my edited photo doesn.t load

My Photoshop, on desktop, just updated and I have lost all my custom brushes, colour swatches, and even some fonts. I have never had this issue before, usually it updates automatically and everything is fine, but now I have lost all of my presets. I rely on a lot of the brushes and colour swatches for work, and I really don't want to have to put everything back manually as it will take me a long time - especially as I don't have the original files for some of the brushes. Is there anyway I can fix this?  (Also I checked legacy brushes and they are not there)

Hi everyone,I recently upgraded my Mac and I’m having trouble rebuilding my high-volume editing workflow. I used to export edited photos from Lightroom into Photoshop using droplets to apply my Colour and Black & White actions, then save everything back into the original folder structure (centre → classroom → child).On my new setup, droplets fail to create (“file not found” or “write access denied”), Bridge won’t batch to Photoshop, and Image Processor Pro doesn’t show up under the Automate or Scripts menus even after installation.I’m looking for any reliable method to:Batch-run Photoshop actions on hundreds of photos (recursively through subfolders),Save outputs back into the same folders (will need new names or suffix),Avoid extra subfolders or broken permissions.System info:macOS Sequoia 15.6Photoshop 2025 26.9Lightroom Classic Has anyone found a dependable way to automate this workflow on newer macOS versions?Any insight, updated scripts, or workarounds for running actions

OS Windows 11.  Both Photoshop 2025 and Adobe Bridge 2025 are up-to-date.  I cannot automate a Contact Sheet from Photoshop 2025 - It places one or two photos onto the page (depending on choices) and ends in an "error 9002: Unable to open log file C:\users\....\appdata\Roaming\contactsheetII.log: i/O error Line 1688."  I have tried renaming the log file to ". old" and restart Photoshop for it to recreate it.  Still no luck.   I have used Bridge to try and automate it through Photoshop and I get error "Java script missing".  I have also tried running Photoshop as an Administrator and get same errors.Please help. I need this urgently.  not sure what more to do.

Hi, I recently got a new Macbook Pro with M4 Chip and am running Photoshop 25. When I use the slice tool and then Export > Save for Web I get the following error message.  I've given PSD and Creative Cloud full write access. Any suggestions on what could be causing this? 

Hi! I’m curious about your go-to methods for batch-exporting poster mockups in Photoshop. Let’s say you have one or several PSD mockup scenes (with Smart Objects for the poster area), and you need to generate 20–30 exports, each showing a different visual in the same scene.Do you:Use Actions + Replace Contents for the Smart Object?Go with Variables and Data Sets?Work with Linked Smart Objects and overwrite the linked file?Or rely on scripts / generators / plugins (like Batch Mockup, Exporter, etc.)?I’d love to hear what actually works fastest and most reliably for you, especially for high-res layered mockups that include textures, shadows, and displacement. Thanks

I uploaded a JPG photo and renamed it layer 1 and then I took a selection from it and created a layer 2 mask. However, when I am using the spot healing tool and the brush, I am unable to copy with the tool from one layer to use the tool on the other layer after switching to activate Layer 2. In other words when I click on the color I want in Layer 1, it does not paint in layer 2. Same with selecting the healing area in Layer 1 for pasting into layer 2. Any suggestions? I am using Photoshop 2025 and it is up to date.  Thank you for your help.

Hi everyone, I’m a professional colorist working primarily in DaVinci Resolve, but I also do retouching and editing in Photoshop at a professional level.Recently I upgraded my setup with an ASUS ProArt PA32UCDM (OLED) as my reference monitor and a Blackmagic DeckLink Mini Monitor 4K I/O card. The DeckLink allows me to bypass OS color management and get a clean, unmanaged video signal directly from Resolve to my reference display — perfect for accurate grading in HDR/SDR workflows.Now, here’s my question :1. DeckLink + Photoshop workflow I read on Blackmagic’s website that there’s a “Blackmagic Export” option in Photoshop, but from what I see, that only sends a still image through the DeckLink, it’s not a live feed. So:Is there any way to preview or edit live in Photoshop, using the DeckLink output, so I can view the true, unmanaged signal on my reference monitor while I work? Had no issues for the past 4 years, go into work today and try and open photoshop and nothing happens. A photoshop background process appears in my task manager and sits there doing nothing. Have uninstalled/reinstalled photoshop and creative cloud and restarted my laptop severall times and the same thing happens. Updated my drivers and even tried switching between game and studio drivers to the same result. Every other adobe application opens fine, just not photoshop.. Even tried going into %appdata% > Local\Adobe\OOBE and deleting the opm.db file, logging out and relaunching creativecloud and again.. nothing. Photoshop refuses to open as anything but a background application??? Went home on my lunch break and booted photoshop 1st try on my home pc.

