HelloPlease suggest Modify option in select menu is greyed out in Adobe photshop 2020How to fix it

I still use Save for Web (Legacy). I save images for the web every day, and this tool is still better than Save a Copy. Save for Web (Legacy) lets me specify the dimensions of the file being saved. It gives me an approximate file size prediction. I have been using it since it was on Imageready a million years ago, and I will keep using it for as long as I can. Is there any earthly way I can save a WebP in there? Because the file size projection and being able to specify the resolution isn't in Save a Copy and that would come in incredibly handy. 

Used Photoshop since 1996 - never had ‘items on my screen have a blue outline/edge’.REALLY annoying when trying to line something up - visually.Someone suggested View>Show>Layer Edges in another question - but that doesn’t turn the blue lines off.How do you turn this really annoying ‘feature’ off?Also: When I budge something - I get a ‘tutorial offer to explain nudging’ window on the left - can these go away forever as well?

Hi, First, I am a student and I am using mac book air. Second, I am from United Arab Emirates and our first language is Arabic. When I try to write in photoshop using arabic: 1. It types the word at the wrong direction (left to right). It should type it from the right side to the left.2. The letters are not connected to each other. It types the letters as individual letters which is not the case at arabic language.I have download many arabic fonts and tried them all but they all give me the same problem. Since me and many students are suffering from this issue your help will be most appreciated.Thank you so much.

Photoshop's generative features are billed per generation. When a result is usable, it saves real time; however, they aren't consistent. I can use the same engine, same prompt, and same selection, and the result varies wildly run to run. When it misses, I regenerate. The second attempt costs another credit. So does the third. Potential solutions:1. Don't charge for regenerations of the same prompt and selection in a session. I paid for the intent. Let me iterate to a usable result.2. Auto-credit when the system returns nothing usable.3. Deduct the credit only when I accept a result into my file, not on every attempt.4. Give pros a way to lock and reproduce a generation that worked, plus an honest published success rate.

Hi. I have 1 year plan for photoshop and lightroom and im paying 25 euro per month for it. But soon im going to be student. Is it possible to change the plan for cheaper student version without any expenses or having to pay the rest pf the plan. 

Hi, may I ask why the 'Rotate Object' feature is unavailable for me? I'm using Photoshop version 27.6 and my generative credits are fully topped up. Thanks for your help!   

Hello, I would like to report what appears to be a long-standing bug in Photoshop’s Content-Aware Crop. Photoshop version Photoshop 27.8.0 (latest version) Windows 11 Issue When using the Crop Tool with Content-Aware Fill enabled and rotating the image to straighten the horizon, Photoshop sometimes leaves thin unfilled white borders along one or two edges of the image. The borders may be: 1 pixel wide, or several pixels wide, sometimes on one edge, sometimes on two adjacent edges. These white areas become part of the actual image and remain after saving as PSD. This is not a display or GPU artifact. Important observation I have experienced this issue since approximately 2022–2023, across multiple Photoshop versions, including the current version 27.8.0. Testing performed During testing I found: The problem occurs on different photographs. It also occurs on flat-color images. It occurs in 8-bit RGB documents. This has happened before - I open Photoshop and I get the error message that PS couldn’t load the actions and then they are now gone.  Please tell me there is a way of recovering these.  I generally back them up every month or so, but I had just created a couple of new actions last week and I haven’t backed those up.(I am so sick and tired of this program glitching and either dumping the actions or dumping my keyboard shortcuts that I have set.  I have saved my custom workspace before and EVEN THAT is getting dumped at random, for no reason.)

I go through the steps in Settings → Privacy and Security → Full Disk AccessI click the + icon and look for Photoshop 2026 and add it but it does not show up in the list of applications with full access.There are 12 applications with full access including Photoshop Beta, Lightroom Classic, etc.Why can I not add Photoshop 2026?

Hi there, We frequently upload and export images to our e-commerce website, and we use a specific naming convention for our products, such as "J.1.MJ0565-1," which includes multiple dots. When I attempt to use the Export As function, it duplicates the entire name every time. However, my colleague encounters a different problem (see attached screenshots) where they have to manually copy and paste repeatedly, resulting in inefficiency. We have compared our settings, but we haven't been able to identify the source of the issue. Could you possibly assist us? Thank you!

