RoboHelp

The title of my cover page and the title of the Table of Contents show up in my table of contents in Robohelp.  Is there a way to make them not show up? I've been trying to change their headers from h1 to something else, but it won't let me change their header style.

Hi. I included a couple of png graphics which appear in the preview of my Robohelp file, but when I run the actual index.htm I am seeing instead an icon for the image in lieu of the image, i.e.,.  The png file appear to be in the correct folder (I can see it in the previewed Robohelp). How can I get the png file(s) to display in the updated Robohelp generated file?  Let me know if I need to clarify this issue. Thanks in advance! 

Just updated to version 5 (2022.5.28) - but can't seem to find release notes anywhere (neglected to check them before update). Can anyone point to them? They don't appear to be on the Adobe site.  

Hi All, I am waiting for the client to provide me with the latest copy of RH; in the meantime, I am devouring posts and videos  😉  I have previously used 2019 new UI. A couple of questions regarding translation as the RH project has to be bi-lingual, English and Canadian French.How does machine translation work exactly? Do I sign up for an account with the provider?The client has strict network security and may frown upon opening up a connection to an external provider, the machine translation service.When I generate a "translation", is it stored in the directory of the project?Can I used conditional formatting so a user can select their language using a filter when viewing the project?Would you recommand this approach, or do I have to publish two separate projects, one for each language?Can MS Word be used to translate XLIFF files? Word can automatically translate files, but does it also have the ability to translate XLIFF? Any suggestions on incorpora

Hello community! I’m using RH2022 with Frameless, Studio template - six child projects merged into one parent, publishing to IIS server. These child projects are upgraded from RH 2019 classic. (Hyperlinks, TOC, glossary, expand all are working fine). The search results are not displaying. The search indicates that results are found, but does not list the results.   FYI search worked previously. However, the results stopped displaying after creating new condition tags and applying them to the topics… When we upgraded 2019 projects the previously created CBTs were visible in the source topics but not in the Condition Tags pane. I created new condition tags; the search failed after applying the new condition tags. How can we see our search results and successfully filter?  Thanks for any help.

Using Robohelp Version 2022.4.179. Ordered lists are formatted and shown correctly in Preview but randomly "restart" in Frameless Output. The HTML is correctly formatted hence wotking fine in the all page Previews.

I use RH 2022. After the most recent upgrade to version 2022.4.179, my responsive HTML output automatically removes all line breaks from the content. So, all the white space I used in the content to increase readability disappears, and everything is just scrunched up. Adobe responded by saying it's a bug in 2022.4 and suggesting I use the   element as a workaround. However, it only temporarily changes the output and automatically gets deleted whenever I close and reopen the topic. Does anyone have any suggestions until Adobe resolves this issue? Also, this happens to all output formats - PDF, Word, Frameless, etc.

I have some help topics where I've set up what I call breadcrumbs, but they're not what RH calls breadcrumbs... One reader thinks the placement of the trail below the title is confusing, and I agree. Is there an easy-ish way to provide this kind of trail above the header in a help topic? Since the title is inserted when you compile the project - I'm creating Responsive HTML5 - I think I have to manually move the trail after I compile. Is there an easier way? I'm running RH 2022.4.179. Cindy 

Using Responsive HTML using Indigo skin, the breadcrumbs at the top is hiding the print button. How do you shorten or hide the breadcrumbs? How do you widen the pane on the right to display more information?

Ive got Robohelp 2022.4.179 and got problems with search. I have looked in the other topics but havent really figured it out what to do.Search isnt working at all when I create the microsoft html help of my projects. I tried to create a WebHelp to se if it would be any difference and there it works. So I dont understand what the difference is, and why it doesnt work in the chm file. Have you got any suggestions what to look for?  

