Photoshop

Hello,We have a problem with a CMYK compositing file that contains an RGB Smart Object.The delivered image is in "Coated Fogra 39 L."It contains a Smart Object. When I open it, I see that it's eciRGB V2. The profile is embedded, and my RGB working color space is also eciRGB V2.However, the opened Smart Object looks different in color and doesn't match the composition. If I change something in the Smart Object, e.g., create an empty layer, the colors in the composition change. Even if I don't open the Smart Object at all, but just scale it slightly, the colors change. As soon as the Smart Object is recalculated, the colors change. Unfortunately, rasterizing the Smart Object isn't an option for us.Unfortunately, I can't find the reason for this behavior. Our customer, who created and delivered the image, doesn't have this problem. At first I thought it was an error or bug in the image, but I don't think so anymore.

Ok I need to be able to use generate image assets but using the .webp format.  I found a script called Generator.json that if put in the user directory on a Windows PC it would allow Photoshop to use webp's in the generate image assets.  Code in the .json file below.  Now it work with the latest version of Photoshop.  25.12.0, on window 10.  But I just upgraded to Windows 11 and now when I use generate image assets it makes blank webp files.  Does anyone have a solution to get webp to work in photoshop on windows 11.  I wish photoshop would just add it as a native export.Script in the Generator.json{    "generator-assets": {        "webp-enabled": true,        "webp-lossless": false    }}

Can anyone tell me why the screen goes blank? Thanks.

I got the Scott Kelby book, How do I do that.. maybe dated? 2024 --pg 200 change a background.. go to the select subject in toolbar.. (exist in toolbar?) , but I did get as far as select subject with the wand... He says then... modify selection , expand, generate fill. etc, I could not see-fine  any of  those. I did get to a properties panel on the right, which has none of that. Hello, recently Photoshop has started crashing after I open it . I will open Photoshop, it will stay open for about a minute then close with no error message. I am on a Windows laptop I have tried the following things to fix it: - Resetting preferences to default - Checking my GPU is compatible (it is)- Changing preferences to not use GPU... When I did this it would still crash, but when I reopened Photoshop the setting would still be on, so I'm not sure if it applied properly?- Updating Photoshop - Updating other Adobe apps- Restarting the laptop- Uninstalling and reinstalling Photoshop - Uninstalling and reinstalling Creative Cloud If anyone could help me out  it would be greatly appreciated 🙏  

Hello everyone, First of all, I'm not Photoshop genius (obviously, or I wouldn't be posting here probably). I've tried looking around the internet and this community but couldn't find my answer.  I have a GIF with a white-ish background. The GIF contains 520 layers, so before I just start removing them manually with Magic Wand and lose several hours of my life I'm looking for a way to remove said color on all GIF at once. I would like it to be transparent, so not replace it with another. Thanks for any tips!

Whenever I try to open any file in Photoshop 2025 I get the message: Could not open “<filename>” because the file was not found. This happens when I try to open a jpg, dng, or tiff from Lightroom OR from Finder. I'm using a MacBook Pro M4 with plenty of disk space, memory, etc. Didn't use to happen. HELP!

Hey, Earlier when I select the object, there used to an option remove but not its not showing up.

I cannot seem to figure out how to get my keyboard shortcuts from my old computer to my new computer. I was using photoshop 2024 on my old computer as well as my new one. I have saved the .kys file but for the life of me cannot get it to load in photoshop. I've migrated my settings to many new computers over the years but for some reason cannot get it to work this time! 

Please give us an official thumbnail plugin, codec or anything for Windows 10/11, we can only rely on third party options with bugs, additions and annoying things.PSD.AI

I have a problem, after last update for Ps beta and non-beta, when I open a specific file I get this error : "Some text layers might need to be updated before they can be used for vector based output. Do you want to update these layers now?'', and it try to change some of the text layers, not all. I reinstalled Ps(beta and non-beta), previous version of beta, reset the Ps to default settings, deleted CT Font Cache folder too, still I get same error with this file, with other files I don't have this problem(at least yet). Can be fixed? The pc it is with last Windows 11, if matter.

When I go to the edit tab to select sky replacement, it is not showing up. Why is this?

