Hello, I need help in removing border that appears around my text frame. I've looked at all the Text Frame Options and have changed all the setting and nothing is working to remove the .25in border that appears all around the text frame. I’m running the latest version on a MacBook Pro with Tahoe 26.2.So far I've noticed:Undo is unavailable (grayed out in the menu) Extreme lag time when importing large images Cursor gets stuck in the previous mode. (For example, if I switch to the magnifying glass to  enlarge the view then go back to the regular arrow, it stays in the magnifying glass.

I specifically need to install the 2024 version on my new machine to continue working on these files.However, when I check the 'Other Versions' section in the Creative Cloud Desktop app, the 2024 version is not listed or available for download. Trying to work with InDesign is such a pain. Not because the program is bad. Because it is severely disregarded and needs to be updated for integration with CC. The files are large and lengthy more often than not and Adobe is already killing my computer which seems to ONLY affect InDesign. Please give InDesign some attention. It needs your help and so do we 

I’ve noticed lately that InDesign no longer gives a warning about out-of-date cross references when I export to PDF. I’m using version 25.5.1. I really rely on that safeguard as I use cross references in most of my documents! Is there a fix?

Constantly at the bottom of the page, ‘did you know AI can do this and that’. How do I stop that, it totally grinds my gears? How about instead of that, you fix when I click to relink from CC libraries the panel removes all folders and slaps everything into one view. How about fixing that Adobe instead of AI?How about substantially improving the contents page dialogue with its tiny text, and congested space to work in?How about when I drag things from CC libraries it doesn't cause the page I am working in to nudge over?

InDesign 21.6 - Windows 11 - Local.When images are imported in Ai or PDF formats, the Alt Text does not appear as a tooltip on the accessible PDF while it is present for JPG imports.The control on Acrobat mentions the presence of the Alt Text for Ai or PDF imports but does not display the tooltip.Is it a technical constraint, a forgotten step or a lack to be corrected on the app? In the case of constraints, it seems tedious to me to have to transpose all the Ai or PDF imports into JPG.Thank you for your feedback.

Many publications include the section number in their page-number formats. This appears to be impossible in InDesign in 2026.The result is that we must manually edit the TOC-entry styles in every document. And then, if we sync our book without remembering to disable TOC-style syncing, every TOC in the book is now wrong and we have to manually go through dozens of documents and fix every TOC style by hand.Has anyone devised a workaround? 

When I have a multi-page Parent page, I will want to adjust the size of 1 single page. I click on a page but it will select all three instead of 1. It only does this sometimes. At times I can click to the desktop and then back on the desired page a few times and it will work properly. Sometimes not. Any opinions?

Hello again.I’m working on getting back to the other questions I’ve started, but meanwhile I’m also trying to get this ebook out on Draft 2 Digital.The ebook cover looked fine when I uploaded it to Amazon, but now that I’ve got it on Draft 2 Digtial it is scaled wrong.  Google says the original image is 600 x1004 pixels and that that is the problem. Is there a way to upscale it using InDesign? I’ve adjusted the layout to be 1600 x2560 which is the dimensions I want, but when I place the image and fit it to the frame it appears I’m stretching it instead of upscaling it. Is there a way to fix this? 

Hi! I’m designing a document with many tables, and I can’t figure out how to get InDesign to automatically split cell content across page breaks; instead, it’s creating unwanted empty space at the bottom of the pages. Is there a way to solve this problem?

It appears to be Publish Online except that it creates an HTML5 'package' that you can upload to a web server. I am a huge fan of the In5 plugin, and I'm wondering if this comes a little closer to that standard. I'll be updating ID and comparing the two. I'm a firm believer in the possibilities of custom designed websites that are  static--meaning not templated or output from a database. I set up a document with DATE>TAB>HOLIDAY and when I copied it into a new document it became HOLIDAY>TAB>DATE.  Is there a setting to prevent this from happening?

502 Bad Gateway For all of my Published Online documents! Even one-pagers. Just updated InDesign (v. 21.6, Windows software) and tried again with one page, also gives Bad Gateway. All of my client products are in InDesign Publish Online..

I have Creative Suite Pro. For some reason I purchased a license for InDesign as well, which I obviously don’t need since it’s part of the suite. If I drop the InDesign license, is it going to mess with the projects we have in progress? Before I remove it, I want to make sure otherwise my designer will end me.

We're seeing an intermittent crash when quitting InDesign 2026 (v21.5.1.73, macOS 26.5.2, Apple Silicon) while our C++ SDK plugin is loaded. Hi everyone,I'm currently using InDesign (Beta) on my Windows PC because my SnapDragon X Plus processor isn’t compatible with the standard version of InDesign. However, since this morning, the application won’t launch anymore. I immediately get the following error message:"Your InDesign (Beta) build has expired."The strange thing is that I already have the latest available version installed, which is 20.6.Do you know when it will be possible to use InDesign (Beta) again?Will a new build be released soon so we can continue working with it?Thanks in advance for your help!

Hi everyone,I’m typesetting an Arabic book in InDesign 2026 using the Middle Eastern/Arabic features. The document is RTL and the body text is fully justified.I’m currently using Adwa Al Salaf for the Arabic body text. My paragraph styles use the Adobe paragraph composer and Arabic justification/Kashida settings.I’m having a problem with the visual spacing between words in different paragraphs.Some paragraphs are relatively short, and InDesign creates noticeably large spaces between the Arabic words in order to justify the lines. Another paragraph directly below may be longer and therefore looks much denser. The difference between the two paragraphs can look quite strong on the same page.I would like to know the best professional way to handle this in Arabic book typography.In particular:Can I adjust the word spacing / justification settings for one individual paragraph without changing the paragraph style for all other paragraphs?I have tried the paragraph justification/composer setti

I can copy maybe 2 times from one open document to another open document before InDesign shuts down. It does not crash when copying within the same document. I have tried resetting preferences, disabled all in clip-board handling, but it is still the same. It occurs in random documents, so not the same either document, picture or elements.   <Title renamed by MOD>