In the Color Picker tool, Photoshop presents the Lab values of colors if you type in the RGB or HSB values. I doubt Adobe goes to one of the color conversion websites to get the Lab values. Does anybody know the formula they use to calculate it? Scott

I once encountered a situation where the original JPG image was very clear, but after one modification, I directly pressed the shortcut key, Ctrl+S， There is no prompt for cooperation.But after the book was printed, it was found that the image was very blurry, and the ultimate reason may be that the default option for storage was "quality 5" or below, but there was no warning about this.You may not believe it, but sometimes when you save a JPG, the default "quality" pop-up may not necessarily be the highest 12, it could be 8 or lower.This is terrible. Is there a way to make the default Ctrl+S save JPG with "quality" set to 12 and "format" set to baseline ("standard")?

I’m trying to create a half-drop pattern and need the Offset filter to work properly. However, when I use Offset on a smart object, the smart object gets cropped.I need it to stop cropping so I can create the pattern correctly. It seems like a bug, because if I manually move the smart object outside the canvas, it doesn’t crop. It only crops when I use Offset. Any suggestions on how to fix this. 

I have a question, how to practically work with Paint Bucket tool.  For example here, I have the outline and I would like it to change to black. However it is not capable to change it smoothly. Usually I don't have the advantage of being it on seperate layer for color overlay.   

Hi All,Do not append “copy” … NOT working! - Do not add “copy” checked – still one copy added to file name every time.- Do not add “copy”  unchecked – copy copy (twice) added to file name. I tried it with "Legacy Save As" on and off – no difference. All that only when using an action I made: save as > PNG > save > closeWhen saving as manually / without action it works.I made sure the action reflects exactly the manual process Any ideas? (PS latest version / 24.1.1)Thanks

Using Mac OS, I am manually creating an Instagram Reel in Photoshop by stacking multiple images as layers and then converting them into frames using the Timeline panel. However, despite following the correct steps, I do not see the option "Make Frames from Layers" in the Timeline panel menu. Additionally, the "+" (Add Frame) button is missing. This issue has occurred multiple times. The first time, I resolved it by completely rebuilding the file, but now that the issue has reappeared, I believe I am missing something fundamental about how Photoshop handles this process.  I haven't been able to recreate the success from the last time this happened.  Steps Taken & Expected Behavior I am following these steps: 1. Prepare the Document   - Create a new 1080 x 1920 px, 300 dpi document.   - Load multiple images into separate layers using **File > Scripts > Load Files into Stack.   - Ensure the background is blurr

OS: Windows 11 Pro version 25H2GPU: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5090 driver version 596.49Primary display is an HDR OLED that has been calibrated via Portrait Displays Calman. Windows color management settings for this display are set to “Use my settings for this device” with my sRGB profile assigned for ICC and my HDR profile assigned for HDR.Windows HDR rendering is enabled system-wide, and my display is set to my calibrated HDR output mode. NVIDIA control panel is set to output 12 bits per channel full range RGB.I know Windows HDR rendering has a bad reputation, but this setup had been working without issue for two straight years.Unfortunately, Photoshop update 27.5 (and all more recent updates newer than 27.5) have broken sRGB rendering. how do I get rid of photoshop 2026 home screen? 

There seems to be a new bug(?) when pasting objects in layers from InDesign to Photoshop. When I have objects on certain layers and I paste it into Photoshop, for some reason the layers get reversed.I’m including screenshots of a test showing the pink text is infront of the green text in InDesign, and when pasted into Photoshop as a vector graphic, the layers getting reverse. The only way to resolve it is to group the items in InDesign which I prefer not to do as it adds yet one more step.I use this function a lot and it’s the first time I’ve come across it.I tried a copy/paste from Illustrator 30.5.1 to Photoshop using the same idea and I didn’t experience the same problem.InDesign 21.4.1Photoshop 27.8.0Mac Mini 2024 - Sequoia 15.7.4 

I used shortcut to set color on background but it didn't work. It didn't error. It just simply didn't work. I seriously need help. 🥺
