Lightroom ecosystem (Cloud-based)

I encountered an issue where downloading original photos from Lightroom CC to my local Mac changed all the image creation dates to the download date instead of preserving the original capture dates.   The Problem:When you download original photos from Lightroom CC (using "Store a Copy of ALL Originals Locally"), the metadata dates of the images are replaced with the download date. However, Lightroom does organize the files in correct date folders (YYYY/YYYY-MM-DD), which preserves the original timeline information.   The Solution:I created a Python script that:1. Reads the date from Lightroom's folder structure (YYYY/YYYY-MM-DD)2. Updates all metadata dates (creation, modification, etc.) to match the folder date3. I have a brand new iPhone16 Pro Max, IOS 18.1. Native Camera app working fine - images show in Apple Photos and are uploaded to iCloud (and are visible to Google Photos, also loaded on the phone), and visible when I plug phone into computer via USB cable.  Today I installed Lightroom Camera so I could better control the image taken. Installed 10.0.1.450863/171. Free version so I can see if it works for me. Signed in using my Adobe account.  When I take a photo with the LR App, the shutter 'clicks' (sound effect) and an image appears bottom left corner.  However, the image never shows in the Apple Photos grid, no matter how I sort. Nor does it show in the 'Device' view of LR.  The 'Device' view does show all the images taken using the native camera app.  'Filters' (funnel) is set with everything checked.   After taking the picture, if I tap on the image just taken, lower-left, it appears 'full screen' but - as soon as I touch it (tap, lo

I use Lightroom on both my PC and smartphone. Keywords that I add on my PC do not sync to my smartphone. This has been an issue for several years now. Please fix this already.

Anyone knows what's happenning or if I downloaded ( and paid 😞 ) for the wrong one ? I was trying to print and find the tabs and it seems like I am lost in the middle of nowhere. Appreciate guidances ❤️

I've emptied my All Synced folder in Lightroom Classic (it had got in a mess with far too many images in it so I decided to start again) but 1282 previously synced pictures still showing in Lightroom mobile. Why and how do I remove them?

I'm using mobile on my IPad Air 11" (M2) with IOS 18.2.1 and my iPhone 16 Pro. I have Lightroom mobile version 10.1.1. When I try to use the sky mask I get two arrows on my photo and it also happens when I use some purchased presets. It doesn't happen with community presets. It seems fairly stable on desktop but it has happened a few times. The fault is intermittent but it is there 80-90% of the time. I have deleted and reinstalled my LR mobile app with no change. It happens with previously edited photos as well as unedited. When I try to use the foreground preset it creates a vertical divide as well as the arrows. Hopefully someone can lead me in the right direction. Of course many have tried throughout my life with little success.

 The top right and left corner hide some of the features of the application.I'm running v8.1 on mac Sonoma 14.3.  please help!

Hi there I've changed plans and now only have 20GB instead of 1TB. I have 200GB of photos from Lightroom synced into the cloud. If I delete the photo from the cloud it also removes it from my local machine. I've paused syncing but I can't seem to find a "disable sync". How can I free up the cloud storage without removing the photos from my PC? Thanks.

Hi, I would like to have a search bar similar to what is present in android devices under the discover tab to search for exact type of presets. It is difficult to go through each image to search for a particular type of preset. Hope we get this feature in iOS soon.

Can you please add a new photo crop size that matches instagram's new size. 

Im shooting wot hSony a7mk4 + wide 20mm F/1.8 lens.Images are HEIF (4:2:0 sampling).I  want to correct for lens distortion in Lightroom but cant find this Lens. What to do?  

After a recent update to Lightroom 8.0, the centre display panel is blank. You can tell that photos are still there and can click between them, but nothing displays. When you click into other views, information displays in the centre area but is corrupt. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling, and I've tried disabling GPU and re-enabling. Sort by edit time keeps putting photos I haven't touched for months or years on top of the gallery. I have my gallery view set to sort by edit time from latest to earliest. Lightroom keeps adding photos I haven't even edited for several months or years on top of the gallery. It is very annoying.

I want to be able to choose the size I want when I share to share my image directly to the point I want, without having to save it to my phone first. At the moment , the image exported from the app directly to the phone has the size selected in the settings, unlike the image exported from sharing to a drive or email or an external cloud. Hello,  I'm putting together a photo book and I need my photos to be cropped 11 inches by 17 inches (11:17). How do I do this in Lightroom on my iPad? I checked Photoshop for iPad and PS Express on iPad and neither of these photography tools allowed me to crop my photos to this particular size. How can I get my photos cropped to this size (11"x17")  on my iPad? I don't have access to a computer or desktop software as an alternative. Thank you.  

Hoy al intentar abrir lightroom me percato de que simplemente no funciona, ya intente desde windows y desde el navegador pero simplemente no abre y me indica que el tiempo de carga termino, en el caso de la app para windows simplemente se cierra despues del error o me da la opcion de cerrar la sesion, ya apague mi firewall y el antivirus y no soluciona nada, ojala alguien me pueda ayudar...

Hi guys, I am going on a trip and do not have wifi connection during the trip, however, I would like to edit current photos on the go and have selected "store album locally". I notice that space has been taken up in my hard drive after doing this action. I am using just lightroom (not classic) However, after this trip, I would like to store my files in the cloud instead and delete these albums from my local storage. If I deselect "store album locally", will Lightroom upload my edited photos to the cloud and delete the files from my local storage? My end goal is to have my local storage cleared whilst retaining my edited photos in the cloud. Thanks in advance

Good morning, In 2021, I installed the trial version of the Lightroom CC desktop software with Windows 10 to test its usefulness and potential because I was not sure if it was right for me. I uploaded a significant number of images to the catalog from an unverified source that had sent me a .zip file. I found that these images were not appropriate for me and I immediately proceeded to delete them, along with the catalog itself. The software warned me that the images would be permanently deleted after 60 days. Immediately after, I also proceeded to completely uninstall the Lightroom CC software from my computer. After a few months I discovered that in the path: "“C:\Users\marco\AppData\Local\Adobe\Lightroom CC\Data\7b998ee4ce3946d5bd79129a4d959cdb\originals” all the images are still present in their original format, divided into subfolders according to the years and specific dates of the images.