Hello all,  I'm trying to duplicate a Robohelp project (last saved in 2022.4 179, but it may have been created on a previous version). This project is structured this way:  /Robohelp-project-2023 /EN /Robohelp-project-2023-EN.rhpj /FR /Robohelp-project-2023-FR.rhpj  After reading this topic, I copied/pasted the folder /Robohelp-project-2023 via the Windows explorer.I then opened the French version in /Robohelp-project-2023-Copy/FR/Robohelp-project-2023-FR.rhpj, and modified the project name to Robohelp-project-2024-FR in the project parameters. Until that point, everything is OK.  Then, I tried to rename the root folder /Robohelp-project-2023-Copy to /Robohelp-project-2024. From this point, if I open the project /Robohelp-project-2024/FR/Robohelp-project-2024-FR.rhpj, I either get an empty project (and RH seems to be lagging, as if it was comuting somethin), or a screen with the recent project files.  Am I mis

I converted classic projects from RH9 to Rh2022, output to run under Windows 10.When help is started via a call to HtmlHelp that looks like the one below, I get the error as shown in the attached picture "Help not working.png": hwndHelp = HtmlHelp (hwndParent,  szclHomePath + szclURL + _T(">Main"), HH_DISPLAY_TOPIC, NULL);whereszclHomePath is c:\cromos 3.0\toolset\Help\C2000Help.chm::/redirect.xhtm#szclURL is          C2000Help.chm::/C2000_Help_introduction.htm From a command line, everything is fine if I use this command:hh.exe ms-its:c:\cromos 3.0\toolset\help\C2000Help.chm::/C2000_help_introduction.htm#Retrieve From this, I deduce that the problem is something to do with redirect.xhtm.When I compare the generated chm file from RH9 with the generated file from RH2022, I see that redirect.xhtm is not in the RH2022 file (using BeyondCompare).The contents of the redirect file are shown in the attached picture 

Hello,I am using Robohelp 2019 classic.  I have a PDF form that has a submit option and it should open outlook and email the completed form.  I have saved the PDF to the baggage file in Robohelp.  When I publish and click the link the PDF opens and I can fill out the form but the submit (email) button in the form is not working.  When the PDF opens it opens in a web browser window is there a way to have it open in Adobe Acrobat instead?  If I complete the form and then save it I can then double click on the file and it will open attached to an email.  Just trying to not have to save the file to desktop and then double click on it.

I am working on a project, with maximum 20 Topics, that is developed icrementally (Aren't they all 😉  ) that the client want me to send them in separate project files. Their idea is then to create a merged project that merges the 20 odd sub-projects. I'm not a fan of this because I think it all can easily be contained in one project. Having to create many projects to then be merged just adds way more administration then necessay, in my opinion.  Any opinions out there? Thanks and take care

Hi! I am using RoboHelp 2022.0.346 to generate Responsive HTML output using Azure template. In the desktop view, I can see that the TOC is expanded by default in the left window. However, in the mobile view the TOC is not expanded and only the first topic is seen. The TOC expands when I click on the first topic. How can I get the complete TOC by default in the mobile view as well? Please help.Thanks!Kalyani.

I have created a new RoboHelp file, and working on adding the copyright with the year and the company's name to the footer. I used the "insert special character" in the top toolbar to add the copyright symbol. When I go to generate it with the Microsoft HTML Help output, it acts like there's multiple spaces and gives the question mark symbol. 

Hi All, Everytime I need to generate this particular document, it always stuck in this process (1) for more than 20 minutes. I tried restarting, regenerate, it always stucks.  PS:1) This only happens with one document.2) My coworker generate sucessfully this one document using different adobe.3) Other documents are generated sucessfully.  I'm using this version of robohelp  

 For the Publish function in Framemaker, I can't find a way to change the name of index.html as I know it from Robohelp Classic. Does anyone know if and how I can set this setting via the Settings.sts file?Alternative: I found an instruction for a subsequent change in another post. This could be an alternative way. However, it could not be applied to the HTML5 output of the publish function. It was for Robohelp output.Who knows a way? 

Hello, community. I’m upgrading from RH2019 Classic to RH2022.3.93.I’m configuring six child projects merged into one parent.Using Frameless output with Studio template.Generally links between child projects are working fine.   I want to link from the TOC of one child to a topic in another child (relative link?) - - or redirect from a blank topic. I’ve reviewed what I can find in the RH community and grainge.org, but perhaps have missed the correct info and have a few questions. Some of the answers I’ve seen are not for Frameless or are for previous versions of RH (also, I’m not sure if what I want to do is possible with Frameless.) What I’ve seen so far is either: <meta HTTP-EQUIV=refresh CONTENT="0;URL=First_Topic.htm"> but that hasn’t not worked yet. Is this the correct syntax?  startpage.htm#mergedProjects/path/target_topic.htm  remove rhpj and contents from the link path   Insights or solutions are appreciated. Thanks!