Hi, I've been using Photoshop fore more than six years now for drawing. One feature I use a lot is to hit Delete on my keyboard to clear a layer's content without deleting the layer itself. Or, rather, I should say I used to do this, because the same key now deletes the layer, unless I select All (Ctrl+A) then Backspace/Delete, then again Deselect (Ctrl+D). This is very annoying. Now, I tried everything I could to try and revert it back to what it once was: uninstalled Photoshop, tried older versions, newer ones, tried setting Delete as the Clear shortcut (Delete/Backspace can't be used for shortcuts, so no, didn't work). At some point, I even got a weirder bug where Delete filled my selections with my seconday color. Yes, I'm doing this on a raster layer that is not a background layer. Yes, I've created an auto-action that does this. No, I don't want to settle for this solution if reverting back to the old way Delete was working is possible. Excuse my ton

Hello. I've just found what appears to be a bug, or at least some strange functionality. When you create a smart object from a single layer, then distort it via Transform, then attempt to Convert to Layers, the smart object simply becomes rasterized. I'm not sure if there is a now hidden pop up menu that I toggled "Do Not Show Again" on, or if this is actually intended, but I would expect it to remove the Smart Object's transformation, and then convert it to its original layers. By rasterizing it, the layer's mask, blending options, etc. are all lost, so I have to Reset Transform, then Convert to Layers. Strangely enough this only happens when the smart object is a single layer. If there is any other than a single layer (e.g. it is in a group, there are multiple layers, there is an adjustment layer, etc.) the Convert to Layers works as expected. This does interrupt my workflow, since I tend to make text/verbiage in Illustrator, bring it into Photoshop via Smart Objects,

Since updating our Photo editors PS to v26.8.1 we have a lag issue when using the Dodge Brush Tool.  This occurs despite using either highlights,shadows or mid-tones. Brush size is 1750px on a product image in .ARW format.  His machine specs are:  Ryzen 9 7900X 32GB 6000mhz CL305060Ti Dedicated 1TB Gen4 nvme scratch disk.PS runs on the OS drive which is also a Gen4 drive. Does anyone have any suggestions? I have disabled multi threaded compositing and GPU acceleration and tested different combinations.

This morning I opened an important .psd file and on the right side of the Title Bar, inside the parenthesis which normally says, after the filename, something like (RGB/8), it now says (Quick Mask/8)Here's an image of the Title Bar with the "Quick Mask" indication: (CHURCH SUPPER is the name of a layer)Here's an image of the Title Bar of a file the way it usually appears, without the "Quick Mask" indication:This Quick Mask problem makes the file impossible to work with in the ways I normally work with it. I use a One by Wacom CTL-472, and have never had any issues. It's working on other programmes (eg Affinity), and working on Photoshop on my laptop. Everything is updated, but for some reason the cursor doesn't move on Photoshop. If I am using my tablet in another window then click photoshop up from the taskbar, it does start working for a few seconds, then cuts out again! Any clues on how to fix this?  Thank you!

I use an iMac and just update the OS to Sequoia 15.6.1 and I have the latest update version of PhotoshopPhotoshop cannot load image files. I get the error message: "Unable to complete your request because file cannot be found" for any file.I can upload the files in Preview and Photos.HELP!!!

I am making a banner for a printer who is requiring it to be 800 dpi. I've never been asked for 800, it's always been 72 or 300, so I'm guessing this is something I need to learn in case it becomes the new norm. I've tried opening the original image in Photoshop, doing Convert to Profile > CMYK, making any changes to the photo I need to make, and then Image Size > constrain dimensions, Resample: Preserve Details 2.0, setting the resolution to 800, and then saving it. Then I embed the file into my main photoshop file, the printer's template, which is already 800 resolution using the same process as above. I've tried converting the images to smart objects, and as layers. There's outlined text, 3 shapes, a few .ai files for marks and the logo. Every time I submit it to the printer, it comes back saying: Resolution of color and grayscale images is lower than 799 pixels per inch, continuous tone image resolution lower than specified. I don't understand how to fix this so they will acc

I have a virtual machine Oracle VirtualBox 6.1 installed. Windows 10 Pro 22H2 is installed on this VM. Photoshop 26.9 and 26.10 when launched on the VM with this OS, an error appears. On the host machine running the same OS, the program works correctly. On the same virtual machine, but running Windows 11 Pro 23H2, the program works correctly. It does not start only on the VM running Windows 10! This problem did not occur on earlier versions of Photoshop.

I am on version 25.7.0 and the "show transform controls" option is missing from the top bar now and instead there is a gear icon that you have to open with 4 options and click it in there. Is there any way I can get that back in the top bar as shown in the image below?
