I feel smart objects need a long overdue update. In my workflow, I love using smart objects. What's there not to like about them? But chances are the delivered assets have multiple blending styles. What I do often is assign the relative effect overlays as clipping masks and then turning that object into a smart object. Works like a charm, even if it's a bit of a nuisance. However there are some instances where that workflow just doesn't work, of you need to at least simplify the overlay specific elements. That's when we need like a smart object v2 that, even though it'd need to recalculate the values on every transform (like any smart filter), understands how to apply the blending modes inside that smart object to the resulting art it's on top of.I feel like that's one of those things that would certainly improve photoshop a lot. You have a graphic with a surrounding additive glow that needs to be that specific size no matter the scale? You no longer need to adapt every drop shadow to t

Dear photoshop humans or robots, So, I do a variety of different things on photoshop, but one is illustration, so I wanted to suggest a feature: Right now, smoothing is a line-weight stabilization feature, but it's dumb. I mean that in an illustration sense. It's hard to understand if you don't do inking. Inking line art is meant to describe or add line quality to light and dark areas (the line gets thinner when it touches a brighter area, and thicker when it touches a darker area). Can't you just press the stylus harder and lighter to do this? Yes and no. Yes you can, but the size is determined by a specific and arbitrary limit. So, what if it had no limit? What if you made the ability to adjust the brush size as you put a brush stroke on the canvas a simultanoues and independent process? As you move the brush across the canvas, the artist has the ability to enlarge or shrink the brush using a shortcut and their non-dominant hand. I'm not saying remove smoothing al

Hello long time user here, I work in design for film and games. Here are some features/ technologies I'd love to see in photoshopDraftsmen tools1.) A perspective drawing feature is a popular request from colleagues I see, as well as my own. It's sort of an old thing most art programs have for a decade (including ipad app fresco) but it was would incredible to have in the desktop powerhouse of photoshop finaly.2.) Smart shapes. If you hold your stroke it creates a shape or a line like procreate, and fresco. 3D Drawing Tools I see adobe has pushed for 3D recently but I dont see a tool that allows you to draw in 3d. Photoshop did allow that to some degree but it was taken out. Why not bring it back but simplify it? Drawing in 3D is great, I'd love to see adobes take on a mental canvas simple sketch approach. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4dSmfZfmnsM AIThis is something photoshop is probbably already working on with their neural filters like changing a landscape to snow, b
VG
I realise that this is probably not something that many people would be interested in, but I often need to convert relatively small images to black & white halftone, using the Pixelate/Color Halftone filter, but the minimum dot size setting (4), is too big causing too much loss of detail. Having to enlarge the image using trial and error guess work before applying the filter is a painful experience. Please see the attached image, where the dot pattern is too course, thereby removing too much detail. It would be great if Photoshop would allow for smaller dot sizes than the current 4 setting in the filter.
With the advancement of cloud and VDI technologies it would be nice if Adobe started to support server infrastructure including testing enterprise GPU cards. I've read through https://helpx.adobe.com/in/enterprise/using/creative-cloud-deployment-on-vdi.html and have had tickets in the past where support has given best efforts but have been unable to get very far. We are hosting our own Citrix infrastructure but will soon be expanding into Azure. We have multiple issues with some Creative Cloud products that if fixed could greatly improve our users' experience.

