Hi All,I have to implement the functionality to modify/update paragraph style without text range selection.  Is there any other way to do this?  Thanks in advance.

I have created a Table Style which includes all the relevant Cell styles for Header and Body and Paragraph styles for each. When I create a new table the cell styles are completely ignored and the cell style is [none]+ any help here would be great, I just want to create a table that uses my styles, thank you

Hello, while working on an InDesign template, I noticed that the reading orderin Acrobat generates some empty fields/boxes. Here is the picture: Here is how it looks in the reading panel: Is it possible to prevent the creation of these within InDesign? Here is how the story looks inside InDesign: The :: at the end of the line are from DataMerge unused placeholder and while it generates an entry in Tags panel, it do not bother me so much as opposed to the empty fields with no values:Please, let me know if the generation of these empty values can be prevented.Best regards, David

I've been using InDesign for like a decade. In all that time "Dynamic Spelling" function has always been terrible for Turkish language. It underlines some words which are correct in every way bu then again skips some words which are totally wrong. Besides, it makes horrible suggestions for underlined words. Take a look at the screenshot, for example. The word "kuruyemiş" is a combined word which is written without a space. However, it not only underlines the word but also suggest a list of variations which are ALL WRONG. It seems like all the misspelled versions of this word has been entered into the dictionary as "correct" at some point in the past, and InDesign has been using the same dictionary for years. I am tired of copying everything into Word, make a proper spellcheck, and then again insert the text into Indesign.  Don't you think it's about time someone update the dictionary in Turkish? Captions..How to increase or decrease photo and caption that is inset into text (or if not.. same problem either way) and ensure caption stays the same size (have set a paragraph style already). Have tried combinations of shift and command, have tried paragraph style with a style after. Have tried object styles.Captions are static generated with metadata inserted in Bridge.Can't be live captions as some captions are two lined. Thanks. 

I’ve created a book layout for a novel (A5) approx. 200 pages with 31 chapters. They are single pages not facing pages. I’ve done the page numbers and also have the book title at the top of each page (created on the A master page) but I want to put the title of each chapter at the top of each odd numbered page. Do I need 31 parent pages? Any suggestions as to how to do this whilst keeping the page numbering running correctly? Thanks!

The File menu offers "Print booklet," but this refers to the currently-focused document only. How do you print your whole book that way?

Jag har jobbat i Indesign 2022. Nu har jag uppdaterat till senaste versionen och hittar då inte mina filer från den äldre versionen. Hur kan jag öppna gamla filer i den nya versionen? / Jenny

Since updating all of my Adobe products to the most recent, InDesign does not import JPG files adjusted in PS 27.0.0. A message comes up Error encountered while reading JPEG image. Image may be damaged or incompatible. Resave the image with different setting and try again. I resave, rename, make copies, and still not luck. Very frustrating.  

Hy there,I have the following problem: Anchored elements are missing in the PDF (whether interactive or for print) when the anchor is located on a different page and inside a table. The anchored elements only appear when the anchor is inside a text box or when both the element and its anchor are on the same page.Does anybody know if this is a bug, or am i doing something wrong?Thx

As duas últimas versões do InDesign têm sido impossíveis de trabalhar. Apesar de a máquina ser compatível, ele não dá conta do trabalho e fica lento demais. Apenas eu não estou conseguindo trabalhar com ele?... 😞 Alguém tem alguma sugestão para me ajudar? Uso o Windows 11.Obrigada!

IWaxStrand::GetTextIndexToWaxLineData is being used to obtain coordinates.It seems to work fine, but when tables with two or more rows exist, it doesn't seem to work properly. I received the following warning in an SEC filing:WRN: INVALID_PDF_TAGMSG: In xxxxxx.pdf: found an invalid PDF tag (ATTACHED EmbeddedFile OBJECT/EXECUTABLE (EF in COSDictionary)).If I regenerate the PDF, the warning disappears. The file was originally exported from Adobe InDesign 2021.Could you explain what causes this warning, and how I can prevent it when exporting a PDF from InDesign?

When using Adobe InDesign and clicking the link to open InCopy on the Web beta, the link opens in Microsoft Edge. Instead of loading the document, an “Incompatible Browser” message appears. What should I do?

I am testing the share for text editing feature for my team and having issues. I saved the document like it asked and added a couple of non designer colleagues. One of them tested the feature, was asked to login, so they made an adobe account but was faced with the following error. Now on my side they are still appearing as pending on the share document window.Is there something I or they need to do to make this document accessible to them?    

インデザイン2024（19.5.5)を使用しています。オブジェクトが分断されるバグがあるのですが、同じようなバグが起きている報告を見かけません。一時的なものなので、拡大縮小をすれば解決します。 また、スクロールしても画面が変わらないバグも起きます。こちらはファイルを開き直せば解決します。 これは使用しているパソコンが古いのが原因なのでしょうか？インデザインが原因であれば解決法を知りたいです。 使用しているiMacはiMac (Retina 5K, 27-inch, Late 2015)です。

I updated to InD 2026 today (on 12/17/25) and am already ready to go back to InD 2025.  So far ... Even though I properly save and close a document before exiting InD, the next time I open InD, I get a message that says that the same document is damaged and would I like to open anyway.InD 2026 is not remembering my choices.  I have to reset to my preferred workspace each time I open. When I save and close a document only using the keyboard, the whole program closes instead.InD also won't hold my View setting. I like to work with Overprint Preview on all the time (I have plenty of RAM), but it won't stick. These are things I've noticed just in one day. Anyone else having trouble? Is it worth sticking it out? Does it get any better? 

Ciao a tutti, dopo aver effettuato l'aggionramento all'ultima versione di Indesign noto un comportamento anomalo della finestra del programma. Se richiamo per esempio la finestra del browser in primo piano, poi clicco nuovamente sulla finestra di Indesign per richiamarla e spostarla, questa sparisce sotto e non c'è modo di riportarla in primo piano. Per fare questo non devo cliccare tipo due volte ma premere una volta sola con il puntatore e trascinarla. È normale questo comportamento?
