Adobe Premiere

Often when you open a timeline, the timeline panel has tons of dead space above the video track. This is a question for Engineering. Why is this? If you look at the image, you can see a lot of wasted space, even though the audio tracks are not visible. 

Very recently Adobe Premiere became very choppy, laggy and nearly unusable. I deselected High Quality Playback and working on ¼ quality. When I delete the media cache, it’s working for several minutes but quickly became laggy afterward.

Hi ​@Mathias Moehl Is there a way with Automation Blocks to add a video track above the current, highest video track and then be able to determine what the track number is?I want to create a script that adds a video track above everything and drops a clip into that track.Thanks!Sam

I’m working on a UXP plugin for Adobe Premiere Pro and I’m trying to understand a behavior difference I’m seeing between Stable and Beta builds on macOS. Scenario The plugin works as expected on: Premiere Pro Beta (macOS) Premiere Pro Stable & Beta (Windows) On Premiere Pro Stable (macOS): The plugin loads correctly Authentication / initialization succeeds But when performing certain runtime operations (e.g. actions on a sequence), the flow fails The same plugin build works without issues on Premiere Pro Beta on macOS, which makes me wonder if there are runtime, permission, or sandboxing differences between the two. QuestionsAt a high level, I’d like to understand: Are there known discrepancies or limitations between: Premiere Pro Stable vs Beta UXP runtimes on macOS? Are there any macOS-specific restrictions (permissions, networking, sandboxing, security) that behave differently in Stable vs Beta? Are there recommended ways to verify UXP support or

I like using white as my default label color for new assets so I can clearly see what hasn’t been used yet in the project panel. But when I drag in a clip to the timeline, the audio waveforms are invisible because they’re too light. The waveform colors should auto contrast with the clip’s label color.

NOTE: THIS IS FOR PREMIERE PRO--for some reason the website stuck it in Photoshop and I can’t delete the post or change where it is located. I never want to see any of the the Audio Tracks in this panel, so I hide them so I can get a very skinny view of the Mix channel just wide enough so I can see and access my Mix Plugins. No matter what I do, this does not get saved in my workspace, so my skinny panel always shows me the useless leftmost Track 1 of 4 and not the Mix Channel, so I have to either scroll, stretch it out to be 5” wide, manually go in to hide it EVERY DAMN PROJECT!!!! 

Why the hell did you remove the masking option in the new Premiere Pro when using the Ultra key effect?? It was super useful and now I have to think of a workaround, causing a delay in my projects.Why do you remove things that work perfectly???Thank you

The PPro UI allows editing keyframe handles to set custom easing curves in Effect Controls Panel. Currently, PPro scripting only allows Linear, Hold, and Bezier keyframes: During migration to UXP, please add API support for custom bezier interpolation on keyframes. This would enable developers to build more robust presets, plugins, and extensions to automate keyframe creation & light motion graphics in PPro. It would also allow devs to build custom easing panels, with easing presets, and a better curve editor. I remember in previous version of Premiere, I used to be able to start a Dip to White transition at the 50 percent mark, so that it would start immediately at white, and then dissolve back into the footage. Is seems that now this option is missing. Is there a way to make it work (And I don't mean a workaround like making a white color matte and then adding a cross dissolve)? This feature was useful for other transition types as well- When you don't need the whole transition, but just need the first or last half of it.

Normally when exporting Markers in Premiere to use as timestamps for Youtube videos, they export in organized, separate columns on a spreadsheet making it easy to copy-paste them all in one go into the video description. But when I do it now, all marker data is put together in one column. It doesn’t matter what file type I export them as, .CSV or .TXT it still has this problem. Now, I either have to manually organize dozens of marker titles, timestamps, etc to copy and paste them all in one go, or go to the Premiere project timeline and copy-paste each marker and its timestamp one by one into Youtube.

I'm having an on-going problem pasting audio level attributes - so for example, copyng levels from a section of interview and attempting to paste of the remainder.  This used to be simple and reliable - but sometime in the last couple of years seemed to become flaky - not sure if it's a bug or a complication created by new functionality I'm not aware of...?

I’ve generated captions and now need to edit and reformat how some of them appear on screen.  Where I could click on the caption and previously select it to visually edit it in the program window - the editor is creating an error where it does not select the captions to where they can be visually edited.I can edit them in the text window, which is not visual or expedient for reframing and formatting needs. This appears to be a new bug presented in captions and caption editing

I have a color theme that I use inside of Premiere Pro, to which I’ve imported to Libraries, that I use to quickly apply color variations to captions in Essental Graphics via eyedropper.Typical behavior: When I have text highlighted, I hit the eyedropper icon next to Appearance > Fill inside the Essential Graphics panel and choose a color from my color theme.Irregular behavior: I had a power outage blip, and since returning online with my computer, the color is now desaturated both visually, and when I use the eyedropper. It picks a completely different color than what the HEX code states. Meaning, the HEX is still correct, but the eyedropper does not choose that color.It is like the Libraries tab is on a different color profile than the rest of the application. My yellow is #FFD800 where the HEX is correct still in the color profile, but eyedropper chooses #F9DA42 for some reason.Any idea what’s going on here?Issue with image:Green is #A8FF00, but eyedropper from ‘Fill’ chooses #B9
