I have tried several times to convert a scan of an old handbound book from my grandfather into a word doc with no success. At first I was getting timed-out errors and messages saying the file was lager than the 100mb cap limit, but I have since figured out how to compress and optimize the file in adobe to well under that limit while keeping decent quality. It still will not convert the pdf to word (subscrpition is paid for) on the web or in the application. It sits on the first page for several minustes trying to grab the text and never get beyind that. I've treid every help tip I can find. All I have to work with is the original 123 mb pdf and the compressed pdf.

I have subscription of adobe acrobat pro dc, still i m not able to open canadian immigration documents. Can anybody help me to figure out this issue

I am trying to get what started as a fillable pdf to revert back to fillable for editing once it is no longer fillable.  Can someone guide me?  I am using Acrobat Pro. 

Acrobat version- 2025.001.20630Mac, running Sequoia 15.4 My list of issues-File created by InDesign:Tagged Content - Failed   Element 1  -  Sometimes Acrobat will highlight the Element, most times it will not.    Right click on the Element 1- the options are Skip Rule, Explain, Show in Content Panel, Check Again, Show Report, OptionsSelecting Show in Content Panel - Error message "The selection was not found in the Content Panel"To have Acrobat show the Element 1 on screen, I have to click some other Element and click back on Element 1 to re-highlight. There is no way to fix that tagged content. If I go to Tags, this is what I see: There is no way to find that particular Tag.If I go to Tagged Annotations and click an Element, it highlights ONCE. After that I have to go to a different page, click there, and then GO BACK to the original page to get an element to highlight. In Tagged Annotations there is no way to fix a Link, it just

Adobe Acrobat Pro 2025 will open a 3D pdf but the screen displays blank and the model tree is blank.  This applies to 3D pdfs that have been previously opened and those that are new files. The previously opened files do not display previously saved views or the default view.Running on a Macbook M4 Pro, MacOS Sequoia 15.4I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling Acrobat two times. And yes, restarting the computer. 

How can I change the default settings to ALWAYS display the Page Thumbnails/Navigation Pane and to NEVER display the Tools pane? I don't see an option in the Preferences.Every single time I open a PDF I have to manually hide the Tools Pane and Show the Navigation Pane.Thank you.

I am trying to populate a dropdown box with times from 12:00 am to 11:59 pm in fifteen minute increments.  I know that I could manually populate the dropdown box with this information, however I was wondering if there was a way that I could populate it with javascript.  I am fairly new to javascript, so I will need a detailed guide.

With no adobe apps running, and having gone into start up and disabled everything from running when I turn my computer on, I'm still getting Acrobat Distiller error messages constantly while developing in Visual Studio 2022 Professional. Why is this happen and how do I stop it.  

Hello All, In Acrobat DC, with the Pencil comment tool, I am marking a PDF document to look like a hand-marked document with pencil. What I would like to do, once I have finished marking my document, is keep the hand written comments on the body of the document, but delete the "Comments List" on the right-hand pane.I know this is probably not possible with some of the comment tools, but the pencil tool already provides all of my comments on the document body.Is this possible?Alternatively, is it possible to save the marked-up document without the "Comments List"?I could then email someone the handwritten markup I created without the "Comments List." Thank you very much.Patrick B.

Hello! I bought the premium version of Adobe Reader and it’s not working. I should mention that I purchased it back in March...This is not the first time I’ve had these issues. I should mention that it doesn’t work either on Android or on iPhone. I’ve tried everything. Even though the app shows that I am subscribed, it constantly asks me to subscribe again, as if I don’t already have a subscription. I would also like to point out that my banking app confirms the payment was successfully processed.  

