrator he repeatedly receives the following error message, I have gone through the forum and tried all applicable fixes includingSetting the application settings within the Nvidia panel to use the high performance GPU.Updated the Intel Iris drivers.Updated the Nvidia drivers.Uninstalled and reinstalled Adobe Creative Cloud. (Used Revo uninstaller to ensure a clean removal).Attempted the registry fixes.None of them worked, The GPU is also not visible within the Adobe settings as per below,I am unsure as to how to resolve this issue as it is a brand new device. Any advice will be appreciated.

Is there any way to remove the GenAI creation fields from Illustrator’s home screen? It’s just in the way. It’s frustrating to now have to scroll past a massive AI box plus featured ads before I can properly see my recent files list. Either give me an option to hide AI and featured items or at least put them below my recents. They shouldn’t be taking up the screen like this.  

Illustrator 2026 (v30.7) pdfs save with missing text when layers are turned on. Works fine from earlier versions. It’s bizarre. Im also regualrly finding that the colour of certain blocks of text changes on my pdf, then when i reopen my illustrator file, the text now looks the wrong colour and is set to an unknown colour (shows grey with a question mark). I then have to re-set all the colours and check the whole file with a fine-toothed comb.

I downloaded the creative cloud to download adobe acrobat, photoshop, and illustrator. I could download everything except for illustrator. In the creative cloud it only gives me the option to download a mobile version or access via web, but I need the app downloaded. I have a 12 core, 16 gb ram, and 512 ssd. Everything is up to date. Laptop is the new microsoft copilot.

Hello,I have illustrator for iPad and need some help.  I can’t figure out how to create a line within the design, it gives me a dotted pink line that I can’t turn into a stroke.  How can I turn this pink dotted line into a stroke?  I used this tool below to create the dotted line, but now I cannot figure out how to turn it into a regular stroke. 

When I try to save an Illustrator file to the cloud it stalls out with the cloud prompt window not fully loading. The only work around I’ve found so far is that I have to create a cloud file on Illustrator for my iPad, then open that on the desktop and copy and paste what I was working on in there. Then I can open it on the iPad again. Very frustrating. 

Hello everyone,I think people have had this issue before on older printers and Mac OS.We’re on Mac OS Tahoe 26.5.2, and we are using Adobe Illustrator and InDesign to print various documents. The printer we are using is the Canon imagePROGRAF GP-6600S, and we’re trying to print directly from these applications. This is the screen we get:  In the media size, the custom size is greyed out.I know there is a workaround, and that’s by going into the Page Setup button at the lower left, but while that works, we’d have to create custom sizes every single time, which isn’t optimal, and just wanted to see if there is a better alternative.If anyone has a solution, we’d greatly appreciate it! Thanks everyone

I work primarily in print design so all of my files are saved into my adobe cloud libraries as CMYK Tiffs. When I go to get an asset from my library every tiff is grayed out with the message "This item is not supported in illustrator".  However if I download the file locally to my desktop and then add it to illustrator it goes in no problem... However I work with hundreds of assets regularly, so this is not a very efficient. Does anyone know why my cc library tiffs do not work in adobe illustrator specifically?

Hola foro, mi problema es basicamente ese, no puedo mover los objetos que selecciono con la flecha negra (v) solo puedo moverlos con las flechas del teclado pero el mouse no me funciona. Puedo escalar, puedo rotar puedo hacer todo menos moverlos (como si estuviesen bloqueados) no tengo agrupados los objetos ni tengo bloqueados, reinicie la pc, reinicie illustrator y no hay caso y me pasa en todos los documentos. SOLUCIÓN por favor!!!

