I tried the demo for generative sharpen that did pop-up on first start of Potoshop 2026.It did not sharpen at all So I tried again and again and eery why I could think of to make it look as good as the demo video. But it did nog even got any sharper at all.Later I saw that there was something like "AI Credits" and that I did loose a lot of the credits trying the demo image (not using my own pictures). So I contacted support and they tried also in my PC and could not get it any better and left the support chat telling me to try later. 😞Now I have spend most of my credits on this stupid demo and spend credits to let the support try. This makes me quite angry. Not only have I lost my credits to nothing productive, but I also don't dare use the whole AI thing at Adobe anymore because it's wasting my credits and I don't believe it works.What do you think of this behavior from Adobe? I find it sickening.I'm curious how the community views this, because I see a lot of complaints

I finally figured this out so I thought I'd share. If you'd like a layer mask that follows specific measurements or a shape, follow these steps. Click on your shape and go to Select and Mask (either cmd + opt + r, or right click and select)Use the Quick Selection tool to select the entire shape. Make sure your output is a Layer mask. Click OK.Drag this new layer mask onto the layer you'd like to mask.Go to Select and Mask again, and choose invert. Click OK. Let me know if this was helpful! Export>Export As:When doing this for PNGs, all settings are for PNG (either transparent or non-transparent, at 1x and 2x), the file is RGB (multiple artboards), and it exports, but it saves the file as a JPG (with .jpg). 

I have Photoshop on my MacAir and want to use my iPad as a drawing pad. But I can't get documents to open on the iPad. When I establish a Sidecar connection and then open Photoshop from the iPad, it opens on the iPad, but it also opens on the Mac. I can select "File - New..." and "File - Open..." on the iPad, but the document opens only on the Mac. When I hover over the green button on the document window, "Move to iPad" is greyed out. I have the latest system versions: MacOS Sequoia 15.0 , iPadOS 18, and I'm using Photoshop version: 2024 (25.11.0).I tried the solution posted here previouslyQuit PhotoshopDisconnect sidecarConnect sidecar againRelaunch Photoshop.  But it didn't work. Any suggestions?

the filter gallery and the vanishing point are grayed out in filters in Photoshop CC ?  

Photoshop opens CR3 raw files cropped. I have browsed the web and havent found a single simple solution. I have tried settings and used camera settings in default. The only work around is saving as tiff and then opening to get the full image.Is there a way to prevent camera raw from automatically cropping my raw images when I open them directly in photoshop?

Hello Adobe creatives!  Has anyone used ADobe Firefly or Photoshop's Generative AI features to replace a specific component in a photo?  My use case is I have a photo of award medals in a layout that were taken some time ago, but the medal design has since changed. I now have the updated design file and would like to use AI to update the medals in the existing photo using the new design as a reference. Is this possible with either Firefly or Photoshop (e.g. via Generative Fill or another AI workflow)? And if so, what's the best approach to ensure realism and consistency across the set? I've tried this already so far in Adobe Firefly Boards, and it's just spitting back out the same image I'm referencing, and have tried about 5 different models so far. Not sure if it's my prompt, or I'm using the wrong model... or maybe it isn't possible yet. When i create my own presets with CameraRaw, i can save them on my Mac. But when i take a look in the path: library/application support/Adobe/Cameraraw/settings I can't see my own saved presets here? Where does Photoshop keep them?

I have three questions regarding Preferences: 1. What is the purpose of this setting in Photoshop 2026? I notice no difference in the user interface when I enable it. 2. Which option should I choose for GPU processing: "Faster" or "More Stable"?3. For the Scratch Disk, which drive is more efficient: the Startup (OS) drive or a Non-Startup drive? Which one has to be the first one? 

I just started using Photoshop for the Web so I can avoid installing it on my smaller laptop, and there seems to be no way to adjust the Canvas Size of an image. The design is a lot different, so I may be missing something, but I've looked everywhere. Is anyone else having this issue?

Hi everyone, Something weird is happening with my files and I hope someone can help me figure it out.I usually create billboard templates in Illustrator, then copy the objects and paste them into Photoshop as Smart Objects. This has always worked fine — but recently, every time I paste from Illustrator, the objects look blurry, distorted, or like they have a very low DPI. I’ve tried doing the exact same process on my coworker’s computer, and everything looks normal there. But on my computer, the copied Smart Objects always look off. (I’ve attached an image showing the problem.) I’m using the latest versions of Photoshop and Illustrator. Has anyone else experienced this issue or knows what might be causing it?Thanks in advance for your help!