I purchased Adobe Acrobat Pro and they will not let me activate it on my new computer.  They told me i needed to deactivate the software on my old computer then I could activate it on my new computer. Well when I did that it still would not let me activate it on my new compuer  and now cant use on old computer either, I paid a premium for lifetime use and they have block me from using it at all on either of my computers. Adobe's unappologetic response is to give them more money for a three year agreement, Why would i give them more money when they cann't even honor their agreement that I already paid a premium for? This company just ripped me off and wants more money LOL

I am trying to flatten a PDF using Version 2024.004.20272 on Mac. I am an attorney and frequently need to flatten PDFs that otherwise have fillable fields, but I am having a lot of difficulty. I am opening the PDF, selecting "Use print production" from the tool list, but the option for Flattener preview is grayed out. Is there not a means of easily and quickly flattening PDFs?

I need to periodically replace pages in a password-protected PDF. Unlocking the PDF allows me to edit text and insert or extract pages. But the only way I can use the "Replace pages" function is to remove all security and then save the PDF. Only then does "Replace Pages" become available. This process requires to finally re-establish the security and password. Bug ?

When we save pdf documents from Outlook Adobe does not remember the last save file location.  It takes us back to a temp location.How do we fix this?Adobe Standard 11.0.20; Windows 10

I have updated to current version, I have restarted. I can see the Comments on the right hand frame, but when I click "RESOLVE" - the mark up icon on the actual text layout page turns black and then disappears when I go to the next comment. Any markup - drawn line, strike thru, highlight, comment icon - DISAPPEARS from the document layout page making users and reviewers think that their comment was not saved.PREVIOUSLY - NOTHING DISAPPEARED FROM THE LAYOUT - THE MARKUPS WERE REMAINED SO THAT MULTIPLE USERS WOULD SEE THAT SOMEONE HAD ALREADY MADE THE MARKUP.Is anyone else having this problem? It seems to have started with the "new and improved!?!?" navigation?

We have 3 licences, but one licence will not recognizing Arial (the font is loaded), Acrobat replaces Arial with "Adobe Sans MM" on a supplied document but if you try to edit it uses "Arial Narrow". If you try to run a repair it comes up with Arabic, Language is set for English. Tried every way of reseting we can think of, and uninstalled then re-installed. Nothing changes. We are a Print department, so this issue is an absoulte nightmare.

I have two PDFS that I am combining. One is 5.5 x 8.5 inches and the other is 11.69 x 16.54 inches. The second PDF contains engineering drawings, and I don't want to crop it or remove any content, but I do want to reduce the page size to 5.5 x 8.5 while keeping the drawings proportional. Is this possible in Acrobat? I have Adobe Acrobat Pro 2017.

I have an issue with the "scroll long text" option in my form. when i use it on adobe, i can see the scrollbar and the "+" sign when the text is long enough. However, i can't see it in the Chrome/Edge PDF reader, and i have to use the up/down arrows to scroll the text.i have "scroll long text" and "multi-line" enabled. Is there a way to fix it?

Hello!! I am trying to combine my open PDFs into one file. On one computer I have the option to "combine open files" but on another computer I am logged into when I click combine files it opens acrobat web and will not combine within my desktop version. Please help me figure out how to bypass or turn off the acrobat web so I can combine within the desktop app?

I'm attempting to edit a PDF in Acrobat Pro. There are bullets. The moment I make any change to the text, the punctuation flips, as though it's a RTL text. Before:After:All I did was insert a space in the word "reference", and not only did the punctuation reverse direction, but spaces moved. Here are my Language settings. I've tried every permutation I can think of, but nothing fixes the problem.Any suggestions?

I had Acrobad 2020 PRO (permanent licence) installed on previouse computer. That computer broke down and i cannot use it anymore. When try to use my old licence number on new computer i receive information, that serial number is incorrect. I can not open application. It asks  me to login online, and after succesfull login i get another login popup, and again, and again.... What should i do ?

HI. I am using Adobe Acrobat. I need help with generating PDF content that is readable on multiple devices. It is currently is too large on android or apple mobile devices.

I just upgraded to Acrobat Pro.  When I try to highlight text, it only draws a box around the text in the selected color rather than highlighting the text itself.   The example below shows what happened when I tried to highlight "false claims".I didn't see any option to set a background color. Any help would be appreciated.Thank you.
