InDesign

HiEach time I import an image into Indesign, the image loads okay, but I get the blue swirling ‘loading’ icon that never stops. I can save my document, and the menus still work but I can’t work on the actual page, and the only way I can clear it it to Force quit Indesign using Task Manager. This started about 2 weeks ago, and was fine before and I haven’t made any changes to my PC. I thought maybe it started after an update of Indesign, so I tried reverting to an older version, but still had the same problem.I have tried re-installing Indesign. (version21.3)  I use Windows 11.I really hope you can help please?Thanks Chris

I was working on a document in Adobe InDesign 2026, and suddenly, black boxes and other organic shapes started to appear on the screen. They seem to be embedded in the creative - meaning, they move with the screen, like a normal object would, but there's no trace of the editable object on the live page nor on the master. I can't remove it, and I don't know where it came from.

 How can i cancel paid plan? and also my Visa card is unavailable, because I couldn’t cancel the plan, so I decided to close the card account. I tried many times to cancel…what i can do right now to cancel?Also tried to contact the support!!!

FAME-TO-CONNECT); ）It seems to have no effect on width.I guess this involves two steps:Firstly, set the text frame to automatically adjust to: height and width, without line breaks.Secondly, set the text frame to automatically adjust to 'none'.I don't know, is this safe?or , Is there still a better idea? 

Hi everyone. I am looking for a way to make a keyboard shortcut to “Break link to paragraph style”. I have tried to do it the usual way, but when I use the new shortcut, it changes (its not kept as it is). Does anyone have a solution for this?

I am not able to save to my FileServers ​​​​​​after updating to InDesign 21.5.1.I am boring on an iMac with OS 26.6.2. When I try save the file locally it’s OK.On the server a file is placed but it’s empty 0Kb.I have tried on different servers with the same problem.

For the past few months, I’ve been able to work around this issue, but it has now reached a point where I can’t. When exporting PNG files in Adobe InDesign, the drop shadows shift position during export. The shadows appear correctly within InDesign, but once the PNG is exported, the shadows are visibly displaced from their original placement. This new udpate gives me a contstant spinning wheel almost after each action I try to make. Select an item, move an item, open a panel, open a menu, anything really—each interactions causes the wheel to appear for 1-2sec. My productivity has been completely obliterated. When i open InDesign the app crashes. I’m unable to even open the app. I have re-installed the app, which didn’t solve the issue. I also tried installing other update versions, which also didn’t solve the issue. All my other Creative Cloud apps are up to date. What to do now?

I need to insert pages into the middle of a document that has continuous text flow between pages.Each of the new pages has one text frame. I have connected those two pages together. But I can find no way to connect preceding pages to the input of the first new page’s frame, and the output of the last new page’s frame to the input of the subsequent page.Any attempt to link the frames with the input or output handles creates a new text frame on the clicked-on page. I found that to connect the two new pages I had to Shift-click each one’s text frame so they were both selected; but this is impossible with the preceding or subsequent pages.Any insights appreciated!The two pages in the middle need to be inserted into the flow. 

Currently having an issue with my undo/history function. I seem to only be able to go back 2 or 3 commands before the entire history disappears. pls help!

I installed the latest update to version 21, and InDesign won't launch. It doesn't give any errors, but it won't start. It doesn't do anything at all. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling it, but that didn't work. Version 20 works perfectly, even the beta version 20.6. I tried reinstalling it by deleting the preferences, but that didn't work. I tried reinstalling the Creative app and reinstalling InDesign, but that didn't work.Bridge does the same thing, but it gives me error OXC0000142. InDesign, on the other hand, doesn't have any errors. Old Bridge works, but the beta version doesn't I have windows 11 last updatedWhat can I do?Thanks a lotNicola

I made a document on Apple pages and I want to transfer it to indesign. I want the background and everything that was in pages into indesign like copy and paste. And I wanna edit the text and the images and elements. If there is a zero cost solution pls let me know thank you

I am having a problem with a file I received from another designer. Specifically, she used the Barlow font family from Adobe Fonts for some of the text treatments, however, even when I activate all the available font families she linked to on Adobe Fonts, some of the font variations are being found but two of the font variations are not being found. See below image. Given that these fonts should be the same ones from Adobe Fonts, how do I resolve the issue? Is it possible that this issue is related to the operating system (I am on a Windows PC)?
