Questions

I am working with several editors in a Premiere production. Our production and all project files are stored on Lucid Link, and our media is on local attached storage on every editor's respective computer. A few times a day, Premiere generates an error that there are duplicate projects, even though no one created any duplicates. The solution is always to make a copy of the project that is supposedly duplicate, as indicated in the txt file premiere generates, and send the original to the trash. What is causing this, and how can i prevent it?

I updated a project to 2026, but every single edit operation results in a five second beachball - insert edit, overwrite edit, ripple delete, Track select forward & drag, etc.    All these operations beachball and no input works, then eventually the operation happens.   None of this happens when I open the original project in 2025. I’ve reset cache, updated Blackmagic RAW plugin, restarted computer and app, to no avail. Mac Studio M1, macOS 15.7.2, Premiere 2026.0.1

Adobes Podcase enhancer site is great. I can basically plug in crappy audio, and I thnk it jsut AI clones the voice and spits at a clone with all the background issues gone. I’m wondering...does this exist within Premiere? I looked within the Essential Sound panel but I dont see it an any obvious place. please and thank you!

Font is jagged, cant seem to understand why though - Every text looks like this a bit, some more than others, but in essence all of them have issues, especially the ones with diagonal lines like the A, N, R, V etc My video seems a bit interlaced as well - so weird. I switched recently from a 2060 super to a 7900xtx - could the GPU be the issue here? I thought AMD was the overall best regarding video editing…  

I have been migrating a huge Premiere project into a Production. I’m new to Productions.I’ve been saving sequences as individual projects in the production. So far so good. But what I don’t understand is what to do with my project’s music and graphics assets. When I make a normal project, I make bins in the project that mirror the folders on my disk: 02 Media03 Graphics04 Music …. and so on. So far, I’ve been migrating the “02 Media” sub-bins one by one and turning them into projects in the production. But what do I do with the graphics and music? I want these to be available to all the projects in the production - as they have been in the (very huge) project. Help! (I’ve been avoiding learning this for years, but with years’ worth of footage for this project now, it’s time to move over!)

I am having a bizarre issue. Currently editing a 3 angle multicam sequence on latest version of Premiere (v25.2.0) on an M2 Macbook. I am editing with a drive that only contains my footage as 576p ProRes proxies. All of the footage and audio is on this one drive.  I have placed my multicam clip into the timeline and it plays smoothly. If, however, I go into multicam mode to switch between angles easily, the playback lags and stutters to a point that it's not really possible to work. One might think that this is a speed issue where my computer for some reason can't handle 3 feeds playing back at the same time, but this does not seem to be the case. If I close out multicam mode and double click on my multicam clip in the timeline, the multicam will open in the Source window. In the Source window, all three angles in the multicam sequence play out flawlessly and smooth. When I playback from the timeline, however, it is still totally choppy and laggy. I haven’t seen this before. Same lighting, same camera settings (full manual wb and exposure, though af might have been on) but this time my host’s blue shirt seems to “blink” between a deep blue and more of a purple. Not exactly rhythmic, and not necessarily tied to his movements. I don’t see this in other colors, and I do see it in the scopes. I don’t recognize it as moire, but maybe it’s a weird variation? I’ve tried hue and sat shifts to no avail. Maybe some interference pattern between the sensor and the somewhat lesser quality LED point source key light. We might have to live with it this time on YouTube, but I sure would like to prevent it in the future. Lumix GH6, 4k, 10b 422 All-i on a 1080 timeline. I’ll try a quick export and see if the downsampling makes a difference. If I apply a denoise filter to a track in the Audio Track Mixer, it only works as long as I don’t click away from Premiere to another app, or the Finder. When I return, the effect no longer works and I need to re-apply it each time. Anyone else have the issue?

I went to go nudge an audio clip in the timeline by one frame using alt+left/right yesterday (like I always do) and it is no longer working. The keyboard shortcut for nudging a clip by five frames left and right still works, and nudging up and down still works, but not nudging one frame left or one frame right. I’ve tried uninstalling and reinstalling premiere, resetting the original settings, etc. and nothing works. How can I fix this?

I know it's a silly one but I'm working on Premiere and sometimes I use that menu. It opens downwards from where I click and since I click it only when I'm on the bottom of the screen, the menu only shows some options and an arrow down to display the rest. What I want to do is to make the menu open using all the screen it needs in order to show every option. I know that's possible, I mean every other app does that. Hey all, I did some quick research on this but came up short. I’ve got voiceover recording working directly into the timeline, and Premiere is automatically laying down the files as expected, but the naming convention seems odd.Right now each take is being named things like:    •    Audio 3    •    Audio3_1    •    Audio3_2    •    Audio3_3and so on.What I’d like instead is to define a custom base name, for example:    •    Voiceovers_1    •    Voiceovers_2    •    Voiceovers_3Basically I’m wondering:Is there a place in Premiere where I can control the filename prefix for voiceover recordings before they are created?I checked Preferences (Timeline, etc.) but didn’t see anything obvious there.Also:Is this naming controlled globally, per sequence, or per track?Trying to keep things clean because I’m doing a lot of VO passes and would rather not end up with a pile of generically named audio files later.Appreciate any guidance.

