I need help with my brush settings! PLEASE! I have been running PS 2020 for a while now and have had no issues — but when I updated to PS 2023I cannot get the brush tool to behave in the same way! The problem when I use PS 2023 is that the brush doesn't completely fill in with the color — there is a ring around it that is still unfilled.BUT! In PS 2020 the brush color fills the circle all the way to the edge of the brush outline (the full dimensions aka: 250px). I am not using a tablet — just a mouse — so it isn't "pen pressure" or something like that.WTH is going on here? There is a setting somewhere but I can't find it! I have opened both versions side-by-side and checked all the brush settings but they are set exactly the same, so it must be some other setting menu that I can't find. I am on an iMac.
I get this error (Could not complete your request because the file was not found.) when I want to open photoshop. I first open photoshop this popup appears and when I press ok button then photoshop will close again.I have searched on the internet and all suggest to reset preference, but how do I reset it while photoshop does not open at all, is there any solution for this error I get?
I'm familiar with image > transform rotate, scale etc. So when setting a transform, I can change the reference point by Ctrt T and tehn dragging the centre to wherever I want it. So far so good.If I want to set it numerically, I have to move the reference point and then type in centre X, centre Y and rotation angle. Up until that moment it assumes that those values are it's transform location. The only difference being is that the centre of the grid of 9 squares is left unfilled:So without offsetting the reference point first (which seem counter-intuitive if you are putting in numeric values)ORtoggling the reference point location every and then back on again (v annoying)Is there a keyboard shortcut or button for this?
Почему у меня увеличивается оперативная память (RAM) до 20 гигабайтов, когда я особо ничего не деалю в фотошопе, всего лишь потянул шифтом текст, чтобы увеличить его по холсту и попросту набирает, не опускаясь.
its untrusted file ,could you pls send me the compressed file setup ?
I’ve got photos in a serie but the color tone of the photos is not quite the same. Is it possible in Photoshop to point to one photo and the other photos will adjust to that color tone? If no, is there another program for this opportunity/wish?

I have extensively customized my preferences, keyboard shortcuts and toolbar. With Keyboard shortcuts, I often overwrite a default shortcut, either of the particular action or the keyboard shortcut of another action. I then click Accept. At some point while using PS, I will attempt to use a keyboard shortcut and it no longer works. In fact none of the custom ones work. PS has without any notice switched back to using the default keyboard shortcut. The same thing happens to preferences. This is happening multiple times/session. I deleted PS and reinstalled it and it still happens. I've tried the different version of PS. It still happens. There's no notification from PS. I find out when I look at the list of recent docs and find it too short. I find out when a keyboard shortcut no longer works. What's going on????? There is nothing in the log files of a change in the source of the keyboard or general settings. Help Please. I've worked continuou
question says it all. I was working on a script to toggle between the layer and the layer mask selection, but I was unable to find a way to check which one is currently selected.
Hi, Thanks to all who took part in our last, 'Prickly Issue', challenge. We had a great range of entries with both still images and animations. 'Time and tide wait for no man', says the old proverb. Hi All, I hope this is going to be a quick fix... dont know why Adobe have to change thing that work really well. But when I'm using the brush tool and need select a diffrent colour, I hold down "option " eyedropper shows up the then select the colour I looking for... But it assigns it to the background pannel which it never did before this update, It always put the new colour on the forground pannel which made perfect sence. So you have to keep switching the pannels, I hope Im missing a quick fix here 🙂
I just upgraded to Pshop 26.7.0 and Geretate Image/Fill is greyed out. Right in the middle of a project. What gives here ?
I just bought a base model surface laptop 7 and I'm having trouble understanding what's going on when I switch color profiles. I'm using a display p3 tagged image from a wide gamut test website and viewing it in Microsoft photo viewer and photoshop simultaneously. The laptop has two individually calibrated color profiles--vivid and srgb. When set to vivid, the image looks as follows with a vibrant red around the w in both programs: when set to srgb, the image in photo viewer demonstrates what I think should be the expected behavior and shows a uniform, less vibrant red with no w while photoshop shows a less vibrant red background and an even less vibrant w still apparent (incidentally this is how it behaves in chrome as well): I'm trying to understand what's going on and how to fix it if it needs fixing.Srgb tagged images look the same between the two programs in vivid mode but photoshop displays them with washed out colors when in srgb mode while photo viewer still shows the same imag
I have noticed recently that when I select a text area and I am changing it I am unable to see the change until i click away from it. This just started happening.... In better words, if I had text that said GRAND OPENING and I select it and type GRAND OPENING JULY 10th, I do not see the changes until I click on another tool or hit esc.. Usually you can see what your typing as you do it... Any ideas what I did wrong
I am a full-on CC subscriber; not in trial mode. I'm using Photoshop 19 (in the version of CC that updated in November 2017). Every time I hover my mouse over a tool that I haven't used yet, a gigantic video tutorial popup pops up that shows me how to use the tool. I've been using Photoshop since version 2.0, before there were layers; I know my way around the toolbar. How do I disable this "feature?"While I'm at it, there was some other video popup that tried to get me to learn how to place an image on an object in Dimension. If I'm interested in using Dimension, I'll use it; I don't need you taking up my screen and brain space pointing it out. How do I disable this "feature," as well? Thanks.