When PS (or the PS Beta) is installed on a Windows 10 computer, the helper application Microsoft EdgeWebView2 is installed with it. I don't have access to a Windows 11 computer to see if this still is occuring. The application is being installed in the static directoryC:\Program Files\Common Files\Adobe\MicrosoftThis version of EdgeWebview is based on Chromium version 92.0.902.84. You can see this in the Property details of the msedge.dll and msedgewebview2.exe files. This version of Chromium is from around May 2021 and has known securty flaws. The current version of EdgeWebView is installed along with the MS edge appliation that is pushed as a component from the Microsoft Updates and is managed by Microsoft. It is located in the directory C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft\EdgeWebView\Application\{insert current Cromium version number}The properties of the msedge.dll and the msedgewebview2.exe files show the version to be 105.0.1343.33 (as of September 12, 2022) If the PS d
I would like to see Adobe testing its sofware on hardware and making tiered suggestions based on performance on an annual basis. As software becomes more powerful the hardware needs to keeep up with it.I'd like to see suggestions in perhaps three categories low, mid and high budget improvements to overall performance. I really shouldn't have to run around the entire internet looking at obscure websites for hardware enthusiasts to determine what the best computer is to run Adobe software. Adobe software is an evolving creative tool. Part of that evolution places greater demands on the hardware. And this is an acceptable progress within reason of course.
I am using Photoshop for web. I have few folders and many files. I can see all these files here- https://assets.adobe.com/cloud-documents While I can download each file individually, I cannot download the entire folder. I need to download all files at one go and maintain a local backup. Ideally, take automated daily/ weekly backups. Support chat did not help, so approaching Discussion. Regards, Swapneel Shah
Please consider this:https://community.adobe.com/t5/photoshop-ecosystem-discussions/disable-quot-adjustment-layer-quot-auto-numbering/m-p/13190354#M670822 Add an option to the "Adjustment Layer Panel" to disable auto-numbering (disable adding a number at the end of the AL name).
When completing the Hands-On Tutorials, it woul;d be great if you could preview a completed version of the design you are creating so you can confirm you are on the right track. Some of instructions can be a little confusing but if there was a visual example of finished design I think that would help when the instructions aren't 100% clear.
Currently, Photoshop is the only software I know of that lets me change the BRUSH blending modes with hotkeys. Do not misinterpret this to be about LAYERS! Shift+Alt+<X> (where X is N, O, M, S, etc) work great. However, these hotkeys are undocumented and can only be found in a Google search. There is no possibility to change this inside of Photoshop -> Edit -> Change Keyboard Shortcuts. I strongly recommend that PS developers add editable shortcuts for this feature -- as well as introducing a "search" feature for keyboard shortcuts. Photoshop includes many hidden shortcuts, and this fact is certainly hurting adoption of your software based on my private chats elsewhere. Many digital painters don't even realize this can be done. More importantly, I found posts dating back to 8 years ago which asked Adobe to make these shortcuts editable. Let that sink in: a simple request was ignored for 8 years. As you can imagine, anyone who digital-paints and relies on brus
In a world where Photoshop is getting more and more competition, you'd be insane to marginalize yourself further. Photoshop is no longer a program for the average person who begrudgingly accepted the change to a subscription based service due to its initially palpable price. With dozens of other programs to choose from who arguably create comparable, if not better workflows, for much less, I don't see any reason for people to pay TWICE as much as they have been for the exact same product. Inflation exists, yes. I wouldn't have an issue with a 20-30% increase to keep in line with this. But a full 100%? Please. This drastic increase in price to me means a drastic decrease in usage and they are grasping to keep profits. The Photoshop generation will soon be a thing of the past. I have used Photoshop for nearly 20 years, and even though I can afford this price, I don't see why I should shell out for it!
Similar to the brush tool, the contextual menu (right-click) one gets with the move tool could be upgraded to a full layer panel, maybe with the layers that are not under the cursor grayed out. It could spare users lots of mouse/stylus travel, compared to the rudimentary menu one currently gets.
I'd really like the ability to simply Save a Copy with an option to include artboard names. This would create a single file with all the artboards as the Save a Copy does now, but with the names displayed, similar to how you can see them while using the Photoshop file. I'm not really sure why this is not already a feature. At the moment the only options to get the same outcome is to either export all the artboards to individual files, then automate a contact sheet with the file names included, or add text boxes outside the artboards with the names. These are not great options, because we only really want to export the artboards once the creative is finalised and approved, we don't want multiple versions of the artboards hanging around and we don't want to have to name everything multiple times in multiple places
Brush, Healing Brush, Clone Stamp has Current/Bellow Option. If i work two layer something likeTop layer : Noise or Grain something like Texture (Its Clipping Mask to Bottom layer, Effective only Bottom layer)Bottom layer(Blank New Layer) : paint or blend somthing use MixerbrushIf that tool has Current and bellow, I can just paint or blend use MixerBrush on Bottom layer.(Because, Clipping mask effect only where i paint) But, Until now MixerBrush only have "All Sample Layer".So, if i want that effect... i have to turn off layer (TopLayer), And then Paint or Blend use mixerbrush(bottomlayer). And if finish MixerBrushing, Turn on Top Layer. If I don't turn on and off the eyes of the layer like this, the noise layer above is mixed. The brush can be applied comfortably without this process, but there are times when you want to use a blender brush. So I suggest to Adobe Developer. Could you put this option(Cu
I want to see an option to restore legacy Flip Horizontal. See this thread for details. https://community.adobe.com/t5/photoshop-ecosystem-bugs/p-view-gt-flip-horizontal-is-broken-in-newer-versions-of-photoshop/idc-p/12543574#feedback-error Because of the way that Flip Horizontal was changed last year, I am forced to use an old, buggy version of Photoshop that freezes and crashes constantly. I am strongly considering switching to another software for my professional work because of this.
Photoshop iPad - The brush cursor size does not change when you change the brush size until you start to draw. Leave a lot of guesswork when initially positioning the brush on the canvas. Please include this option like the desktop version.
Hello Team,I work with many images at a time in PS. This is because I use image stacking very frequently for my research work. It would be excellent if there is an option (just like "layer count" which shows the total number of layers) that shows how many images or files are opened in PS. I am requesting the Adobe Team to please add this option at your earliest.Thank you. Best,-Supratim
It is rather abysmal that photoshop still has this critical bug, given that is has been reported for years now. It is a software for professional imaging yet you cannot work on an image at print resolution and have accurate color displayed on the screen. Steps to reproduce: -For full effect, open an image with dark shadows you would like to lighten -Again, to dramatize, we are going to add two curve adjusment layers --Make one curve to set your black and white points and your gray balance --Make another curve to open up the dark shadows -You should see that at 66.67 magnification you will get the true colors while at 50% below colors suddenly change, meaning you cannot look at the image as a whole and make color adjustments. This applies to any image that is more than 4/3 your screens total resolution, which, for a 1080p monitor that is beyond the average, would be 3MP. Yes, that is three megapixels as in DSLRs of 14 years ago. Perhaps you could have an option to 'render proxy at this