When I use the LrC "Open in layers in Photoshop" command, with multiple images selected, PS opens but stops with error message "Load layers needs at least two files selected." This always worked fine until the latest updates PS (25.12.2) / LrC (14.5.1). How do I fix this?

In every version of Photoshop that I've used, the default swatch library was as shown in the attached image. I had it in 5.0, 5.5, 6.0, and in CC. Now I've purchased the subscription based and the swatch libraries are not even close. Many times I'm creating a basic graphic and want to select default colors, but I can't find this swatch library.... what am I missing? When I first opened Photoshop I had black and white. I've been through all of them... can't find it. Would be nice to have it back, it makes things a little easier than having to mix a color every time. Thanks... still just learning the new features... 

As of the latest version of Photoshop (v24.4.1), the curves adjustment layer is very laggy and unresponsive -- especially when using a stylus. It's extremely frustrating. What happens is when I click to add a point on the 'graph' it's serverly delayed and doesn't add a point. Normally I can immedietly click and drag the point to where I need, but when I try this now nothing happens because it won't make the point. Then it finally makes the point and lags really far behind where I adjust it to be. Every time I try moving any points it's super laggy and terrible. It's not my computer either. I have a ridiculously good computer.   I've restarted Photoshop and my computer. No dice. This is a major issue and needs to be fixed.    

I think I've had this problem for over a year now. I've had it today and I need to find a solution for this. I work on rather large files with multiple layers. I work on them for 2 hours or so each. I often have 4-5 different simiar 4GB files open at the same time. My system is a beast and it can handle it. Randomly, totally randomly... the image in one tab will freeze. I can't edit it anymore. It's locked. I can edit other tabs and I can save the frozen tab... but I need to save + reopen to work on it again. I was hoping this would be fixed in an update but it has been happening for longer than I can remember and I've absolutely had it today as it's happened at least 5 times during my work day. Latest PS version. AMD 5950X + 6900XT + 64GB RAM. Everything is up to date. I've already "reset my preferences" so please don't ask me to do that again. Is this a known bug or issue that has a solution? Thanks for any help! 

Hi there.  I’m new to using brushes with Photoshop, and have been researching brush creation. How can I create a brush that has a look and feel to realistic pencils and charcoal? What I am specifically trying to achieve is strong thin lines when the pen is held upright, and soft creamy wide shading ability when the pen is on its side. Shading should be able to build up smooth and softly.  Example images from Brent Eviston, Proko, and Patrick Jones are attached. If anyone can please assist with the technicalities of setting this up, that would be greatly appreciated.  Thank you.   

Hi, For the past three days, none of my files have been saving in Photoshop Web. I’m using the online version through my Adobe account, and even though I can edit projects, the files don’t appear in my Creative Cloud storage or “Your files” section. Could you please check what might be causing this and help me fix it?

I'm having 2 main problems and idk what to do.1. The newest version of Photoshop (24) wont open any files. The "Reading Photoshop Format" window will load up but nothing will happen and it stays on the home menu page. If I try to close the program, the "Could not complete your request because of program error." window pops up. I have to go into task manager just to close photoshop. So I went back to version 23.5.5 and it does open up my files, but that brings me to my other issue... 2. I'm not sure which version it started but for a long time now, when I open my files, the scrubby zoom (Ctrl+Spacebar+Left mouse button+move) function doesn't work and the image has a slight pixelated quality to it. I can reset my preferences and itll work once but on restart it is nonfunctioning again. The weird thing I found is sometimes I can move the photoshop window, while its on the home page, to my other monitor and open a file, it'll work. Then i can drag the window back to my tablet monitor

Hi everyoneI used the Dynamic Text feature once, and it worked great, but then the icon just disappeared! My Photoshop is up to date, and I’ve checked online for solutions. I found a couple of workarounds, but they didn’t work for me, and I’m still not sure why this is happening or why Adobe hasn’t addressed it yet. Since I saw others mention similar issues online, I figured I’d ask here:Has anyone else experienced this? Any ideas on how to bring the icon back or fix the issue? Thanks so much in advance!

Hello!  Anytime I tried to create, delete, edit, or do anything with a new artboard, it immediately crashes my photoshop and I have to force quit. I have waited over 15 minutes one time to see if it was time it needs, but no dice. Attached screenshot videos for ref. The only way I can get it to work is using Photoshop 2024. Any assistance is appreciated!
