Hopefully I can make this question make sense.  I need to change the size of the shortest edge of this object. However, because the bounding box is rotated, I'm not able to do it. Clicking "reset bounding box doesn't do anything. Is it possible to make this to where I can just type in th 3.15mm height I need to change the shape?

This feature for editing images is so inadequate.  Everything about it is slow and cumbersome.  Luckily it is possible to select multiple images and choose "unembed", yet why would we need to unembed them just to edit them. Why not select multiple images and simply choose, "Edit in Photoshop"?   Instead, we have to unembed all the images, one by one.  Illustrator has to save all of the images first, but Illustrator tries to name all of the images with the same file name, so that means we have to rename all the images or the 2nd one would overwrite the first, and the 3rd would overwrite the 2nd, and so on.  So after doing all of that, now it's time to edit them in Photoshop.  If you select all of the images, the option to edit in Photoshop is not there.  From within Illustrator you need to select each image 1 by 1 to choose edit in Photoshop.  There's the option of opening the file from the saved location and that's fine, but that's also an e

Hi, I have this area type that is realigning the text to top even if I ask to be centered... Any idea? 

I made a brush with scallops and I'm not happy with the corner. I made a corner tile for my pattern brush. Is it possible to make te corner smaller so the scallops are placed apart the same amounth as in my straight pattern brush? Now the corners look to empty. 

Does anyone know about a "enter a numeric value" feature for guides?  Or does anyone a run-around to adjust guides in absolute values. I don't trust my fingers or my mouse to that freehand. Thanks for any help,Ross 

Hello Community!I've got my own, personalised workspace set which now seems to be gone. A couple of days ago I opened a file and Illustrator just on it's own defaulted to Essentials Classic as the workspace.I went into 'Window> Workspace' to reset to my personalised one, and found it missing from the dropdown (I'm inluding a screenshot below, which shows that there's now only Illu's dfefault workspaces avaliable, no custom ones showing).If anyone knows why this might be and if tehre's a way to restore my custom workspace, rather than having to re-set all over again, I'd be grateful if you could share your wisdom! ❤️  

Every time I use my Wacom tablet, Illustrator 30 (2026) crashes (Apple M3 on OS Sequoia). I removed all preferences and installed the latest wacom driver, but nothing has helped. The only way to use the tablet is to reinstall the Illustrator 2025 version. I thought it's good to share this. Maybe someone has an idea how to solve this.

I am having an issue with the Appearance Tab Auto closing.This happens whenever I leave the Artboard. I know it did not do this in the past. One check based on a Google Ai search is to clear the cache. However, the cache is not where it shows to be. Just got a new MacBook Pro M5 with Tahoe 26.2. Now Illustrator 2026 30.1 gives this warning about starting in Rosetta mode, asking me to start in ARM-mode instead, but I have no idea how to do that. The provided link gives no clues, and there's no checkbok for Rosetta in Get Info for the Illustrator app. Any ideas?

 I am experiencing an issue where links repeatedly break and then letters disappear at the end of the linked file names. After relinking, saving, and then re-opening the Illustrator file, the links break/unlink again. When this happens, I'm then unable to see any artwork (it appears blank/white) unless I view in Outline mode. All of the artwork is still present. Also "View using GPU" becomes greyed out.I've tried copying and pasting artwork to a new blank template file (which I've used many times without issue before) but the issue is replicated.I tried restarting my computer, uninstalling and reinstalling Illustrator, and deleting preferences. None have helped.It seems to be related to linking images specifically because the vector artwork alone copies over fine. I have two Mac in office with system Tahoe, in one, a Mac Studio I can dock the toolbars to the main window of Illustrator in the other one no (a Mac Mini) and I can dock them only to the sides of the screen... I really don’t understand why... I have tryed all the settings of Illustrator and the Mac system

Does anyone else have this problem? I'm trying to use the AI partner models for the text to vector. But they don't seem to work. Only the Firefly models work. I'm using illustrator 30.1.

Recently reliase latest Illustrator v30.1 cannot open file generate by v29, at first i thought its problem in between Mac and PC,  then i upgrade my AI version to updated one which is v30.1, and then i found, same issue happen to me.  Please get the engenerring to fix this bug, thank you. Yen

Last month Adobe cloud went down and affected the performance of all Adobe software. As someone who lives in Tokyo this happened in the morning, in other words other users across the globe may have not experienced this issue.  Initially not knowing that Cloud was down, I troubleshoot everything, until my art director told me what has happened and told me to use adobe software offline.It was then to my shock the difference in speed and performance when using Adobe, especially illustrator in my case, offline.Even until know, whenever I experience lag, I restart the software but offline, and all the performance issues dissapear. The point of this post is to turn the developers focus away from the idea that performance issues are caused by our own hardware, and towards the fact that the issue not only lies in the software, but also in Adobe's cloud servers, and software n cloud connectivity. To any users experiencing performance issues, I highly recommend using Adobe of

Illustrator opens normally, but when I try to open my first .ai file it freezes around 70% and stops responding. I have to force quit and restart. I tried moving the file to my desktop, but the same thing happens. I updated today, and this wasn’t an issue before the update.

Share for review comments are somtimes misaligned - about 5mm below the actual comment.In the case of text errors usually few lines below the actual error-comment. Web inteface shows the comments in the right place, but something bad happens when illustrator reads the comments back in. Its presistent in every illustrator version i have. The same bug keeps following me in different illustartor versions. Im not sure what is causing this. One time i suspected some file specific bug, but it keeps reappearing in newly created files. Might it be related to bleed settings? I dont know. But tis bug makes share for review feature quite ununseable for serious design professionals.

Hi!Normally I create any mockups I need in photoshop, but I want to learn how to do it in illustrator. I downloaded a file from Adobe stock of a polo shirt mockup, the preview it looks like a polo shirt, but when I download the file it's all the pieces of the shirt on one artboard. Have opened Illustrator to find the Pantone Connect plugin (version 1.0.10 installed) to see that it fails to start up; opened Creative Cloud to see there is an update avialable, however have tried numerous times and Creative Cloud keeps coming up with an "Error code -17" message. I've had the premium subscription for a number of years now, with logging in and using the plugin without any problems. Done the usual; quit and restarted AI and CC, restarted Mac etc. and still the same error code appears. Causing me numerous workflow issues not being able to use or update the plugin...  What else can I try?
