Not sure if Illustrator is the best Adobe app for designing wood working projects? After reviewing a few tutorials on the Dimension tool in Illustrator I was not able to find enough to get started on the project. There are videos showing how to use the tool to place objects within a room. What it failed to show was how to set up Dimension to "Scale" to fit the artboard. However, after exploring which Scale to use I was able to start the project. A discovery which appears to need some work is setting the line dimension tool or have a dynamic tool. An example I want to set the Dimension too to 5.5 Inch mark. As I am dragging out the 5.5 Inch reference line it stops short at 5.35 inch. I can drag out the line to the 5.5 Inch point. However, the recording at the 5.35 is fixed vice changing based on the line length. There also does not appear a way to set the line dimension manually?

I’m generating SVG code programmatically, with the intention of editing it later in Adobe Illustrator. When I create a <g> element with an id attribute, like <g id="item 1"></g>, Illustrator recognizes it as a group named "item 1" within "Layer 1". However, I want Illustrator to recognize it as a separate layer named "item 1", not just a group. Currently, I’m using an Illustrator script to convert these <g> elements into layers after importing the SVG. But is there a way to write the SVG code so that Illustrator recognizes certain <g> elements as layers from the start?

Hello.  I am hoping someone hear has an answer for this. We have been converting our old Quark docs into Indesign using Markwarz Q to ID plug in.  Some of the Quark docs, someone used a standard non breaking space. When converted, we get a random character inserted where that space would be. It prints, so it's something we would like to remove faster than going page-by-page looking for it. I have found no way to search for that space. It doesn't copy, and any variation of searching I do, it comes up with nothing. Tried GREP even.  See attachment. Circled in red. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Does anyone know of a script that will allow you to export Incopy stories from an Indesign Book containing multiple INDD files?

I feel the noise() expression function is poorly documented: noise(valOrArray)    Return type: Number.Argument type: valOrArray is a Number or an Array [2 or 3].Returns a number in the range from -1 to 1. The noise is not actually random; it is based on Perlin noise, which means that the return values for two input values that are near one another tend to be near one another. This type of noise is useful when you want a sequence of seemingly random numbers that don’t vary wildly from one to the other—as is usually the case when animating any apparently random natural motion. Example: rotation + 360*noise(time) What exactly does "for two input values that are near one another" mean?     Is it "noise(val)" with val changing in two subsequent calls?     Or is it "noise(val1, val2)"?The function declaration indicates that two or three arguments can be specified,     but only an example of a function call with a single ar

Adobe fonts are not syncing in Creative Cloud. I've signed out and back in, Re-started my machine and signed back in, just about every option to try and get the load screen unstuck. Is this still an unresolved issue from the server outages yesterday?

Hello everyone,I have a complaint regarding a payment request I made. I submitted a payout request to my Payoneer account on October 13, 2025 but I haven't received it yet. Previously, I received it on the seventh day after the request. Could anyone please tell me if this is a problem? If not, how long should I wait?Thank you.

Hey! With the new update of Premiere 24.4.1 I have problems with copying clips. I always have to copy the respective clip twice with command + c before it is copied by Premiere. My colleagues have similar experiences. Do you have the same problem and do you know if there is a workaround?Thank you!

Hello, Posting this for future reference/in the hope that it can be resolved before other people lose time. Not sure if this is the place for it, sorry if it isn't!I found myself unable to save my working file. This has happened to me for the third time in a week:As I Cmd+S save the file, the little pop-up box that indicates the saving progress —the one with the little blue bar— pops up, but doesn’t fill up completely. It got stuck on a certain percentage (last time 41%, this time 71%), but rather than giving an error message or anything similar, it just seems to abort the saving process and closes the box. It looked as if I had saved it, but I actually hadn't. This is the same when– using any of the other saving options.– trying to package the file. I could ‘export’/hack a copy of the file by rendering it via Media Encoder. I tried to remove all unused footage. Then all linked images/video/audio. This seems to bump the percentage of saving up from 71% to 75% s

ALL of my media queries on my portfolio site work magnificantally when viewed on a desktop or laptop. However, one of its pages won't adjust when viewed on a moble device, while the rest will. Is there a logical reason for this? If yes, how should I go about fixing it? Matthew

Hello, I was very surprised to discover October 20 2025, a charge of 428.59 CHF made on October 18 2025, more than a year after I purchased my first annual plan on September 11 2024. I truly thought I had successfully canceled my account, and the fact that this payment occurred over a month after the renewal date clearly shows that my cancellation request was not processed correctly. I would like to clarify that I have not used this account for several weeks, since my art school now provides us with an institutional Adobe account. As a student, I therefore already have access through my school and no longer need or use this personal subscription. This amount represents a very significant expense for me, one that I simply cannot afford. I sincerely hope that a full refund can be issued, especially considering that I have not used the service at all since the renewal of an account I believed was canceled. Thank you very much for your understanding and assistance. I truly hope t

Hi, I had a shoot mid September where I was shooting Fuji tethered to LR Classic and there was a bug where it produced to raw files for each I shot.  It was super annoying.  Don't know if this has been fixed.  I called Fuji and they seemed to say it was an LR bug which seemed right since there weren't duplicate files in the cards of the camera.  Did this get fixed? Did anyone encounter the same? Fuji 100siiLR Classic 14.5.1Mac OS Sequoia 15.6.1

Hello, how is it possible to apply the "Distort" and "Skew" tools on a photo without the pixels of the photo being disorganised or not in sharp lines?

I have noticed since I started using CC that the eyedropper does not work when trying to pick up color from a placed jpeg. I know for a fact it used to work in CS6 because I did an entire gradient mesh project using this method. Honestly, I don't know quite how else you would do an accurate gradient mesh without this tool. Is anyone else having this issue? Is it just a setting that needs to be changed? My color space is RGB.