I shot some 59.94 footage on a Canon R6II with the intention of interpreting it as 23.976 for solmo. The footage was shot with 1/125 shutter speed. I have done this with no problem many times. When I interpret the footage to 23.976 and create a new sequence using these clips, when I play the footage if feels like 12fps. When I shuttle frame-by-frame through the clip, every other frame is duplicate. I have tried to replicate the problem by recording new clips on the R6II and the footage slows done fine and looks slow and smooth as it should.. Is there a setting or something I missed that could be causing the duplicate frames?

We just got a new PC with Premiere Pro 2025 Version 25.0.0 (Build 61).  When I import .mts files and drag them onto the timeline there is no audio track (on a known good file - checked in VLC).  We've got an older system with Version 24.6.1 (Build 2) that doesn't have any trouble with the same .mts file.   I was able to convert the file to .mp4 using VLC and edit the program successfully in 25.5.0, but that's time consuming.  Is there a way to get 25.0.0 to accept .mts files?   PC - Dell Precision 5860 Tower OS - Windows 11 Pro for Workstations, Version 24H2 Basic steps - Import known good .mts file, drag from bin to timeline Expected results - A video track AND an audio track

I’m using Adobe Premiere Pro version 26 and attempting to cut out a person using the Object Mask tool.I select the Object Mask tool, drag over the person in the Program Monitor, and Premiere correctly detects the subject. The mask then appears under Unassigned Masks.I drag that mask to Opacity, but instead of isolating the subject, I only see a white outline of the mask on a black background. The person is not cut out and there is no fill applied.I’ve also tried inverting the mask, but the result is the same—just the white outline with a black background.So far I haven’t seen other editors reporting this issue with the Object Mask workflow in version 26.What step might I be missing to properly isolate the subject?

When click shift + 3 always effect control just opend wherewher it was. Now it appears as a new window. It makes a lot of tabs and the shortcut useless

Font is being cut off from the box height on premiere pro iPhone. Only way I know how to lower the font size is to pinch down but that also shrinks the font box. Any suggestions? 

Hi There, (Kevin!)I am running a Mac Studio Ultra M1 - 64 gig ram, running off a Graid on 2K Arri .movs and switched to '25 and I can't hear the audio its dropping out so much. I am unable to edit. Its coming straight out the mac Studio speakers so no external complications. The audio that is dropping out is 48K 24 bit. I set the project setting to 32bit float, can I change the project audio setting back to 24 after I have ingested into '25?Can't find anywhere to do that...Any other suggestions - I have tried the obvious ones, ram, video playback quality,  render audio in timeline...emoji man shrugging...Rupert

Hello, I tried to contact the support team via mails but it is a epic fail… So I try on the community forums. I am running Windows 11 with last version of Premiere Pro v26, I got a Decklink 8K Pro G2 interface and a Blackmagic Video Assist HDR monitor. I have a project set up for HDR with correct settings, and I am using the "Bars and tone" generator to create a PQ color bars. The sequence settings in Color Management tab indicate "Direct PQ (HDR)" and I have mercury enabled and set to my Blackmagic Decklink 8K Pro to Color Gamut Rec.2020 PQ.When I display the generated bars it looks correct on the Vectorscope of the Lumetri Scopes (set to Rec.2100 PQ), but on the Vectorscope of the BlackMagic Video Assistm colors seems off (the Video Assist mention that it is receiving Rec.2020 - ST2084 (1000) signal from the HDMI. A close up of the Video Assist: Just for testing purpose, if I tried to add a "Full to legal 10 bits" effect on the color bars and the result on the Blackmagic Video Assist

Any video I upload gets the 'audio playback failed' error message (and says Premiere Pro could not start audio playback errror code 1609891836) when you click play. The app doesn't recognise audio in any of my videos and wouldn't even play. Please see attached image. Can you please help me troubleshoot?

Hi everyone, I am having troubles importing subtitles into Premiere, as italics disappears (it is visibile as <i></i> in Notepad and on subtitles softwares such as Subtitle Edit). If I re-enter it manually on Premiere, it works. I am following this procedure: https://helpx.adobe.com/premiere-pro/using/working-with-captions.html and exporting my subtitles in Subtitle Edit as .srt with encoding UTF8 with boom. The weird thing is that some months ago I did the exact same thing (imported .srt into Premiere) and everything worked out, there were no issues with italics. Can anyone help me? Is it maybe due to a Premiere update or something?Thanks 

When I hit Shift+2 more than once in a row, Premiere starts flicking through previous clips in the Source Monitor. I want to disable this, and I’ve successfully done so in the past. Now, I can’t work out how to.Gemini tells me the function I need to disable is “Open Clips in Separate Tabs” but it’s consistently telling me the wrong places to find it. Does anybody know which I can find this option? (although knowing Gemini, it might be making the whole name up too) (for what it’s worth, I’ve double checked, and Source Monitor is definitely the only command mapped to Shift+2)

Hi,Whenever I try to save an effect preset and want to use it in effect settings, its not there. I think its bugged. How do I fix it??