I want to keep the layout clean and consistent without manually resizing every text box and button.Is there a recommended Illustrator workflow for handling variable-length numbers and text while keeping spacing, alignment, and typography consistent? Hi,I have a big color problem between CPU/GPU previews.In GPU preview, the colors become dull, bland. I didn't have this issue before the latest updates when switching between the two.I tried to reinstall an older version, but the problem persists.I am having the problem on both indesign and illustrator.Do you have a solution ?

you can use this process to build other acb files. its pretty straightforward. Lab values must be used. Lab values are pulled from photoshop directly to most closely emulate web appearance. you can replace with your own Lab values via spreadsheet formula or third party source. If your production converts ink output based on Lab values, instead of predefined color libraries, then you will need to source more accurate Lab values, otherwise this book works. this unofficial acb file contains 3220 swatches while the "v4 version" online has only 2140 swatches. https://github.com/aj90909/unofficial-pantone-solid-coated-2024-v5/tree/main

I have Mac OS Sequioa 15.4.1. and Illustrator v29. I do not have a Wacom table of any type, nor do I have any Wacom software.However, upon launch Illustrator says there is a problem with the Wacom driver. To fix this, I have tried:- searching entire hard drive and removing anything named Wacom.- trashing all preference files.Illustrator still defaults to thinkng thiere is a Wacom drive, in preferences. Disabling it and restarting does not fix this.How do I make Illustrator stop whining about Wacom?

I have just bought a brand new MICROSOFT 13" Surface Pro OLED, Copilot+ PC - Snapdragon X Elite, 1 TB SSD I am trying to download illustrator, however, it will not install.  On my creative cloud, it only shows the online beta version (which is not what I want). When I use the browser to download the app, it downloads the set up file.  After double clicking on the set up file (+ trying run as administrator), it just opens my creative cloud again but doesn't install.  I've had a surface pro in the past (one of the earlier models) and it worked absolutely fine.  Help! 

I’ve been experiencing this Illustrator bug for years, and it has consistently behaved the same way.It only happens when I already have one or more Illustrator documents open and then open another file with a broken/missing linked image. If a Gaussian Blur progress window appears in front of the missing-link warning, Illustrator becomes stuck afterward: the dialogs disappear, but the canvas can no longer be interacted with and nearly all menu commands are grayed out. I can still save using cmd+s, and switch between documents, but can’t interact with anything on the canvas. Can click the toolbar too, but it doesn’t change the cursor.If the Gaussian Blur progress window stays behind the missing-link warning, the problem does not occur.It also never happens when the affected file is the first document opened after launching Illustrator.I am currently able to reproduce this in Illustrator 30.7 on macOS.

My apps have been crashing a lot lately, especially Illustrator and After Effects sometimes Photoshop. I have an Asus ROG Strix (2024 version) that i bought last year brand new and upgraded the RAM from 16gig to 32gig. The whole of last year everything was working perfectly only this year the crashes have been really frequent. I did the memory check for the ram and it's fine, also upgraded the graphics drivers but still nothing. What could be the issue?

Its been a year, Illustrator Beta desktop version for Windows ARM which is accessed trhough the Beta tab on Creative Cloud Desktop dissappear. Illustrator Beta browser version is suck so bad. Anybody got solution for this?

少し前からですが、アンカーポイントが使えません丸みを調整したいのですが、調整する線（棒？）が出て来ず困っています。↓現状・パスをクリックしてもアンカーポイントが表示されない・ダイレクト選択ツールをアンカーポイント上に持ってくるとそこだけ表示される・ダイレクト選択ツールでクリックしても調整の線が出てこない・ダイレクト選択ツールでアンカーポイントを動かすと調整の線が出てくるが、離すと消えるので使えないバグなのか、何か間違えて設定してしまったのか分からず、どなたか解決方法ご存知の方がいらっしゃいましたら教えていただけますと幸いです。

When will Illustrator let users set a default font? After 30+ years, I shouldn't have to use Myriad, create templates, or change the font for every project. The software supports this choice; users should be able to set it once.

I am working in Illustrator 2026 and I work on different computers. The issue is, that I always loose my settings (e.g. defined color fields / color settings / general illustrator workspace settings / ...). Unfortunately I havent found a simple solution how to synchronize these settings automatically.Hard to belive but is there really no simple solution to automatically synchronize the settings across multiple workstations? Is it important that I use the very same Illustrator version on every computer? strange as well: Do I really need to re-install Illustrator in order to change language settings? How can I export and Save my Illustrator settings as a file on my computer?Many thanks for your support! Best regards, Silvan