This drives me nuts.Photoshop just won't paste the last copied image (from internets). It always pastes the previous one. So if I copy image #1, then image #2, then press ctrl-v in Photoshop, it pastes image #1.Attached is a video (with cats!), illustrating the problem.Looks like this is a very old bug, there are posts from 1,2,3 years ago with the same problem here and on reddit.It bugged me in the old version, it still bugs me in the new one. Problem occurs ONLY in photoshop. I also didn't have this problem before around 2020 version.Does anyone have a solution?Copying twice doesn't help. Workarounds like paste it into some other program and then copy it again to paste into Photoshop are killing me.Important note: I'm on Windows, apparantly it doesn't happen on Mac.

Hallo Leute folgendes...Mir ist bis jetzt schon mehrmals während des arbeitens folgendes passiert.....egal ob in camera Raw oder in Photoshop ob nur mit herkömmlicher benutzung des programmes oder wenn nur einfache KI unterstützung im spiel war, das plötzlich der Bildschirm zb schwarz wurde und nicht mehr reagierte dann entweder von selbst heruntergefahren wurde oder von selbst manchmel machte ich einen neustart weil er nicht mehr reagierte.nicht immer aber wenn, dann wenn ich etwas länger dran arbeitete.mein system wurde erst aus verschiedenen problemen erneuert und habe erst eine neue grafikkarte gekauf. also von dem her sollte alles gut sein?Ich hörte das anscheinend mehrere leute das selbe oder ähnliche problem damit haben ? kann das sein? Lg Gerry Innsbruck

As the title says, remove tool keeps getting stuck loading as shown in the preview below.It worked fine last night. Drivers and software are up to date. Tried fiddling with settings as suggested with to people with similar issues, still the same. Tried reinstalling, same thing. 

Hey there, I am helpless.I am Using Photoshop CC 2014, always the newest version, on a mac.Here's the problem: I am usually working in PSDs with many layers, and some smart objects. Inside of the smart objects, I have content that I can change.So when I save the contents inside of a Smart Object, it also changes them inside of the main PSD.BUT - since months, I can't save the changes inside of a Smart Object. Photoshop is telling me:Can't save this document back to its original file format. Flatten layers and discard extra data as necessary and choose File > Save again.When I flatten the image, the Smart Object has no usage for me, because it's like a rasterized layer.Someone help me?  I didn't find a solution in the internet!Btw: I already tried reinstalling Photoshop. The issue is still there.Thank you.

Hi Adobe team and fellow Photoshop users,I’ve been working with Photoshop since the late 90s, and like many of us, it’s been a tool I’ve relied on for both personal and professional projects.In my current work, I edit over 500 images a day, and one thing that continues to slow down workflows—especially in high-volume editing—is the inability to carry over certain command settings between images.A simple option to “remember last used settings” (via a checkbox, for example) would save countless repetitive adjustments and really improve quality of life for anyone handling large batches of images daily.Additionally, bringing back scroll-wheel brush resizing would also make the creative process smoother and more intuitive, rather than interrupting the flow. (Currently using the scroll wheel makes the canvas move slightly up or slightly down, and honestly, I have never once used this over holding down the space bar for example, or using the navigator etc.)These aren’t just small conveniences

Regarding brush options, is there a way to link the settings for the sample layer to each layer individually?(For example, I want to fix “Current Layer & Below” for Layer A and “Current Layer” for Layer B, and switch between them while working.)

When im working on a large image (5m x 2m) layers just wont merge. the grey circles go round and then nothing happens, nothing is merged. Its only on large files, why is this a problem ive never had before? I updated photoshop to the latest version and still the same. Its incredibly frustrating, i cant have all these stray layers. 

I recently noticed these lines appearing under my text when typing in a text box in photoshop.  I find them incredibly annoying and want to know how to permanently get rid of them.  Someone in another forum suggested using Ctrl + H, which only works for a second and then the lines return.   Using Windows PC, Photoshop 25.12.3. Thank you!GS  

Just installed the new Photoshop app for iPhone. Loaded an existing PSDC from the cloud created by desktop Photoshop 26.11.0. Select a text layer, tap layer properties, and Text Options and Edit Text are grayed out. The rest of the icons are useable (Blend, etc.). If I create a new file with a simple plain text layer, I can edit text on iPhone, no problem. So... there's something in the properties of the text layer I created by desktop Photoshop that's stopping Photoshop on iPhone from being able to edit the text. I can't figure out what is stopping it from being editable.  No effects, no grouping, I right clicked the layer and selected "clear layer style", that didn't help. But some text layers are editable in the same file, layers that have bevel/stroke/glow styles set. This really puts a crimp in any workflow from desktop to iPhone if I can't even edit text in all my text layers. Any idea what it is? It's not a font issue... layer font is available on iPhone... I also checked o