Hi everyone,I have hundreds of SuperPaint files created in the late 1990s and early 2000s that were just recovered off an old MacMini. I also have SuperPaint diskettes. The Mac mini is damaged and may not be repairable. That being said, I am trying to find a way to get them into a current program, like Photoshop. My last resort is to locate an older Mini with MacOS 10.4, a compatible diskette drive, and install SuperPaint. Then I would open up and save every file as a PICT file. I think Photoshop can still open those up.If anyone has any ideas, I would love to hear. And if I get a solution, I will post it because there have to be many more SuperPaint enthusiasts who sadly miss their no longer compatible files. In fact, since SuperPaint was the next generation after the famous MacPaint, I think this story is historically significant. I even wonder if the Computer History Museum in Mountain View collects experts who know about these older, historically important software programs. I had a
Hi Guys, I couldn't find any change to complete the pattern in the blank. Generative fill is not capable of my tries.
I am running Windows 10 and am considering purchasing a large UHD (4K) monitor, such as the NEC PA322 UHD. The smallest I would consider would be a 27 inch monitor. Do you anticipate that I would encounter any scaling problems running Photoshop CS6 with either of these monitors? My computer is a Dell XPS 8700 desktop with an i7 processor, and a AMD Radeon R9 270 graphics card. It's clear that people who are using small laptops with UHD monitors have encountered scaling problems with Photoshop. Does anyone anticipate encountering scaling issues with larger monitors. I see that some individuals have found slow performance when using a MAC in conjunction with the PA322 UHD. Does anyone have experience using either a 27 or 32 inch UHD monitor with a PC in Photoshop? Thank you for your help.Jack McEwan
My Photoshop 2024 window is bigger than my Mac screen so I can't reach the Trash, new layer etc. buttons. Can someone tell me how to resize it. Thank you.
I upgraded to Photoshop v. 25.1 and now the Generative Fill dialog box is grayed out -- both in the contextual task bar and in the edit menu. I have reset the preferences, and have uninstalled and reinstalled the app. But it is always grayed out. It worked in the Beta version for me. Have I overlooked something in setup?
Macbook Air M3, 8GB, 15inch 2024Photoshop memory usage grows by 10MB per second with no files open. Photoshop has become unuasble. Not great considering my job is at least 50% Photoshop use. This session I lost some work because I had to Force Quit PS yet again (numerous times a day) because I had waited 10 mins for a flat file to save. It has hung at 93%. I've tried going back to 2024 and there is a small improvement. I'm back to 2025 because I uninstalled all PS versions and then installed 2025 again to see if it made a difference. I've attached a video of Activity Monitor showing Photoshop's increasing memory usage. I have no files open in Photoshop while this video taken.
When I open the keyboard in Photoshop for iPad the canvas disappears to the upperside. How do I solve this?
I've seen post about this being a permissions issue commonly related to work computers etc... but i can assure you its not a permissions issue on my side. this is a perosnal computer, ive been dealing with this issue across 3 different computers since ive had photoshop over the last 10 years or so. I'm just sick and tired of it at this point. every now and then all my shortcuts just get set to default. no major update was done. heck sometimes no update was done at all. all my keyboard shortcuts just go away and i have spend the next hour or so hunting down what i used becuase everything i did is off muscle memory. i tried saving my shortcuts and reloading them everytime it happens by appending the previous (deafults) but the saved shortcut files dont do anything. moment it says are you sure you want to rewrite previous files, it thinks for alittle bit as if its loading my shortcuts in but nothing. Adobe this is getting incredibly frustrating, at one point you even compensated me for th
This has come up before, but none of the answers seems to solve my problem. I've just bought a Canon R7 to replace an old Rebel. I'm shooting in raw and HEIF. The Raw versions are unusuable given their immense grain showing in PS, while the HEIF are fine with even greater zoom. The RAW photos do not show the grain when viewed in Mac Preview, so the logical deduction is that the camera is not producing grainy shots; there is some PS setting that degrades the image, at least onscreen. The only other time I had this same problem, I was reading the Rebel files directly from the SD card, but in this case I've transferred the files to the internal Mac drive. Lesson learned but not problem solved. It's an M2 Macbook Air. I'm uploading screen shots. Both are opened in PS and the grainier is RAW. Also a basic Get Info.
So I'm trying to copy objects from Illustrator and paste them into Photoshop. I've done this hundreds of times before, but now I'm having issues where the pixels are ending up super sharp and jagged instead of smooth like they used to be. Did I accidentally trip a setting somewhere? Thanks! What I want:What I am getting:
