Hello,We have recently upgraded from Adobe RH 2019 classic version to RH 2022 version a nd need some help on creating output preset for Responsive HTML5 outputs. We are having multiple RH projects that we work on, we have customizwd the output profile for a single project, but since we have multiple RH projects and translation projects, we have to individually customize presets in each project. Is there a way to import that customized preset to different projects so that it just saves time and the output remains same throughout. Any updates will be helpful on this issue. Thanks.

I have created a Robohelp preset output using Azure Blue screen and we have been testing this output on our device 7-8 inch screen.. The width of the TOC column appears correct when we view on web screen the size increases when we view iton the device. It occupies around 3/4th of the screen. Is there a way by which we can adjust the width of the TOC to make it responsive for the device. I'm not willing to convert and use the frameless skin as it will involve customizing the entire preset. #robohelp2022, #toc
I am on RoboHelp R2026.01.11 and experiencing an issue with the Mini Toc in Frameless output, which is throwing an Invalid Resource error. The links work properly when Help is accessed locally, but when accessed via the Azure Storage location, the following error occurs:"<Error> <Code>InvalidResourceName</Code> <Message>The specifed resource name contains invalid characters. RequestId:c038a57b-001e-00cd-7012-95711d000000 Time:2026-02-03T13:41:42.3999397Z</Message> </Error>" I have searched the RH forums, searched AI and the webI have tried: removing illegal characters from headings changing headers to h3 only for mini toc shortening the length of filenamesDoes anyone else have any ideas, please?Thank youM
When generating Simplified Chinese and Korean CHM files in RoboHelp (RH) 2022, character encoding issues (garbled text) occur. Specifically, the Table of Contents (TOC) is corrupted, with some characters being replaced by question marks ("?").I have verified the language settings, but no issues were found. I contacted Adobe Support, and they responded that "generating files that depend on the OS language is a specification of the current version."However, CHM files generated with RH 2019 [Moderator edit - Classic] did not depend on the OS language settings. Is there a way in RH 2022 to generate CHM files that are independent of the OS language?
Using RH version 2022.6.34 with the Oceanic template on the Home Page setting, we notice that our Titles are longer than the default title-box width. In the screenshot below, is there a way to dynamically adjust the box size to fit the length of our Titles?Thank you SO MUCH in advance.

Hello, when upgrading from rh2019 classis of a merged project originalle with chm output, my links to external project do not work anymore.eg aanvragen01.chm::/Wat_is_objectcreatie_.htm is a link, must be replaced by something else.to which file should I point is my first question…if i choose link to local file and navigate to../../../../output/mergedProjects/Aanvragen01/Wat_is_objectcreatie_.htmI get an error; ‘Your file couldn’t be accessed’, although the preview is shown when determining the linkI also have an error when compiling :Skipped copying external file "C:/RH/output/mergedProjects/Aanvragen01/Wat_is_objectcreatie_.htm"which is a bit strange as it is not needed to be copied, but anyhow the path is not right (rimses in the beginning is missing)...I don’t know where to correct that.when I navigate with a browser to the place, I can open the fileC:\RH\rimses\output\mergedProjects\Aanvragen01 I’m getting the feeling I’m missing somemthing stupid.Hopefully you can shed your light
Hi all,I just took over a nighmare RH project using RH2020. I have not used RH in a long time, and I'm stumped. This project has 5-6 nested levels in some places... so the paths can be very long. We are getting errors when trying to extract the source files. I ended up having to download the project to my C: root. This path length issue apparently prevents all of the output from compiling (as per previous writer). I decided the best place to start was just to go thru the project and shorten the folder and file names. I did this from within RH, NOT via Explorer. However, when I try to then copy the revised project up to my Documents>My RoboHelp Projects folder, I'm getting the same errors for path length - on folders that I have definitely renamed (from within RH itself). These folders show up when I search in Explorer, but no where to be found if I search in RH (please see attached image). I suppose I could d
I have a parent project and several child projects. I generate output using the merged projects feature. Upon publishing the output, the TOC is visible in the left pane only for 2 of the child projects. When I access a topic from subsequent child projects, the TOC and the breadcrumbs disappear. I have customized the Studio template using RH’s UI to change the color settings, some font settings, etc. This issue didn’t occur until 2 weeks ago. I have tried using an unedited Studio frameless template and regenerating the merged output from scratch to a clean folder. I use the Topic Layout globally from the output preset in the parent project. I’ve included images for reference - tocBrdCrmbVisible, chld3TopicClk, and tocBrdCrmbDisappear.
Hello, I am requesting help in resolving issues with output published using RH’s Frameless Studio template.I updated to RH's 2026.01.11 version to publish content using the Frameless Studio template. The Search bar now overlaps the Header title. How can I change the template settings so it doesn't overlap? In the earlier version, the search bar appeared only when the search icon was clicked, and the title would temporarily disappear. I want to replicate this behavior. I’ve attached ‘before’ and ‘after’ update images for reference. I have a parent project and several child projects. I generate output using the merged projects feature. Upon publishing the output, the TOC is visible in the left pane only for 2 of the child projects. When I access a topic from subsequent child projects, the TOC and the breadcrumbs disappear. Posting this as an image from same question asked on Confluence forum. Latest version of RoboHelp involved. Apparently too much to ask the forum to provide image zoom. Open image in new tab and zoom. Sigh….
Hello, Normally, the "In This Topic" section of the Frameless output has links to the H1, H2, H3, and H4 styles, and links to them as such, without using bookmarks. See an example of the filepath/webpage URL that pops up for a normal topic when clicked in the "In This Topic" section. Now, see below an example of the page that is failing. I believe it is throwing Error 403 Forbiddens to our customers because it is using bookmarks (and incomplete ones, at that) to try and call the section of the page. How do I fix this?
A new problem has arisen: When I click the Search icon, it properly moves to the left side of the screen, but the Search text box appears squashed. For example:from thisto this I tried to describe this problem in an earlier post, but it seems to have disappeared.I’ve been comparing specs between this project and another that works just fine, but haven’t found any differences. Also, I checked for and have accepted updates.
This is a new issue: I click on the Search box and it jumps from the left side of the screen way over the the right. It still works, but it also looks like it crashed into a wall.Any ideas what happened and how to fix?Thank you,Lon
Hi, I am able to export the XLIFF file, once i send this exported translation file to the translation vendor i received the XLIFF file which is converted to another language and when i try to import the same in the project where I am translating the files i am receiving a warning message as 'Please select a valid language folder'. Please could you help me resolve this issue or is there
Hi RoboHelp team,We are seeing a reproducible issue with Responsive HTML5 WebHelp search pagination where the Previous (<) button updates the footer count but does not re-render the results list.Steps to reproduceOpen Responsive HTML5 WebHelp outputSearch for a term with more than one page of results (e.g. vegetation)Scroll to the bottom of the resultsClick Next (>) → results correctly advance (e.g. items 21–25)Click Previous (<)Observed behaviourThe footer updates correctly (e.g. “1–20 of 25 results”)The results list does not update and still shows the later-page items (stale DOM)Expected behaviourClicking Previous should re-render the correct earlier page of results, matching the footer and page state.EnvironmentAdobe RoboHelp (2020)Output: Responsive HTML5Skin: Azure BlueIssue reproducible across multiple published buildsCHM output not affectedWe attempted multiple JavaScript-based workarounds (forcing navigation, reloads, DOM clearing via master page), but the issue persis
Just curious. It's been about a year and a half since an update with any notable features (2022.4) - and really, most updates since 2022.1 (March 2023) have been fairly insignificant. Feeling a bit long in the tooth (much as I find it capable for my needs).
For someone who runs into the same problem. After upgrading my project from 2020 to 2022, RH crashes when I try to open a topic. It first shows the topic correctly for 1/10th of a second and then blanks its entire GUI except the top menu. I have traced the culprit to 2 faulty files: settings\ctaggroups.json and settings\statuslist.json. The status list was present in the project file and has now apparently moved to a json file. However, my status list contained brackets "Complete (No Translation)", which the converter probably choked on. The json file looked like["Reviewed","Complete"]o Translation)","Ready for Translation","Translated"]Editing the files into valid json helped and the GUI didn't disappear when opening the topic. So if the same happens to you, have a look at those files.Opened project looks fineOpening a topic blanks the screen
Hello RoboHelp Members, Using version 2022.6.34: I need to display a cookie banner on our html5 output online help systems. Is GDPR Compliance available for html5 output just like frameless? Thank you so much in advance.
Hello by principle, the main project has no content. That is explicitely described. you fetch content via the imported TOCs.I want index.html to point directly to a page of the 'welcome' project. Because a topic page has no tiled menu.So I indicate in welcome project the welcome page as default topic OlivierToebosch_0-1767192641246.pngand in the main projectOlivierToebosch_1-1767192718579.pngI can only choose rhpj files, there are no local ones. After generating both projects, I view the childproject (with a tiled menu, because of the designated template)I view the parent project and get an error. The browser tries to open the projectfile welkom01.rhpj and shows 'Your file couldn’t be accessed' (of course. you can't show this format in the browser)I tried importing that welcome page in the mainproject and designate it as default page, but I loose the toc in that case. Wondering how I can solve this....best regardshappy new year!Olivier
I've watched the video, went through the motions, but when I click "Share," the Getting you link ready action starts, but just keeps going (still, after half an hour). One question: how do I invite reviewers? Second question: how long should this take? Thanks for any help you can provideLon
Hi, I upgraded a classic RH 2015 project to the new UI RH (Version 2022.4.179) and would like to use the Adobe included script for converting topic hyperlinks to cross references. problem i'm running into is that i cannot seem to locate the script. Shouldn't the included scripts be located here? What am I missing?Screenshot of scripts panel.png
